Since we rescued Phillip in 2017 when he was barely a puppy, he had been nothing but loving, energetic, and loves to snuggle. The pep in his step has since slowed down in his later years, but still loves a good session of the zoomies in the backyard. He has been the best friend, guard dog, and snuggle buddy we could have asked for in the season of our lives. As we have recently welcomed our second child into our home, it breaks our heart that the change has been too overwhelming for him and we are looking for someone who can give him the same care, love, and attention we’ve given him for these past 9 years.

Hi There!! Lucy Here, born in rescue in 2014 with 7 other siblings to our Mama Mercedes. I am a sweet girl, very quiet and loving, gentle, obedient and good on leash and love long walks and can walk 3 miles! I love car rides and outdoor dining with you as we are well behaved!. I was available for adoption with my brother Chuck, we looked alike in our faces but not our body, Rescue thinks that Mom was a Puggle and Dad a Schnauzer. All us puppies and Mama were adopted in 2014, we had a family of our own to share, a Mom, Dad our own little girl and a fur sister...We were happy....Then, Our family returned my brother and I to the rescue June 2019, 5yrs later! Why? Because our Dad adopted a pitbull after they adopted us, and they already had a King Charles Cavalier... Why did he do that? who knows ... and that dog was picking on my brother Chuck, and human Mom was too stressed out to handle a new baby and the attacks... So we came back to our Rescuer in search of a loving, quiet home to retire in and take our walks.... we were in foster care a long time till our foster parents decided to travel, and then we became semi permanent residents of our rescuer… my sweet brother Chuck recently crossed over rainbow bridge and I am alone now… I would love nothing more than to be with an active Elder person or couple that takes walks and enjoys my company…. I’m a diamond in the rough I may not be beautiful outside but I’m beautiful inside I’m loyal, dedicated, and obedient… Will you let me spend my final chapters with you? She picks up on new training quickly, so we think she would make a great dog for a family with a good understanding and training knowledge of dogs. She's a bit of a sneaky prankster right now, so she can get into trouble, but she's affectionate, gentle, and full of energy. • Affinity with: -Cats: She currently lives with cats in a temporary foster home. She is not aggressive with cats but is very interested in them, so if you have a cat that likes dogs, she would be fine. -Dogs: She is currently living with the dogs in her foster home without any issues. They play well with each other, are socialized, and warm up quickly to new dogs they meet. -Adults/Kids: She is very fond of people and loves to be petted. She warms up quickly to people she meets for the first time. • Shedding: Moderate. There is shedding in certain periods. Her fur is best brushed daily with a silicone brush. • Walking Manner: She loves to go for walks, both familiar and new, and prefers to take fast, wide, territorial walks (rather than slow, sniffing the trails). He also loves to run in the park, but will sometimes try to run outside if there is no fence. She is fast and has a lot of energy, so she loves to run around in large parks and meet people and dogs. She also loves to go for walks in the mountains, but she has a hunting instinct and is interested in small snakes, rodents, and birds. • Housetrained: She goes potty on pee pads and highly prefers to go outside. She can chew on wood or plastic furniture and grab small items fallen on the floor and play with them. She's very playful and will run around with you if you have a like-minded friend in the house. • Separation Anxiety: She's always been around other dogs, so we can't confirm, but we think she'll be fine on her own. • Bark or Howl: She barks briefly when she hears strangers outside. There is no howl • Carsickness: She had drooling at first, but now she rides well.
