Meet Rosie. Rosie is 6.5 years and and the absolute sweetest. She is house trained and great with kids. She became part of our family when one adult was working from home and we lived on land. We are now both gone with work and kids activities most of the time and are moving to a small yard. We are looking for someone to give Rosie the love and attention she deserves. She is a big enough dog to look intimidating, but is actually the biggest softie, which is exactly what we wanted. She has grown up with a 5 lb Havanese dog, and is great with her. She chases cats and squirrels so would not be good in a cat home.

𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗣𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗧𝗢𝗡 🤍🐷 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 Compton 🤍 We promise to find you a 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 this time 🙏 Compton found his way to our city shelter back in January of 2025 as a stray with a collar and leash still attached, but sadly no one came forward 😞 He quickly showed signs of kennel stress, but luckily was sprung by a foster hero, and then what he thought was his furever home…2 months later he was dropped off for dogsitting, the owner blocked the sitter, and never came back for our sweet ham 😭 He was once again adopted again, and later picked up by the Humane Society as a stray and transferred back to CARE. After 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀, Compton is FREE of shelter life, decompressing in a home, and snoring like a grown man 😆 (check out the comments for a video!) This level white noise happens when a shelter dog feels like they can finally relax 🥲 The ONLY reason we were able to help Compton is because a 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼 opened their home 🏡 THANK YOU to all the heroes—you are truly saving a life. Hi all! I’m Toaster! My friends call me Toast for short. I’m not really sure how I got my name. Although the more that I think about it, maybe it’s because when you meet me, I will make your heart all warm and toasty? Yes, I think maybe that HAS to be it! Mystery solved! Although since I solve mysteries so well, maybe I should have been named Scooby Doo! Anyhow, before I get distracted, let me tell you some things about me. I’m about 5 years old and they think I’m a mastiff or Cane Corso mix. So I’m kind of a big guy! But that doesn’t mean I have a big head! I mean, PHYSICALLY I do have a big head. What I mean is I don’t have a big head like a big ego. Gosh, sometimes it’s difficult to communicate in human. Really, I’m just a happy guy, who is extremely curious about new things. I love going on walks and checking everything out with my nose. I really love checking out storm drains and sewers. I mean, you never know what might be living in them! I seem to like to meet new people on my walks, too. I usually walk quite nicely on the leash unless I see something I really want to check out, and then I forget not to pull. It’s hard to remember to walk nicely when you seek something really interesting! But I’m more than happy to work on my leash manners a bit. I absolutely love riding in the car, and I am VERY well behaved riding in the car. I also love to play with toys like tennis balls and stuffies. I will admit, I sometimes think I’m the size of a puppy and I often get bouncy like a puppy! And I’ve been known to do zoomies when I get really excited. It seems to make everyone laugh. And I sure like making people laugh. I’ve been known to give big slurpy kisses and to “hug” people when I think they need it. So I hope you like kisses and hugs. I like when humans pet me, but I much prefer booty scratches to head scratches. (I’ll let you in on a little secret; many dogs prefer that!) I think there’s almost nothing as good as a good booty scratch. Except maybe car rides. I’m pretty good at sitting when asked, and I’m learning new things. I just haven’t had a whole lot of training with such requests, but I am receiving some now and I love to learn! Especially when learning is accompanied by some tasty treats! I am NOT a fan of cats. Well, I mean I AM a fan of CHASING cats, but that activity seems to be frowned upon. So I need a home without cats. In fact, I'd like to be your one and only pet, if you don't mind.
