Meet Australia! 🐾 1 year • 11 lbs • Long-haired Mini Dachshund Mix Australia is a tiny ball of fluff with a big heart and an even bigger love for her people. She’s a total Velcro pup who wants to be wherever you are—lap included! When left alone she’ll cry and howl for a bit, but she eventually settles. She’s active, playful, and full of puppy energy. Australia loves playing tag with younger dogs and would do great with another fun, active dog. She respects senior pups—unless they try to steal her human’s lap, which brings out her adorable little jealous streak. She has a healthy appetite, is mostly house-trained, does great with nail trims, and isn’t a fan of the crate when left alone. Australia will thrive with someone who can offer attention, structure, and plenty of love. If you want a snuggly shadow dog with a playful side, she’s your girl!

Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Meet Bella! This cutie with impressive ears is looking for a calm and predictable environment and an adopter who can help her build trust and confidence. Bella is currently in a foster home with 3 small senior dogs and gets along well with all her friends. Once she feels comfortable with her new person and surroundings, Bella is very playful and cuddly. She`s potty pad trained, does fine staying at home during the work day, and is fairly quiet for a small dog. She’s a sweet girl who will reward your patience with loyalty and affection. The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more. Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information. ** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate you`re understanding and patience. ** HOW TO ADOPT: Check the animal`s location. From the Dog Kennels/Dog Isolation/Dog Quarantine (in shelter): To meet this dog, please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 - 5 pm on one of our open days, no appointment needed. We are open on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We are closed for adoptions on Monday and all holidays. Meet Paige… a spunky 5 year old who is looking for a family to love and snuggle with. Paige was surrendered to us by a woman after she had been abandoned at her house for a year by a sibling. She has been an outside dog and is learning to be housed trained. She has been introduced to numerous dogs at her foster family and has had no trouble adjusting. Her favorite activity is sleeping… either in your lap, or on the back of the couch. When it’s time to go outside… she spins in circles with excitement then quickly runs outside to explore and sniff everything. She has excellent recall and comes back quickly when called if not on a leash. She is happiest when her person is near. She will make an excellent companion to anyone looking for unconditional love.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas.
