ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Meet Frieda!  Frieda is a 1-year-old, 25-lb bundle of love, fluff, and joyful puppy energy. Believed to be a Miniature Pinscher/Terrier mix.  Frieda has the softest fur, velvety ears, and the kind of sweet eyes that melt you on contact. She’s a total sweetheart who adores cuddling just as much as she loves playtime. After a good burst of zoomies, she’s happiest curled up beside you or resting her head in your lap for a cozy nap. This girl is social and friendly, she does well with other dogs, kids, and even cats. She may chase the kitties in a playful “please be my friend!” kind of way, but her barking has already decreased as she’s settled in and learned the routine. Frieda is still very much a young pup, which means she’s full of enthusiasm and learning every day. She’s working on keeping all four paws on the floor when she gets excited and is making progress with gentle guidance. Because she can get a little jumpy and mouthy during play, she’d do best with kids who understand puppy manners and can help her continue learning. She’s potty trained, uses a dog door like a pro, and already knows commands like sit and come. She loves being outside, is learning to fetch, and absolutely lives for squeaky toys and puzzle toys — especially if treats are involved. Sniffing out hidden goodies is one of her special talents! On walks, Frieda is eager to explore and meet everyone she sees. She does pull on leash right now, but she’s a smart girl and would thrive with continued training. Like many young dogs, Frieda is also a champion chewer. She’ll need plenty of sturdy toys and supervision to help her make good choices (and keep shoes and sprinklers safe!). With structure, exercise, and consistency, she’ll continue blossoming into an amazing companion. Frieda would love an active home with a yard, lots of playtime, and a family excited to help her grow. In return, she’ll give you endless affection, entertainment, and the very best snuggles. If you’re looking for a playful best friend with a cuddly side, Frieda might just be your girl! She is microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. Her adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Meet our sweet & smart Dale!. Exciting adventures await with this adorable little super-heroe! Chip 'n Dale - he is a Dachshund & miniature Pinscher Expect to have with him a lifetime of love, cuddles, and doggy treats. He is 15 pounds; although he looks taller but he is very light - he will not be over 25 pound once full grown. He is very smart; lovable, lap pup, he loves to play tag of war and loves to fetch as well. Sometimes he looks like a Bambi, such a cute face he gives you:) He is being fostered with a pack of 15 dogs and 7 cats - therefore, he is a dog and cat friendly. His best friend who is like a brother to him is Leo. So if you are looking for 2 pups, 1 small and one medium these 2 will make a great addition to your family and will bring hours of enjoyment when you then together playing and loving each other. Dale sits on the head of Leo when he goes to sleep..lol.. However, no need to adopt them together, only if you are looking for 2 pups to adopt. He is very funny, and he will provide you with lots of hours of enjoyment as he has an amazing personality. He is crate trained; he sleeps all night in his crate with no accidents.:) As with all rescued fury kids; they are going to need training, love reinforcement; as you know they all come from a tough beginning on their lives and the art of adopting a rescued creature is to bring them to be the best they can be with love and patience. Their donation adoption fee includes being spayed/neutered, they have received their 3 core puppy vaccines, dewormed, and a free health checkup through a local participating vet clinic. Ready to give him a forever home? Please follow the instructions and start with completing an application at the following link: http://aaofus.org/adoption-application.html We are scheduling meet & greet adoption appointments and keeping a distance protocol. Story
Louis is a high-energy, happy puppy with a big personality. He gets along well with other dogs, sleeps in a crate at night, and is learning basic commands. House training is a work in progress &#194&#151 he knows how to use a doggie door but hasn't quite linked it to potty time yet. Louis loves quick snuggles before heading off on his next adventure and will thrive in an active home ready for puppy training and fun. The Royal puppies may be small but they are just the cutest princes and princesses. Mama Royal is a 25 lb girl and we believe this queen is a mix of Miniature Pinscher, Chihuahua and Terrier. We don't know who their dad was or what all they are mixed with but think they will stay smaller in size. Louis is looking for a family that understands the time, patience, and energy needed to raise a young pup. We require all puppy adopters to provide training that includes: house training, basic training, leash training, and socialization. Additionally, this cutie is going to need proper exercise, mental stimulation, and your attention and love to grow up to be the best companion. We do not allow our dogs or puppies to sleep or live outside; they must be incorporated into your family and be made a priority in your life. In return, you will have the most loving and loyal family member you could ask for. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting a Royal puppy then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing. Thank you for joining the Adoption Family with Labs and More Rescue. We are here to help you find a furry companion. You will find our quick and easy adoption application at www.labsandmore.org and click on Adopt. Please email us at I doginfo@labsandmore.org if you need assistance. Thank you for looking to a rescue group to fulfill your dream of adding a new dog to your life! Story
Hi I'm Bear I can be shy and a bit nervous when I first meet people because of my past but after you give me a little time and space to come greet you I get comfortable and I can be very talkative and cuddly. I've never been around children or cats and I'm weary of other dogs depending on size because I was attacked as a puppy. I love sleeping under the blanket if allowed. My current human unfortunately is in the military and getting deployed and she can't take me . She says I'm a sweet little soul and I deserve a loving home. I might not be the perfect confident pup but give me the opportunity to show you that I can be more confident with your love and structure. If you want to meet me please reach out to Celeste phone # 832-602-6900 celestee101@yahoo.comMay 8, 2025, 6:09 pm

Story
Meet Oliver, our 2-year-old heart-stealer. He’s the definition of smooth — calm eyes, soft soul, and that quiet confidence that says, “I’ve got this.” Oliver isn’t in a rush for anything. He’s the kind of dog who observes first, then decides whether to nap, cuddle, or charm you with his mellow grin. He’s independent, gentle, and the ultimate adventure companion — big enough to join you anywhere, small enough to fit right into your arms. We rescued his mom and litter during a heavy storm, all soaked and shivering — and from that moment, Oliver has been our reminder that peace can come after chaos. He’s crate and potty trained, loves every dog he meets, and carries this quiet, lovable energy that makes you instantly melt. But don’t let his calm fool you — Oliver also loves to play, explore, and have fun wherever he goes. He’s the perfect mix of chill and cheerful, and a true romantic at heart — sensitive, loyal, and endlessly cuddly. Oliver is ready to live his Dulce Vida — the sweet life he’s always deserved. PS. Yes, I was eating peanut butter when they took my pictures — they should’ve cleaned my lips first, right? - Oliver. Story
Deva is around 1 yrs old and 26 lbs. Deva is a delicate soul with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right family to help her feel safe and secure. She is very shy and skittish, especially around new environments or loud, unpredictable sounds. But beneath that hesitation is a deeply affectionate pup who simply wants to be loved. Deva thrives in the company of other dogs and blossoms when she’s around calm, friendly canine companions. Because she’s a little nervous around toddlers, a quiet home with adults and other dogs would be her ideal match. A home with a large backyard is recommended as she is afraid of walking on leash. While she may take time to warm up, Deva deserves a chance to be part of a patient, understanding family who will see the gentle beauty behind her timid exterior. With love and time, she’ll reward you with loyalty, affection, and the quiet joy of watching her confidence grow.
