Croissant arrived at the QACC following a good Samaritan finding him as a stray and bringing him to the care center. Croissant in care has been intensely shutdown/fearful. He has escalated to lunging, snapping, and growling at handlers trying to interact with him. Croissant has been slowly warming up to select staff members.A volunteer writes: Croissant is the cutest name for the cutest pup. Only 11 months old, Croissant is already tall and gorgeous. When we met him a few weeks ago he was thin at 45lbs but looks to be filling out a bit. His ears are like blankets, oversized on his head. In spite of his size he is still a puppy and his awkward body and mannerisms make that clear. The way he chews makes me laugh so I feed him extra biscuits to see his jowls puff out while they work overtime.Croissant was found stray but the side of the road. His finder briefly brought him home and said he was wonderful with the family. At the shelter Croissant was understandably scared when he arrived, and our behavior team has spent extra time with him to help him acclimate. His notes are filled with compliments about his wiggly and loose body when they go to get him, how well he finds all the treats in his enrichment games, and how he leans in for attention. Early on in his stay Croissant met a novel dog and was pretty nervous, tucking his tale and moving away. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 45 Age: 0yrs 11mths 3wks
