Story
Sasha is a sweet female Mastiff mix, 69 lbs and about 1½ years old, who is looking for a safe place to land. She was found as a stray and is believed to have possibly been hit by a car. A veterinary exam showed no broken bones, which is great news, but she is still being monitored for any possible after effects.Sasha is a bit timid at first, which is understandable given what she has likely been through. With a slow approach and a calm, gentle greeting, she begins to relax and show her softer side. She walks well on a leash and seems to appreciate quiet reassurance. As we spend more time getting to know Sasha, we will continue to share updates about her personality and needs. For now, she is a gentle soul who could really use patience, kindness, and a loving home.If you are interested in meeting Sasha, please complete an Interest Form. An adoption counselor will contact you to schedule an appointment.February 13, 2026, 4:51 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER: Gentle Giant Goofball Seeking his Forever Snuggle Crew HISTORY: Atticus’s story is one of resilience and heart. He was found alone in a public park with an injured leg and later diagnosed with Lyme disease. At the time, he wasn’t used to living indoors, being around people, or even enjoying treats… all signs that he likely hadn’t experienced much comfort or stability early in life. Since then, he’s made incredible progress in foster care, learning that the world can be safe, kind, and full of love. PERSONALITY: Atticus is a goofy, friendly, big-hearted boy with an unbeatable outlook on life. This very friendly boy certainly knows how to work the room with that big grin. He’s obedient and great with other dogs but would also love you to teach him some new tricks. He has a playful, slightly sassy sense of humor and loves making his people smile. While loud noises and sudden movements can still startle him, he continues to grow more confident every day. He was initially nervous around men but has made wonderful strides and is becoming more relaxed and trusting with time and patience. He’s affectionate, gently, and happiest when he is close to his human and canine companions – a true velcro dog who just wants to belong. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Peanut butter and all kinds of treats Playing with stuffed toys (and impressively not eating the stuffing!) Going on walks and exploring the world Calmly riding in the car (he the best copilot ever!) Hanging out with his people or dog friends Watching squirrels… and possibly hoping they’ll be his friends He also has an adorable habit of carrying objects from room to room like little treasures, without chewing on them. MEDICAL ISSUES: Atticus was treated for Lyme disease and is doing well; he responded well to the medicine is a great medicine taker. Veterinarians believe he previously had a broken front leg that is healing nicely and is expected to continue improving with no surgery. He will benefit from routine vet care and continued monitoring as he grows. Atticus is a strong, resilient boy with a bright future. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: Atticus would thrive in a loving, active home with a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and play safely. He would especially do well with a family that enjoys companionships, because being close to his people and fellow pups is his favorite thing in the world. Another friendly dog would be a plus – he truly enjoys other dogs and has lived with another dog with one of his fosters, even squeezing himself into her bed just to be near her. He does well with children who are comfortable around large dogs and would make a wonderful playmate and loyal best friend. Because he is still young and learning, continued positive training would help Atticus grow into his best self.Click here to watch a video of Atticus (Popular Pup NO NEW APPS).Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
