Story
❗Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Meet Leeju👋 She was found on the street in South Korea at just 2 months old and sent to a high-risk city shelter along with her four siblings. Luckily, she was rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and sent to her foster home 2 months later. Her foster family has been taking good care of her since, and she’s been living peacefully with the resident dog. LeeJu is now more than ready for a furever home! • Personality: Friendly, Curious, Cautious LeeJu is such a friendly and lovable pup with a curious and cautious personality. Her energy level is mid-low as she mostly chills in a kennel at home and prefers to have light walkies mainly for the bathroom. • Affinity with - Dogs: Super friendly with other dogs as long as they are not too large or aggressive. She doesn’t respond to barking dogs as well. She currently lives with a resident dog in her foster home, so she will be a good fit for a family with other furry companions. - Cats: Good with cats. - Adults/Kids: Good with both adults & kids. She is calm even when kids pet her. • Walking Manners: Well-mannered! • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, mainly using the bathroom outdoors but sometimes indoors when she can’t go outside. • Bathing/Brushing: Very good. • Car Rides: Not anymore. She got better at car rides. Her foster tries to walk her for potty before jumping into the car. • Separation Anxiety: None. • Barks/Howls: A little bit towards continued noise from outside the house. • Appetite/Food Allergies: She likes any sort of food! / No food allergies. • Likes/Dislikes: She loves being petted on her face while snuggling up to your side! / She feels cold easily due to her short coat. • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 If you have an open heart and a loving home for Leeju, please don't hesitate to apply!

Story
Olive is spunky girl with tons of energy and plenty of love to give. She has never met a person or animal that she didn't like. I have had Olive for the past 8 years and through those years, we had had so many wonderful adventures. Olive loves burrowing in her blanket, or any blanket for that matter. She likes car rides, basking in the sun, and thoroughly enjoys being outside. She is usually a quiet girl, however, within the past few years (since COVID and me permanently working from home), she has become extra alert and will bark if she hears something. This is not a bad thing, but can be kinda annoying if you aren't used to it. Olive maintains an average wight of 4lbs. She is spayed. Olive does not walk the best on leash. If you are walking her without a leash, she will usually stay by your side. She is very eager to please. This is an extremely hard decision for me, as you can imagine the attachment I have to her at this point.

Story
A LOVING CONSTANT COMPANION:  Approx. 10 years / Approx. 18 lbs.     Hi, my name’s Rusty!  I lost my life-long home when my previous owner experienced medical issues and needed to go to assisted living.  I was sad about that, but fortunately, Mostly Mutts has been able to take me in and I’m in a great foster home while I wait to find my new family that is looking for a constant sweet companion.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I like the dogs I have met in my previous home, and I like the older chihuahua in my foster home – sharing our people and walking nicely with her on our daily walks (even slowing down to wait on her as she’s a bit slower than me!), so if you have a nice doggie at home, let’s meet! / I lived with five cats in my previous home, so if you have a dog-friendly kitty, let’s meet! / I liked children I met in my previous home, but I don’t remember their ages. Since I have been known to nip if startled or accidentally hurt, it’s best the children in my new home be older kids (age 15+), and - of course, let’s meet!     • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a sweet boy who - though initially nervous in new environments, I’ve been going to lots of places with my foster family and I’m doing well – in fact they take me everywhere with them. I often find a lap to jump in where I’m super happy as I’m a true lap dog!  I’ll even settle in and lean back, as if asking you to hold me like a baby – so loving!  I’m used to having my person with me all the time, so a stay-at-home family member is a must for me.  A true ‘velco dog’, I just want to be involved in whatever you are doing! You want to watch TV? Great, I’ll sit with you on the couch. You need to work at a desk? I’ll be in the dog bed on the floor in your office.  You cooking? I’ll help! You get the idea? I’m a great constant companion.  I have been a bit protective of my home, barking at strangers and sometimes nipping at the back of their leg when they turn away.  My foster is working on this with me now and I don’t do it in public, just in my home.  I get very anxious when left alone, and will bark and howl in protest, though I’m not destructive, but I should not live in an apartment or town home type home.  / My energy level is 4 - 6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  My foster and previous owner agree that I am a smart boy, so my foster enrolled me in Mostly Mutts’ Adult Basic Training classes where I recently received my certificate of completion for Mostly Mutts basic obedience.  This means, I have mastered the ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’, ‘down’, and ‘stay’ commands and how to ‘wait’ before entering and exiting doors. I also have good leash-walking manners, only pulling momentarily in new areas if something makes me nervous. / I like to sleep in my crate, it is like a safe space for me. I sleep through the night in there with the door open near my foster’s bed with no issues.  In my former home, I slept with my owner, so – if allowed – I’d like to snuggle in with you at night, too. / My potty manners are great in my foster home, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too!  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  A real people dog, I enjoy going for walks with my family, as well as hanging out with them in a fenced yard.  I also love napping on or next to them and being with people all the time. I enjoy playing with squeaky toys and balls with my person.  Collecting all the cuddles is my favorite pastime! /  I also am not a fan of that confusing, pesky iRobot vacuum cleaner, so I bark at it – though I’m getting more used to it with time.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love and attention. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I have a couple old man lumps and bumps that don’t bother me, and I hope you won’t mind either.  I had a slightly elevated liver level, so I’m on a supplement to help keep it stable.  Mostly Mutts tested my liver levels in June, and they are stable with the supplement, so I should just stay on this supplement for life.  I am also taking an inexpensive anxiety medication (fluoxetine), which has greatly improved some intermittent eye tremors and some separation anxiety I was experiencing.  I used to bark and howl in protest whenever my person left, but I no longer do this.  I will likely need to take this medication forever as it helps me so much.    I’m looking for a home where I will be a much-loved family member where I can be with my family a lot. My adoption fee is $100.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  October 3, 2024, 12:41 pm

Story
Quinnie (aka Bella) is a Miniature Pinscher looking for her forever family! She is 6yr old, weighs just 6lbs, and has a beautiful black and tan coat. This sweet girl is a gentle and calm lap dog! She enjoys being around her people and has a laid-back personality. She previously lived with other dogs. Bella is house trained, crate trained and is working on learning her basic commands. She has a medium energy level and enjoys going for walks, although she could use a brush up on her leash manners. This easy-going girl loves car rides and would be a great companion to take on outings. Bella is a happy and sweet girl who would make a great addition to a household that is looking for middle aged dog that&#39s ready to settle into their routine! A family who is home often and can provide her companionship would be ideal. Bella is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet girl, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.October 4, 2024, 9:39 am

MPMR requires all applicants to have their dogs current on vaccines, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention unless there is verifiable medical reason why this cannot be done. Chiquita 4 year old chocolate Min Pin (DOB 9/30/2020) 11 lbs. Fully vetted "Hello world! My given name is Chiquita, but my foster mom calls me Kanga and Bouncy Pouncy. I'm an energetic girl with places to go and things to see at all times. I'll gladly bounce along behind you on my back legs for a better view. If you sit, I'm going to be on your lap once I decide to trust you. Then I'll never let you far out of my sight. It takes me a few times of meeting people before I'm comfortable with them, so if you want me, please allow a few meetings so I can get used to you. Or just plan to hang out for a while! And bring treats! Lots of treats! I think I would like older kids, but I'm too playful and nippy for the tiny humans. I might knock them down. I love to curl up on the big human bed, but I am also good in a crate if you send me to it with a treat. Did I mention I like treats? I do well going outside in my foster home. I also love other dogs. The old lady dogs here don't appreciate my attempts to play, so a more active doggie friend and a fenced yard would be amazing! I think kitties are fun to chase, so maybe not a good idea. Do I sound like the kind of pup for you? Please complete the adoption application!" http://tinyurl.com/mpmrapp

Story
Evie 9 years old (DOB 5/11/2015); 12.2 lbs. Spayed, UTD on vaccines, HW negative and on prevention MPMR requires all dogs in the home to be on heartworm prevention, spayed or neutered, and current on vaccines unless there is a verifiable reason by a vet. Miss Evie is an outgoing bundle of energy. She acts more like a puppy than a 9 year old. She doesn't meet a person she doesn't like. Evie will gladly do anything for snacks, loves car rides and walks. She does need some work on a leash though as excitement often gets the better of her, so a fenced yard is preferred. In her foster home, Evie quickly learned where the door was that leads outside, and she has done extremely well letting us know when she needs to go out to do her business. At some point in her past, she had a home as she knows a few commands including "sit," "get down," and "dance." We are still working on "come." She will do best as someone's one and only as she thrives on people attention and does not care much for other dogs. As she is quite a barker. No apartments or condos. If interested in Evie, complete our adoption application at the following link. http://tinyurl.com/mpmrapp Questions? Email mpmrgeorgia@gmail.com
