Story
Introducing COH Harold, a lively 5 year old male Schnauzer and Terrier Mix. I absolutely love playing fetch with tennis balls - it's my favorite thing! Carrying my ball around is a must, and I'm always up for some fun. I'm like a playful puppy and get along with other dogs. I know how to use the doggie door and haven't had any accidents indoors. I'm great on a leash and love to snuggle - I'll be your loyal companion. I was found as a stray in the city of Hawthorne, and now I'm looking for a home with a yard, someone around most of the time, and preferably other dogs. Get ready for lots of fetch and cuddle time with me! We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Please find our application at lovejoyfoundation.org when you come to an event please bring that filled out in hand with you. You can find our application at Lovejoyfoundation.org. The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc. does not adopt beyond a 30 mile radius from our headquarters in Inglewood. Sometimes exceptions are made in a particular situation for an adopter further out than 30 miles which is at the discretion of the director.

Story
Hi! My name is Darla, and I am IN SOUTH KOREA waiting to be matched to a home in Los Angeles! I was rescued from the dog meat trade in South Korea by the DoVE Project. My fate would have been to live in fear and distress, watching dogs being led to slaughter for human consumption. DoVE Project heard about me, and now I am looking for my forever family! ABOUT JINDOS Jindos are known for their fierce loyalty, high intelligence, rarely barking, and playful nature. They make great indoor family dogs, as Jindos are clean and easily housetrained, and are faithful to family members. They are also mid-level active and love being socialized at dog parks, going on hikes, and joining the family on trips. ID/NAME: CARE23-041 / Darla SEX/WEIGHT/AGE: Female / 16 lbs / 2 yrs BIRTH DATE: July 1, 2021 BREED: Miniature Schnauzer/Jindo Mix VACCINATIONS/SPAY/NEUTER/HEALTH: Vaccinations complete. Spayed. Healthy. BEHAVIOR: Darla is a well-behaved and calm dog. Despite her terrifying past, Darla still shows a lot of trust and love towards people. On her walks, she prefers to stay next to her caretakers. Darla gets along well with other dogs too. She is currently sharing a kennel with one other dog and there have been no issues. Darla has not been in a foster home yet, but she always keeps her kennel clean. SIBLINGS/FAMILY: Unknown BACKGROUND: Rescued from a slaughterhouse in Yangpyeong, Korea by Claudia, Tami, Miwon, and Lucy during a joint rescue mission with Care. ABOUT SHELTER STRESS Dogs who have lived in shelters for a long period of time develop behaviors due to an environment that is loud, chaotic, and stressful, even in best shelters in the US. Dogs in shelters have limited socialization exposure to people and urban environments. DoVE dogs also come from a traumatic background such as dog meat farms and slaughterhouses. While many of our dogs acclimate within a few months with consistency, structure, and patience, some of our more sensitive dogs can take longer to rehabilitate. It's important to note that these sensitive dogs are even more attuned to human emotions and behavior, making for a deeper connection human-dog connection. DoVE Project is committed to helping our adopters desensitize and socialize our dog meat trade survivors. ********************************* DoVE Project operates a shelter in South Korea, where our dogs stay until they are matched with an adopter. In the US, our dogs stay in foster homes or in boarding, as we do not have a physical facility. These dogs are identified with "in LA" in their names. Please note that we only adopt our pups in the Southern California area. Please check our website for more information regarding our adoption process, our mission, and adoption application: https://www.dove-project.org/adoption-process If you are interested in adopting, please complete an online application at: https://www.dove-project.org/adoption-application-form.

Story
Bonded Pair Of Sisters That Must Be Adopted Together This is Abbi (the bigger pup) and Gabbi (smaller pup), two absolutely adorable, female sisters who are about 1 year old each and about 15 and 18lbs. Abbi and Gabbi are Schnauzer/Scottish Terrier mixes that are stunning in person! We got these two girls after they were abandoned at a park left to fend on their own. Thankfully a kind person got them to safety, scanned for a microchip (they did not have one), and then placed them on a stray hold where owners never came to claim them. Abbi and Gabbi are still young puppies that will need a puppy savvy home where the owners are not gone long hours during the day. These two girls are very bonded and we will only adopt them out together. A home with a safe and secure yard would be ideal for them to run around and play in. Abbi and Gabbi are new to our rescue, so we are still learning about them, but they seem to be happy, playful, and loving dogs that are yearning for a forever home to call their own. Abby and Gabby are spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. We only adopt in the Greater Los Angeles Areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required. Please contact us at: Gina@theforgottendog.org or 310-990-2020

Story
This is a courtesy posting, Harper is with Homeward Bound Schnauzer Rescue and is located in in Rancho Cucamonga CA. If interested in adopting her, please fill out their application at https://www.hbschnauzerrescue.com/adoption-form. You may also contact them via email at HBSchnauzerRescue@gmail.com. Please note Miniature Schnauzers & Friends Rescue bears no responsibility for any adoptions or contacts made through courtesy postings. Harper - 2 year old female Miniature Schnauzer. She has a high toy drive and loves to play. Good on leash and in the car in a car seat. Loves to cuddle and be close to her person/people and will be your sidekick.Spayed. UTD with vaccines, microchipped, vetted.Low shed, but not no shed. She can be a barker (Schnauzer/Terrier) you know! Crate trained and potty trained If you love agility training she is your girl! This isn't a requirement however! She can be reactive to certain triggers due to her past, so it takes her some time to trust. HARPER NEEDS: Experienced, Confident, Compassionate, patient, owner who is willing to work through her insecurities and fears (she has been through enough bad times). A family who believes that dogs are family and will provide her a forever loving home. A house with a yard She doesn’t do well in a kennel environment, so she is not a good fit for a family who travels and kennels their dogs.oves walks and exploring. One other dog her size who is at most a couple years older is ideal. A family who works from home, or not gone long hours (she doesn’t like being alone - She seems to do okay if another dog is there). A family who is serious about helping Harper become the best version of herself by understanding that behavior training to learn leadership, trust, and confidence is a must. NOT A GOOD FIT FOR HARPER: Kids of any age. Cats or small animals. Apartment living. Big dogs. First time dog owner. Impatient family. People unwilling to put in the work. Money has been raised to help offset the cost of Harper's behavior training with her forever family. We want to help set her up for success. CONTACT INFO: Harper is being fostered in Rancho Cucamonga CA and available through Homeward Bound Schnauzer Rescue, If interested in adopting Harper, please fill out their application at https://www.hbschnauzerrescue.com/adoption-form. Story
Meet Kermit Kermit is a sweet little older man. He is good with cats and other dogs. He is a bit deaf and semi blind but very sweet, adorable and cuddly. He has a good appetite! He doesn't need to go for walks and can just be carried out into the yard or hang out on leash for a slow stroll to sniff around. Since he's older, he is wearing pants/belly band in the house. :) He and his two other siblings were being evicted from their home and they were going to be turned in to shelter. Thankfully a Good Samaritan stepped in and intercepted this! Kermit would like to be adopted with Tilly and Harley, attaching links for them here... Harley https://www.petfinder.com/dog/harley-64098994/ca/west-hollywood/ape-action-animals-people-environment-action-ca1249/ Tilly https://www.petfinder.com/dog/tilly-64099230/ca/west-hollywood/ape-action-animals-people-environment-action-ca1249/ Since they need to find homes immediately they can be separated. Kermit is very easy going and it's particular if he's w/another dog or not, so he would be fine separated from the other two and being the only dog to get all the attention, or can be in a home w/other calm dogs since he's a senior and has limited sight/hearing. This is a courtesy post, please call or text Jennifer Ruiz 310-228-8221 if interested. They are located in Van Nuys/CA
