Ralph the Derp! Ralph is a huge friendly, enthusiastic, uncoordinated 4-legged energetic goofball! He was rescued from “death row” at a high kill shelter, as a skinny stray with a treatable skin condition. His fur has almost completely grown in & he is now at a healthy weight. This overgrown mastiff/Cane Corso mix pup has no comprehension of his size, leaning into humans for affection or trying to ooze onto laps for cuddles. He is being trained not to jump and not to paw for attention/affection/play because he currently has 85# of mass behind those “congenial” moves. Ralph plays well with dogs of all sizes, but would do best with med-to-larger dogs due to his size & poorly curbed gusto. He hordes toys, taking them all to his chosen dog bed of the day. He likes to carry a special toy “baby” in his mouth when going out in the yard. He does need to be fed in his crate & will guard his empty food bowl from other dogs, unless he is distracted with a toy & led outdoors after meals. He is great on a leash, makes awesome grunty sounds when cuddled, enjoys baths. Ralph will make a great addition to an active family with older children. He is eager to please, food and affection oriented (although a bit stubborn at times), making him an ideal candidate for success with continuation of his training. Please consider adopting the gorgeous big derp into your home. He is 8 years old. We have had him since he was a puppy and he was not around many other people so he takes time to warm up to other people and has a hard time with men, usually growling at them. He has warmed up to few men so we believe it is possible for him to live with a man but we recommend caution and to watch out for aggressive behavior. He has separation anxiety. He also will get into the trash if it is left out. If he is left in a kennel he will most likely try to break out if he is alone and has hurt himself in the past getting out of kennels. He has been around animals before but is not good with aggressive or rowdy animals and he is territorial. He did fine in a kennel when there was another dog with him so it may be that he does not like being alone. He's a good boy and once he's warmed up to you he'll be the sweetest, goofiest dog we just aren't equipped to handle him and we are moving. He is very communicative and has a big personality. He just needs a little extra care.

Hello! This is Teddy. He's a sweet boy that needs lots of love. He melts in the hand of anyone willing to scratch his ears. We got him as a puppy winter 2019. He's a pit bull mastiff mix, neutered, and in good health other than needing up-to-date shots. He loves snuggling in bed, carrying around stuffed animals like a child with a baby doll, and running around the yard. He's good with babies and small children, other dogs, and loves to meet new people. I listed behavioral reasons as the reason for re-homing Teddy, and that's only because we've had trouble house training him. With a small child in the house and hopefully more to come, we've realized that we lost control of the situation and have been unable to break him from the peeing habit. Teddy deserved humans that have the time and patience to train him properly and give him the attention that he requires. He's a good sweet boy that needs the extra effort that we're unable to provide.
