Story
You can call me Sue... a boy named Sue! I'm a two year old male mastiff mix. I started out really nervous here at the shelter, but as I've gotten more comfortable, the staff here say I'm a big ol' goofball. I like to offer my paws for treats, and I will do funny play bows to get your attention. I also LOVE toys! If you want to play, I'm your guy! I'm very big and strong, and still need some help with my leash manners. I think training classes would be a great way for us to bond and to help build my confidence. I've had some ear infections in the past that have left my ears a little sensitive, so please keep that in mind when petting my big squishy face. Please speak with an adoption counselor today if you'd like to know more about me! Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Black Weight: 93.375 Age: 2yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Hwasung's story began in the midst of adversity, born to a courageous Dosa mom who was rescued from the clutches of the dog meat trade just in time. This brave mother defied the odds, giving birth to four precious puppies shortly after her rescue. Hwasung, a symbol of second chances, is one of these resilient pups. Spring brought a new chapter for Hwasung as he embarked on a fresh start at our partner's boarding house. Since then, he has revealed his vibrant personality and zest for life. His interactions with fellow dogs are marked by playfulness and friendliness, making him a favorite among his furry companions. This bright pup's journey isn't just about camaraderie; Hwasung recently completed leash training at a dog school, showcasing his eagerness to learn and adapt. His intellectual curiosity pairs harmoniously with his natural charm, making him an ideal companion for those seeking both a playful and trainable furry friend. But Hwasung's true magic shines when he's with people. Fearless in the face of strangers, he greets newcomers with a wagging tail and sparkling eyes, eager for the affection and head strokes he adores. His genuine warmth is a testament to his resilient spirit and his unwavering belief in the goodness of humans. Hwasung's ideal home is one where he can flourish, a place where companionship is a priority. If you work from home or are enjoying retirement, Hwasung would thrive in your company. He longs for a playmate who'll cherish his energy and exuberance, spending quality time together. Your home could be the haven he's been waiting for, where he can leave behind his past hardships and embrace a future filled with love and joy. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bruhno Bruhno is still a work in progress.  Bruhno is a very shy English Mastiff.  He is learning to walk on a leash and ride in cars. Bruhno is good with other dogs and was raised with children.  It will be a while before we feel he is ready for adoption. His future "furever" family will need to be prepared for the long haul. Bruhno is terrified of new situations.  His main and immediate response is to immediately empty his bladder  Any adopters will have to be prepared for this.  He is house trained; this is a fear response. If you are interested in Bruhno or any of our fosters, please go to our website at www.mastiffrescueoregon.org, click on adoption info, and submit an application online. An application is required for any meet and greet. All of our fosters are in private homes.  Please be courteous, and do not call prior to 8:00am or after 8:00pm  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 26, 2023, 12:09 am
