Meet Alfie! He’s a sweet, affectionate poodle mix who’s come a long way in a short time—and he’s ready to find a home that’ll keep helping him blossom into the confident pup he’s meant to be.
Daily Routine & Potty Habits
Typically, he’ll do his business in the morning—sometimes right after he wakes up in the yard, other times during his first walk of the day. He’s a bit picky about where he does his #2 (prefers grass on walks), but will pop a squat on the concrete if he feels like it. His pee schedule is a little more flexible—definitely first thing in the morning, around 3 PM on an afternoon walk, and usually once more before bedtime (though sometimes he skips that late-night pit stop).
Eating & Sleeping
He gets a cup of food around 9:30 AM and grazes on it throughout the day. If he finishes, he gets an extra half-cup around 4 PM to keep his belly happy. By about 11:50 PM, it’s lights-out for this guy—he’s tucked away in his smaller crate (blanket on top to keep things cozy and dark), and he’s out for the night. During the day, you might find him napping on the couch next to you or curling up on a comfy dog bed.
Crate Time & Home Alone
Alfie is used to spending time in a crate—he’s got a smaller one for nighttime and a larger one for when you have to step out. He’s done just fine with some chew toys to keep him busy. he appreciates having that safe, cozy spot to chill.
Walks & Leash Manners
Get ready to hit the pavement because Alfie enjoys walks. He still pulls a bit (his curiosity sometimes gets the better of him), and he can be startled by loud noises. He’ll watch other dogs but mostly just minds his own business—he’s more of an observer than a greeter at this point.

Alfie’s got the basics in progress: he seems to know his name, is catching on to “sit,” and has a decent sense of “stay.” No fancy tricks like “paw” or “down” yet, but he’s smart, and with a little positive reinforcement—and maybe some tasty treats—he’ll keep improving.
Personality & Favorite Things
He doesn’t seem to have a favorite toy at the moment, but he’ll gnaw on a stuffed toy every now and then. Alfie is more on the cautious side, which makes sense given his rough start.
