He is completely house broken, and crate trained. Even though this sweet boy is crate trained he doesn’t requitd it and does love to sleep in the bedroom with you on a doggie bed at night. Meet Charlie & Cooper – A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Forever Family. Charlie and Cooper are two adorable five-year-old boys who came to Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati after their owner’s health made it impossible to continue caring for them. They have been together their entire lives, and because of their incredible bond, they will only be adopted as a pair. Now that they’ve settled into foster care, their sweet personalities are shining through. They love being close to their people, soaking up attention, and enjoying all the affection they can get. Watching them together is truly special–they’re happiest side by side. These handsome boys are also feeling great after a fresh grooming and are beginning their journey to a healthier lifestyle. They came to rescue carrying some extra weight from being overfed, so they’re now on a weight-management diet and are already making wonderful progress. Charlie and Cooper are neutered, housebroken, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and up to date on all preventatives. They are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard and no cats, where they can continue their healthy routine and enjoy life together. If you’ve been thinking about opening your heart to not one, but two incredibly deserving companions, Charlie and Cooper are ready to fill your home with twice the love, twice the loyalty, and endless smiles. Think these sweet boys belong with you? We’d love to hear from you! Please complete an adoption application today. Fostered in Cincinnati. Gets along with other dogs? Yes Gets along with cats? Updated 8-3-2024 $400 adoption fee is for both pups! Meet the dynamic duo of Henry and Helen! These sweet pups are puppy mill survivors. They were found alone in an abandoned house, and we’d like them to stay together. Henry is approx. 7-8 years old, 12 lbs. schnauzer/terrier mix (maybe some Beagle?). He LOVES his person and constantly will follow you around the house. His favorite activities include snuggling, napping, and hanging outside. He is house trained, does OK on a leash, and rarely makes a noise. You may hear him whine a little bit if he doesn’t know where you are. While out of the house, he is either left out or in the office with the door closed. He is trusted and doesn’t use a crate. He can do stairs and jump off/on the bed and couch. Story
Rue is Ready for His Forever Home! Some dogs just need someone to believe in them... and that’s Rue. 5 yr old Rue came to Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati after being left behind when his owner moved away. The person he was left with didn’t feel he was their responsibility, so Rue spent much of his time alone in a backyard, missing out on the love, attention, and socialization every dog deserves. Since joining SRC, Rue has been learning that people can be kind, new places don’t have to be scary, and life can be good. He has made wonderful progress, but what he wants most is a family of his own. Rue is looking for a calm, low-energy home where he can take his time settling in. He’ll need a patient adopter who understands that trust isn’t built overnight, but once you earn it, you’ll have a loyal best friend by your side. He gets along fine with other dogs but doesn’t really pay much attention to them. His heart belongs to his person, so he’d be happy as an only dog or with another laid-back companion. One thing he absolutely loves is spending time outside, so a securely fenced yard is a must. Rue is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, has had a dental, and is current on heartworm and flea prevention. Could you be the one to show Rue what it truly means to be loved? After everything he’s been through, he deserves a family that will never leave him behind. Rue is being fostered in Cincinnati. Story
My name is Luke. I am a Schnauzer who is 7 years old and weighs 23 lbs. I found my way into Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati because my owners were not able to care for me due to their age and health concerns. I am in a foster home in Cincinnati and I have had five brothers and sisters which I get along great with but also could enjoy being an only dog. I get really excited to go on car trips but don’t have any separation anxiety if I stay home. I love my fenced yard to run and chase the squirrels in and hope to have one in my forever home. I don’t play with toys unless you play with me, for example, a toss toy. I am great on a leash, know steps and am healthy and current on all my vaccines as well as microchipped. Children make me very anxious so it is best that I don’t have any in my forever home. I love to sleep with my foster mom at night in bed and hope to do so with my new family. If you are looking for a new best friend for your family... check me out! Thank you for reading my story. Gets along with other dogs? Yes Gets along with cats? Unknown Gets along with other pets?
