Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Sunflower, Mastiff mix, Tan and White, Female spayed, 11 months old Sunflower is a young and high energy girl who loves getting lots of attention!  She is still young and has minimal to no training, so a family that has experience with her breed, and has the time and energy to work on her basic training would be best for her.   Sunflower is reactive around other animals and does need to be the only pet in the home.  She may be too much for kids, so a home with children over the age of 15 may be best for her.    **This dog is at the Ocean County Animal Facility North located at 615 Fremont Ave, Jackson NJ (off of Hope Chapel Rd).  All dogs are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and have age appropriate shots.** To adopt our dogs you must come to the facility with your entire family, including dogs, to meet with our staff and the dog you are interested in. We are open to the public seven days a week between the hours of 1pm and 4pm.   Please call our facility at 732-657-8086 for more information about any of our pets! August 18, 2026, 11:03 am

Story
Jeffrey, Mastiff/Shepherd mix, Brindle, Male neutered, 2 years old Jeffrey is a very handsome boy!  He may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, he is very sweet and enjoys getting attention.  Jeffrey is a very big boy and is very strong when being walked on a leash. He needs a family that can handle a dog of his size and is experienced with his breed.  Jeffrey does not seem to enjoy the company of other animals and would do best as the only pet in the home.  He also needs a home without children, as they would be too much for him. Story
This is LOUIE! He is in New York waiting to meet you! This loyal guy has one thing on his mind - to love his human. This 76.5 pound (as of 8/11/24) and approximately 5.5 year old (as of January 31, 2025) gentle soul is affectionate and loves to just relax on the couch. He wants to be with his human to get hugs and kisses. His gentle nature and easy going personality are the perfect combination. We think he is a Mastiff mix. This handsome guy was on an euthanasia list in California but we rescued him. LOUIE is calm and laid back. His will make a perfect best buddy. If you're interested in making LOUIE part of your family, please fill out an application on our website or send us an email with any questions. We can't wait to hear from you! If you feel that LOUIE is a good fit for you/your family, please complete an application from our site, miraclesforsatosrescue.org FOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION PLEASE COMPLETE AN APPLICATION! https://www.miraclesforsatosrescue.org/adopt Please then email the application back to us at miraclesforsatosrescue@gmail.com ------------------------------------- PLEASE READ: This dog is currently located in New York and is ready for a meet and greet. Once an adopter is approved, we transport to New York/New Jersey! We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it need for fulfillment. In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of puppy. Please also note that any dog that is "house trained" will still need patience in a new home, new people and new schedule. Please be ready to house train ANY dog you adopt! Thank you for understanding.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Melvin is a young Boerboel mix, estimated to be about 1 year old, who came to us as a stray. We don't know much about his past, but we are excited to help him findthe bright future he deserves. Melvin is a big, goofy boy with an even bigger heart. He absolutely loves other dogs, especially dogs his own size, and nothing makes him happier than a good game of chase or some rough-and-tumble wrestling with a canine friend. Because he's still young, he's full of energy and doesn't always realize just how big he is. One of Melvin's sweetest qualities is how quickly he bonds with his people. He's a true shadow dog who wants to be wherever you are. Whether you're making dinner, watching TV, or working around the house, you will find a big slobbery face following right behind you. He loves being part of the family and is happiest when he's included. Melvin already has a great foundation for his new family. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash, making the transition into his forever home that much easier. He still has plenty to learn, and needs someone who will teach him. He's been around children and has done well, though his size and enthusiastic play style mean he'll do best with a family that can help him continue learning good manners. Melvin is eager to please and will thrive with patient guidance, regular exercise, and lots of opportunities to play. Melvin should not be placed in a home with cats. He simply wants to play with them the same way he plays with big dogs, and because of his size and rough play style, it's just not safe for feline friends. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side, make you laugh with his oversized puppy antics, and happily cover you in a little slobber along the way, Melvin may be the perfect fit. He didn't get to choose how his story started, but he's more than ready for a family to help write the rest of it. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER: Your new, lovable sidekick awaits! HISTORY: Unknown. Found abandoned in Kentucky with his mom                                                   PERSONALITY: Norman is such a sweet, mild-mannered boy. He is still shy when meeting new people and can be fearful of men/reactive to loud noises, but once he knows you, he is a total love bug! Norman thinks that all dogs and cats are just friends he hasn’t met yet, but he also respects when this opinion isn’t reciprocated. Since Norman is still young, he enjoys some bouts of playfulness, but he also enjoys his naps and sleeping in. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Carrying around his toys, making new friends, being close to his person/people, and being loved on. MEDICAL ISSUES: No known issues.  WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME:  Norman would love to have a home where he gets plenty of love and attention, and hopefully has some four-legged friends to play with. Although he is doing fairly well with house-training, he will need someone that understands his cues. He will also need someone that understands that he is still a puppy and doesn’t know the difference between an acceptable toy and your slippers. Norman is also quite the ladies man and seems to prefer females over males for his human(s). Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
