Big dog lovers don’t miss the opportunity to meet this stunning boy! Maximus is an approximately 1 year old Mastiff Mix. He currently weighs about 115 lbs but needs to gain about 20-30 pounds, which should be no problem as he certainly enjoys mealtime! Maximus has a fun and goofy personality. He loves people and is very friendly, seeking out as much affection as he can get from our volunteers. This big hunk of love knows some commands and has learned very quickly how to walk well on a leash. He’s also an excellent passenger in the car. Maximus prefers the company of humans over canines, and would need to be the only pet in the home. Maximus is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. This beautiful, brindle Boerboel is Spice! She's about 3 1/2 years old and Spice had it rough in the past. She ended up in the wrong homes twice, but that's all in the past and we're not going to let her down.....we have to find her the best home ever! She deserves it! Spice is all mastiff! She's going to protect you, she's going to lean on you, staring at your lovingly while practically knocking you over, and she may not like every stranger instantly but she does love people once she gets to know them. Spice is about 125 lbs. but she's actually very good on a leash, she loves car rides, swimming, even baths! She's playful and loves her toys, and she's well-mannered too. Spice is one-woman-show, meaning no other pets for her. She has never been properly housebroken but our staff is working diligently on this and will be happy to teach an adopter how to continue with her training and in an experienced home, she's going to learn in no time! Honey was originally rescued by Rescue City in 2018, as a three month old puppy. She was adopted by a loving family who, due to no fault of her own, can no longer keep her. We stick by our dogs no matter what; once you’re a part of the #RescueCityFamily, you’re in for life. And we are determined to find Honey the loving home that is meant to be hers! 6 Year Old Honey is a happy, affectionate, energetic pup! She is house trained, crate trained, and healthy. She is very active and loves to play and has been living her whole life with young children! She can be picky with other dogs, so we’d suggest a dog-free home at this time, while we work on her socialization. Honey lives with a cat now, and sometimes tries to chase, but has never hurt the cat. Java is very sweet and loves to play! She enjoys being outside, hiking and loves going to dog parks to meet new fur friends. She’s great with people and children. She’s very friendly and always has a huge smile on her face! She understands commands like “sit”, “stay”, “food” (when its time to eat) and “come here girl!” both in English and in American Sign language. She is incredibly smart and a fast learner! She’s great with cuddles, enjoys playing fetch and loves her squeaky toys! Ideally, we are looking for someone who loves being outdoors/enjoys an active lifestyle! If thats you, Java would be a great match for you! We would also prefer someone who doesn't have cats.
