Meet Maxima Name: MaximaAge: 3 years, 3 monthsGender: FemaleWeight: 10 kilos / 22 lbsBreed: Miniature Pinscher MixColor: Black & BrownCoat: Short Health Spayed Vaccinated Heartworm Negative Compatibility Good with dogs: Yes Good with kids: Yes, ages 10+ Good with cats: No Leash trained: Yes Potty trained: Yes — she keeps her foster area clean and adjusts quickly to household routines Crate trained: Yes Maxima currently shares space with other dogs in her foster home and sleeps comfortably in her own dog bed in a designated area. Personality Maxima is pure joy wrapped in a sleek little body. She is intelligent, playful, and full of life. Despite everything she’s endured, she greets each day with a wagging tail and bright, hopeful eyes. She completed professional training and was one of the top students in her class — meaning she already has excellent manners and loves learning. She enjoys her daily walks, does wonderfully with other dogs, and truly thrives on human companionship. In her foster home, she spends time with a young human friend and shows just how gentle, patient, and affectionate she can be. Maxima bonds deeply with her people and is happiest when she feels included in everyday life. She would be a wonderful fit for an active family or individual who enjoys walks, playtime, and building a strong connection with their dog. Maxima’s Ideal Home At about 18 inches tall, Maxima is compact and adaptable — a great fit for apartments, condos, or homes with limited space, as long as she receives regular exercise and engagement. She would love: A family that includes her in daily activities An adopter who appreciates her training and continues reinforcing it A home with respectful children (10+) A dog sibling — or she would also thrive as the center of attention Most importantly, Maxima needs a stable, committed forever home where she will be cherished as a true family member. Maxima’s Rescue Story Maxima’s life changed overnight when her owner passed away. Instead of being given time to adjust or grieve, she was taken to a dog pound by relatives who intended to euthanize her. Thankfully, her rescuer happened to be there that same day and offered to take her instead. And just like that, her life was saved. When she first arrived in rescue, Maxima was deeply fearful. She barked at dogs and people alike, overwhelmed and unsure of the world around her. After losing her person, it’s believed she experienced mistreatment that left emotional scars. Her rehabilitation took time, patience, and the guidance of a professional trainer in Colima, Mexico. Slowly, she learned to trust again. Step by step, she discovered that she was safe. Today, Maxima is confident, loving, and ready to belong to a family again. Her journey shows incredible resilience — she simply needed someone to believe in her. Ready to Welcome Maxima? Maxima is currently waiting in Mexico for a committed trial home so she can travel to the Pacific Northwest. If you are interested in adopting, please apply at:www.northwestwagrescue.org Her adoption fee is $600. Maxima has overcome so much. Now she’s just waiting for the family who will never let her go again. ##2666357##

shaynesrescue.com pls go to our website to apply to adopt. This precious little dog was saved in the nick of time! She is sweet , We typically do not recommend small dogs at 9 pounds for young children. We have done a dental, she is hw negative. She is spayed all shots current, microchipped, etc! See her photos with the cat! Sorry we dont have better photos of her. She is a cutie! GREAT with cats not just dogs and people! Yes this is not a young dog, but our costs are the same to get each dog here and medical is typically more extensive for older dogs. It is $300 for each dog (or more) for transport, $75 for health certificates and all medical above that. Hence, her adoption fee will be suggested at $495. If you can donate more ALL funds go directly back to the rescuers in southern states where all our dogs are from as they are super high kill:( Hence, we save dogs as they are doomed where they originate from:( She is available to pre adopt, if she does not pre adopt, she arrives April 8 to foster in Western WA Photos will be posted as soon as we are able. To apply please go to shaynesrescue.com Thank you for knowing to adopt and not shop.

CHUCHO's Story Est. DOB 05/03/2015 Weight 35lbs Adoption Fee: $259 Chucho is an energetic older gentleman with lots of love to give to his humans. Though older, he still has plenty of pep in his step and enjoys daily walks, exploring the yard, and keeping an eye on the local wildlife (squirrels and birds beware!). He gets along well with dogs of all sizes and is both crate trained and housebroken. Chucho is loyal and protective, so he does best in an adult-only home and should be kenneled when visitors come by to help him feel secure. His ideal home includes a big backyard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy some squirrel patrol. If you're looking for a devoted companion with a playful spirit and mature charm, Chucho may be your perfect match! PEE WEE's Story Est. DOB: 03/12/2022 Weight: 9lbs Adoption fee: $250 (per dog) Two Peas, One Paw-fect Pod Ty (20lbs) and Pee Wee (8lbs) lost their home when their guardian moved out of the country, but through it all, they’ve leaned on each other for comfort and strength. Their bond is truly special, and they’re looking for a home where they can stay together. They may be a little guarded at first and might bark when meeting new people, but give them a moment and you’ll discover how friendly, affectionate, and playful they really are. Once they warm up, their sweet personalities shine—they love nothing more than curling up together on your lap, going for walks, and soaking up the sunshine side by side. Story
Adopt Pika   • Age: 1 year • Sex: Neutered Male • Breed: Miniature Pinscher Mix • Color: Brown • Weight: 3.3 kg • Height (shoulder): 24 cm   Rescue Story Pika was rescued from an animal hoarding situation where dozens of dogs were found living together. He was brought to a municipal shelter before being rescued and given the chance to start a new life.   Despite his difficult start, Pika has a gentle and affectionate personality and is learning to trust people more each day.   Personality with People Pika can be a little shy when meeting new people at first. However, with a few treats and a little patience, he warms up quickly and can usually relax within a day.   Once he feels comfortable, he becomes very affectionate. He loves attention, will run over when called, and enjoys cuddling. He can be picked up comfortably and will even roll over to show his belly when he trusts you.   With Other Dogs Pika is friendly and social with other dogs. He often approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play.   He can feel slightly unsure around very large dogs, but he doesn’t panic — instead he cleverly avoids them and continues playing. He tends to prefer dogs closer to his own size.   He currently stays with another rescued dog, Hazel, and they play together often and even sleep curled up next to each other.   With Cats Pika has not lived with cats before, but a cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level Low to medium energy. He enjoys outdoor activity but is also calm and relaxed indoors once he has had some exercise.   Walking Pika has not had much experience with walks yet. However, because he follows people well and enjoys human companionship, we believe he will learn quickly once he bonds with his adopter.   Additional Notes Pika does not guard food from people or other dogs.   He is currently using pee pads indoors. Since he was rescued from a hoarding environment, it is possible he may experience some separation anxiety if left completely alone at first. With time, patience, and routine, he should continue gaining confidence.   He is calm in a crate, although he may bark if another dog approaches while he is inside. Interestingly, once the crate door opens and he meets the dog face-to-face, he becomes relaxed and friendly.   Pika is a small dog with a big heart who is ready to leave his past behind and start a loving new chapter with his forever family.
