Story
This is fancy Clancy, a shy little poodle who was rescued from a puppy mill. Clancy is around 5 years old and weighs 11 lbs. Clancy is sweet, gentle, and very quiet, but we expect this is because he is still shut down and hasn’t learned how to express his little personality (we see this a lot with mill dogs). Clancy likes to be around other dogs and would do well in a home with another confident dog who could show him the ropes. Clancy will need a family who is patient and will give him time to come out of his shell. During his initial months in a new home, as he builds trust, he will be a flight risk, so all family members must be very careful with doors/gates and he cannot be left unattended outdoors. Clancy can be kitty-tested and would be fine with responsible kids who make sure to keep him safe in the house. This little angel is ready to learn all the joys of living in a loving home. Might you be the right home for Clancy to blossom? Apply for Clancy at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rusty was surrendered to the shelter by the only family he has ever known. They said they were losing their home. He did not take it very well and was struggling at the shelter. We were asked if we could help him out. We have learned quite a lot about him during his time with us. Initially we thought Rusty would have to be an only dog but he has settled in and we think another dog or two would be ok. Rusty loves his toys and his favorite thing to do is play fetch. Rusty will need a quieter environment and we think he would be best in an adult home. He will definitely need someone will patience to help him to settle in.  Rusty is 6 years old and only 9.6 pounds - he is tiny and looking for a second chance at love  * Please note you must live within 90 minutes of Chester, NJ to be considered    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2024, 4:11 pm

Story
Meet Bunny. She is a miniature poodle that came to us from a commercial breeder. She is about 7 years old and weighs about 17 lbs. Bunny is on the more scared side, like a typical puppy mill dog. She is making some progress in her foster home. Bunny will do best in a home with another friendly small dog and a fenced in yard.  Bunny will need work on housebreaking. She has now been spayed and had a dental cleaning. Bunny is up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee us $300.00. If you are interested in adopting Bunny,  please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.  ##1938024##

Story
Watch out! Woody is in the house and it’s a party (poodle that is)! This fabulous little guy is a white/blue merle miniature party poodle rescued on 1/13/24. He was initially a little timid, but that is all behind him now. He is a very smart and active little firecracker. He would be a great candidate for agility training. He quickly learned how to walk on a leash and loves all the attention you can give him. Woody’s date of birth is 5/9/22. He weighed 15.6 pounds on 1/15/24. He had been shaved prior to our getting him which is why his hair is so short in his pictures. Woody is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms. He is being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. He was neutered and had a dental on 2/9/24. His adoption donation is $700 which includes the $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Woody, please complete the first step in the adoption process by filling out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer will contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
