Story
I’m Trinket, a not-so tiny 60 pound Mastiff Mix. A shy girl with first date jitters, I’m looking for a patient and respectful home that will allow to me feel comfy cozy at my own pace. Not a fan of overly handsy humans, I like to be the one to decide when it’s time for pets. Once I’m ready to play, I will be your new best friend! The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!

Story
Big dog lovers don’t miss the opportunity to meet this stunning boy! Maximus is an approximately 1 year old Mastiff Mix. He currently weighs about 115 lbs but needs to gain about 20-30 pounds, which should be no problem as he certainly enjoys mealtime! Maximus has a fun and goofy personality. He loves people and is very friendly, seeking out as much affection as he can get from our volunteers. This big hunk of love knows some commands and has learned very quickly how to walk well on a leash. He’s also an excellent passenger in the car. Maximus prefers the company of humans over canines, and would need to be the only pet in the home. Maximus is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. If you would like to be considered to adopt Maximus, please fill out an application at Rescueridge.com.   If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will get back to you to schedule a meet. Please, no inquiries without an adoption application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2024, 10:48 pm

Story
Honey was originally rescued by Rescue City in 2018, as a three month old puppy. She was adopted by a loving family who, due to no fault of her own, can no longer keep her. We stick by our dogs no matter what; once you’re a part of the #RescueCityFamily, you’re in for life. And we are determined to find Honey the loving home that is meant to be hers! 6 Year Old Honey is a happy, affectionate, energetic pup! She is house trained, crate trained, and healthy. She is very active and loves to play and has been living her whole life with young children! She can be picky with other dogs, so we’d suggest a dog-free home at this time, while we work on her socialization. Honey lives with a cat now, and sometimes tries to chase, but has never hurt the cat. She is nicely medium sized 30 pounds and is very loving toward all people!Honey is available for foster, adoption or Foster-to-Adopt program and needs placement ASAP.   ##932292##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Juliana is about 2 years old and has been living in a devoted foster home for a year and a half . Juliana was found with her brother Noah who has gone on to his forever home and is doing great. Juliana proved to be the more timid one and would be considered a feral dog.  In the year and a half that she has been in foster she has made some significant strides. She will need a special home and she is considered a project dog. If you have a pack of dogs and some patience she may be the dog for you  Julianna will need to go to a home with another dog or dogs and a securely fenced-in yard.     See Juliana playing here If you are interested submit an application at njshpetrescue.org * You must live within 90 minutes of Chester NJ to be considered as an in-person home visit is required for all adoptions. Story
Meet Lola Danforth! Such a sweet young lady. Lola is a nearly 7-month-old supermutt mix! We aren’t sure what is in her breed mix, but she seems to be pretty large for a puppy and we think she has some mastiff in her as well as pitbull terrier or american staffordshire terrier! She is currently about 55 pounds and could possibly grow close to 100 pounds. She is perfectly crate trained and will use Potty Pads if needed. She is also working on her leash training. She has been raised around dogs, and children, she will probably be fine with Cats as well, but has not been around them. Lola and her brother were found on the side of a busy rural road by her foster mom, they are lucky to be alive! Lola is ready to go to her forever home! Please put in an application as soon as possible, if you are interested in adopting Lola, she is waiting for you. Interested in becoming a forever home to Lola Danforth? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Lola Danforth. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Lola Danforth, the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
