Buddy Fibonacci entered the San Diego Humane Society as a stray. A microchip was found, but despite efforts, they were unable to reach the registered owner. We welcomed 12-year-old Buddy as a Frosted Face on December 22nd. This 17 lb. cutie recently returned from spending a week in a Foster home, and we learned a lot about him! Here's the scoop: Buddy is a very sweet, gentle boy who loves being close to his people. He walks nicely on leash, enjoys playing with toys and fetch, and takes treats politely. Buddy is content to relax when his people do and would happily binge watch your favorite series with you! He would also be a great work-from-home pal. He loves being petted, curling up close, and laying in laps. Buddy is a lover! Buddy absolutely loves car rides—on walks, he would pause to watch cars go by, clearly hoping one was for him. When it was time to leave, he sprang up, ready to be helped into the car. His foster mom took him to the beach and a coffee shop, where Buddy wanted to meet all the people. He showed interest in other dogs but remained people-focused and affectionate. Overall, Buddy is a loving, people-oriented dog with a calm, gentle nature combined with a playful side. Pinot Noir entered Corona Shelter as a stray, and sadly, no one came to claim her. On September 5th, we scooped up Pinot Noir to become a Frosted Face. She is around 8 years old, weighs 10 lbs., and is as sweet as can be! Pinot Noir went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and we learned a lot about her in a home setting. Her Fling Mom reported: "In our time with Pinot Noir, we learned the following: * She really is a loving little girl with loyalty to her peeps and a super chipper attitude. * She must have had a home because she runs to her doggy bed instinctively as if to say, "This is where you want me to sit, right?" * She loves to roll in the grass. * She is a good eater. About 1 can per day. * She is super excited to see her family members when they come home. * She wants to play like a puppy, but doesn't need to snuggle up all of the time. * She is perfectly fine in a bed when I am working from home. * She was an angel when I gave her a bath. * When we go out we leave her in a playpen. * She is a smart cookie, as you can see in the video of her making easy work of a food puzzle! Pinot Noir is going to make some family very happy!" Pinot Noir currently lives in a Foster home while she waits for her forever family. Her foster mom has only wonderful things to report! "Pinot Noir loves to be scratched. She sleeps through the night in her own bed. Before breakfast, she takes a walk around the neighborhood and likes everyone we meet along the way. Sometimes, she comes with me when I play pickleball. She sits like an angel in her stroller and loves the attention she gets.
