Approx. DOB: 1/23/17 Approx Weight: 65 Lbs Adoption Fee: $175 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Hank was initially surrendered to Furry Kids' due to the health of his owner. He was recently surrendered by his adoptive family because they are transferring overseas with the military. He is in a Furry Kids' foster home and his foster family had this to say about him: 'He really is the sweetest dog. I’m thinking he is English Mastiff and German Shepherd mix. Hank is both loving and playful. He plays with our big dog and enjoys her company. He loves all human cuddles and pets and would love to sit with you on the couch all night after a hard day. He does like to try to get his humans to play with him like a dog and will bark playfully to get you to play. He is crate trained and housebroken.' Hank should not be placed in a home with small dogs under 20pds. He doesn't like to be growled at or bossed around by the ones smaller. Hank does have allergies. He recently received an allergy shot. Hank has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped. Enid is about four years old and, without reading ahead, go ahead and guess what specific breeds she is. There are five! Drumroll, please... Enid is bull mastiff, Neapolitan mastiff, German shepherd, cane corso, and labrador retriever! All of those in 70 pounds of cuteness. Enid loves laying in the grass, playing fetch (but not so much bringing the item back to you), chewing on sticks, sleeping on her back, getting belly rubs, riding in cars, and hanging out with her people. She is also a fan of playing in water from the hose or in a kiddie pool. However, don't ask Enid to step outside to potty in the rain unless you're willing to go out with her! She is super smart and already knows sit, shake, down, place, kennel, come, look at me, through the legs, and wait (for food). Squeaky toys will motivate her; toys, not as much. Go figure! Because Enid is such a smarty pants, keeping her mind busy helps to keep her out of mischief. While she can't do crossword puzzles, she is really good at snuffle mats, lick mats, and peanut butter stuffed Kongs! If you're looking for a super snuggly, Velcro pooch, Enid is not that. She's fairly independent but will seek out pets and attention. She also likes to sleep in her human's bed sometimes, if she's not napping in her own dog bed. Hi all! I’m Toaster! My friends call me Toast for short. I’m not really sure how I got my name. Although the more that I think about it, maybe it’s because when you meet me, I will make your heart all warm and toasty? Yes, I think maybe that HAS to be it! Mystery solved! Although since I solve mysteries so well, maybe I should have been named Scooby Doo! Anyhow, before I get distracted, let me tell you some things about me. I’m about 5 years old and they think I’m a mastiff or Cane Corso mix. So I’m kind of a big guy! But that doesn’t mean I have a big head! I mean, PHYSICALLY I do have a big head. What I mean is I don’t have a big head like a big ego. Gosh, sometimes it’s difficult to communicate in human. Really, I’m just a happy guy, who is extremely curious about new things. I love going on walks and checking everything out with my nose. I really love checking out storm drains and sewers. I mean, you never know what might be living in them! I seem to like to meet new people on my walks, too. I usually walk quite nicely on the leash unless I see something I really want to check out, and then I forget not to pull. It’s hard to remember to walk nicely when you seek something really interesting! But I’m more than happy to work on my leash manners a bit. I absolutely love riding in the car, and I am VERY well behaved riding in the car. I also love to play with toys like tennis balls and stuffies. I will admit, I sometimes think I’m the size of a puppy and I often get bouncy like a puppy! And I’ve been known to do zoomies when I get really excited. It seems to make everyone laugh. And I sure like making people laugh. I’ve been known to give big slurpy kisses and to “hug” people when I think they need it. So I hope you like kisses and hugs. I like when humans pet me, but I much prefer booty scratches to head scratches. (I’ll let you in on a little secret; many dogs prefer that!) I think there’s almost nothing as good as a good booty scratch. Except maybe car rides. I’m pretty good at sitting when asked, and I’m learning new things. I just haven’t had a whole lot of training with such requests, but I am receiving some now and I love to learn! Especially when learning is accompanied by some tasty treats! I am NOT a fan of cats. Well, I mean I AM a fan of CHASING cats, but that activity seems to be frowned upon. So I need a home without cats. In fact, I'd like to be your one and only pet, if you don't mind. Bitsie, an 8-year-old mastiff mix who needed a new home after her owner passed away. She had been living in very poor conditions and arrived obese, with severe foot infections, patchy hair, and other health issues. Although our building was full, ABF helped by arranging veterinary care, providing supplies, and eventually placing her in temporary foster care. Over several months, Bitsie underwent extensive testing and treatment for a persistent bacterial and staph infection in her feet, as well as a UTI and hyperthyroidism. After multiple medication adjustments and specialist visits, her condition gradually improved. As of October, her infection has drastically decreased, her pain has subsided, she is now thriving on a maintenance regimen. She's transformed into a healthier, happier dog. Bitsie continues her Thyro tabs for her hyperthyroidism and Ketoconazole and Sporimune to maintain the care of her feet. Bitsie for the first time is like a puppy. She is enjoying life. She has always given sloppy kisses, but even more now that she feels good. Bitsie runs around the yard, tossing her toys up in the air, chasing balls and rolling in the grass. She also loves car rides and thinks she is a lapdog. I know she has had a long journey to get where she is today and may have to continue some medications, but we are still going to hold out hope that someday she can have her own family. She is very strong, active, smart and wants to please you. Bitsie needs a family that can train her and love her for the rest of her life.
