Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Annie is ready for adoption! She is a 3-year-old Mini Goldendoodle who weighs 18 pounds. Recently released from a breeder, Annie is learning what it means to be a dog in a loving home. Annie is a sweet little girl who just wants a couch to snuggle on and watch from afar. She is very timid and will take time to adjust to her new home. Once she knows she is safe, she will ask for your affection, but it will take time. She will sit on the couch with you, but not right next to you, at first. She will sleep in your bed, but jump off when you move. She has love to give, but it will be on her own time. Eventually, she will give kisses and even paw at you for some scratches. Annie will come into her own and having another confident dog in the home will help her learn; she loves playing with other dogs, especially outside. She does not walk on a leash, so she will need a fully fenced area to go outside (no invisible fences). Especially at first, she will be considered a flight risk. Annie requires a quiet home, as she is scared of quick movements and loud noises, so a home with no young children will suit her best. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body, she would just be very scared. Annie uses a crate when her foster family isn’t home, because she is still exploring and can get into things she shouldn’t, like toilet paper rolls! Otherwise, she has the run of the house. She is not completely housebroken, but will go out with the other dogs in the house, just not on her own. House training was going better before the snow came! She will use a pee pad overnight, though. Annie is spayed, up to date with core vaccines, microchipped, and tested neg. for heartworm.  She has also been professionally groomed!  Her adoption fee is $475Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 4, 2026, 12:36 pm

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.BENJI is perhaps the shiniest, curliest and most handsome black miniature poodle in rescue.  He is 5.5 yr old and weighs 15#. He is happy to show off his athletic skills or surprise you with his apparent high IQ. When BENJI was surrendered he was very insecure and anxious. He has since made some 4-legged friends and quickly attached himself to his foster Mom and is settling into his new temporary home while he awaits that perfect family. That family needs to expect another adjustment period. BENJI will need a home with a fenced yard and is NOT APPROPRIATE for an apartment or condominium, as he can be noisy when first left alone. He is a very loving and quiet dog when he is with you. He is looking for a home without a lot of time alone and if there is a 4-legged friend that is good but not totally necessary. BENJI is now comfortable going to a kennel to eat and a kennel to sleep near his foster mom.  He has done well with housebreaking. He gets very excited when his halter and leash come out and eagerly jumps in the car. BENJI is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, Heartworm negative and has had a vet evaluation. His adoption fee is $400 and if you are wondering if this faithful young adult is for you, please put in an application found on the website below. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Welcome SAMSON to our home.  This mellow guy is an owner surrender who came from a retired couple that are experiencing medical problems and unable to care for him any longer.  Although he is getting along with the foster dogs in my home he is accustomed to be the only dog in the home.  I think another mild mannered dog would be a good pet-mate for him or a home where he is the only dog. SAMSON is 4 years old and weighs a plump 31 pounds, he needs to lose about 5 pounds!  His former home gave him lots of human food and he is use to being spoiled with it.  SAMSON is mostly poodle with some Maltese in him which makes his hair straight in some places but mostly he is curly. The hair on his face is straight and a curly body.  He also has a cute speckled nose. He is happy and bounces around on his walks, he loves to go for walks and is very familiar with the car, he jumps right in and watches all of his surroundings. If you would like to adopt SAMSON please submit an application on the website below or you can call me.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Max was born around October 12, 2020, and weighs about 22 pounds.   Max and five other dogs were surrendered to us when their human needed surgery and was no longer able to care for them. We are told that Max is a 'Mini Goldendoodle.' Max is the life of the party and adores humans, young and old.  Max rode well in the car on the two-hour trip to the rescue. Max 'smiles' when excited!  Max has been to PetSmart events with us and does beautifully loving on strangers and seeking out attention from anyone that walks his way.  This is all we know so far, and we will be learning as we go, and so will you!  The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. Story
I'm adorable!Bandit was born around September 10, 2014 and weighs about 13 pounds.  Bandit has a very social, sweet, personality and gets along with all the other dogs beautifully.  We don't have any knowledge of his behavior with kids, but can't imagine a problem with respectful children.  Bandit does enjoy car rides and is fine on leash.  With most of these tiny dogs it is usually just easier to have potty pads handy to aid in house training.  He does have some dry eye and will need  lubricating eye drops.  Update:  Sadly, he was returned to us after a couple years of having a home because he was having a persistent ear infection and finally a vet sent the owner to a vet specialist who advised removing his entire inner ear and the owner could not afford this.  OK.....well, seems a bit drastic so upon return we began daily hair removal (seriously, neither vet or groomer removed the fur stuck deep inside his ears???), cleaning and treating with a drying agent.  It's been about a month and it looks so much better and he's no longer crying out if someone bumps into his ear.  We are going to keep working at this and if there is someone out there willing to give this little cutie another try at a normal life and you are willing to continue care for his ear we'd love to hear from you! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $200.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability.
