Story
Meet 8 year old Jingles, Your Sweet New Companion!! Jingles is a loving and gentle soul seeking a special home that can accommodate his needs as a diabetic pup. Diagnosed just this year, Jingles hadn’t been fed a proper diet and his weight became out of control. Now with no table food, prescription food, insulin injections twice daily he is doing phenomenal. His care is all about routine. He takes his daily injections like a champ and he’s down 10 lbs. since entering rescue. Jingles loves to run and play with is foster brothers and sisters so a home with back yard is a must as well as another pup. He will walk on a leash, but does require some training as he does pull. He is completely house broken, and crate trained. Even though this sweet boy is crate trained he does love to sleep in the bedroom with you on a doggie bed at night. He is up to date on all vaccines, prevention, chipped, a dental, and neutered. If you think you are the perfect family for Jingles, please fill out an application. Gets along with other dogs? Story
Meet 6 year old Ralphie! Several weeks ago, Ralphie had a pending adoption that did not work out. He is still searching for his furever fit! This handsome boy is a very loved owner surrender. It was an emotional surrender and the family has kept in touch, but they know it’s in his best interest he find a home with less stimulation. Ralphie does have anxiety with new situations or new people. He needs a family patient and willing to help him work through it. Ralphie’s initial meet and bark can be a bit intimidating. If you can get past the shrill barking, you have a love bug on your hands! He is the absolute sweetest boy! Ralphie was also an only dog. We now know he LOVES other pups to play with. He has become very smitten with another foster Lucy. He will play with everyone, but he plays and grooms her! Ralphie is utd on all vaccines, neutered, chipped and now looking for his furever home. He walks well on a leash (he will pull) but will at times have an accident if you’re not paying attention to his queues of needing to go out. He would do best in a fenced yard environment. He loves his toys, hanging out on the couch, and sleeping with his person! He also loves window watching. We consider him our neighborhood watch! We are looking for a family to fit all HIS needs. If we weren’t a foster family with many of our own pups as well as fosters,  Ralphie would be staying with us. If you think Ralphie sounds like the perfect fit for your family please submit your application, Ralphie and I will take a look. He is fostered in Miamisburg, Ohio. Gets along with other dogs? Story
Meet Roameo! This handsome Schnauzer/Poodle Mix is ready to find his furever family. Roameo finds SRC after being rescued from the streets as a stray. Posted on several social media sites, he waited for his family during his stray hold, but no one ever came. Lucky for him the right women were watching and helped him to safety and later in to rescue. With how full rescues are, what a lucky break for this kid to get! Now fully vetted, this 1 & 1/2 year old boy is ready to find a furever family. He is crate trained, house broken, and loves everyone he meets. Roameo is a very active boy so he woukd do best in an active home, with a fenced yard. Tall fence would be great as his jump is out of this world! If you think this guy would be a great addition to your family, please fill out the application below. Huge thank you to Karen and Tonia for helping him find his way to rescue! Roameo is being fostered in Indianapolis, IN. Gets along with other dogs? Yes Gets along with cats? Unknown Gets along with other pets? Unknown Suitable for kids? Story
Meet Lottie! This beautiful 10 year old retired mill mom has finally hit the good life, and is now ready to find her furever home. Lottie entered rescue very shut down and fearful of everything. It is evident that the hands that held and fed her before, were not the friendliest. They also never helped her with the most basic vet care. Lottie now only seeing shadows because of cataracts, spent her younger days staring out of a cage watching her pups be taken from her litter by litter. When she was no longer able to meet the breeders need, she was loaded up and dumped at a shelter. Lucky for this girl, SRC saw her and fell in love! Fast forward 2 months and ohhh what a character we have. Now fully vetted and with a much needed spay, hernia repair, & dental completed, she is loving life. Her favorite time of the day, meal time! Lottie has done absolutely fabulous with her housebreaking. Lottie doesn’t understand how to tell you she needs to go out, but as long as she’s out every 5 hours or so, she will be without issues. She loves couch time, cushy blankets, treats, and her person. She tends to stay very close... like on top of your feet. You have to be mindful of her. She would not be good for a person with a fall history. Lottie is crate trained but doesn’t require a crate as long as steps are blocked off. She would do best in a home with another dog. Lottie deserves the world and we’re going to see to it she gets it! If you think this perfect little girl would make a great addition to your family. Please fill out the application below. Story
Updated 8-3-2024 $400 adoption fee is for both pups! Meet the dynamic duo of Henry and Helen! These sweet pups are puppy mill survivors. They were found alone in an abandoned house, and we’d like them to stay together. Henry is approx. 7-8 years old, 12 lbs. schnauzer/terrier mix (maybe some Beagle?). He LOVES his person and constantly will follow you around the house. His favorite activities include snuggling, napping, and hanging outside. He is house trained, does OK on a leash, and rarely makes a noise. You may hear him whine a little bit if he doesn’t know where you are. While out of the house, he is either left out or in the office with the door closed. He is trusted and doesn’t use a crate. He can do stairs and jump off/on the bed and couch. Story
Sikey was surrendered after her dad entered a care facility and the remaining family was not interested in keeping her. As soon as her foster mom got her in the car, it was apparent that Sikey had significant bladder issues and was promptly taken to the vet where a stone the size of her bladder was quickly removed. She has recovered and is now house-trained Sikey is the definition of a Velcro dog. She loves affection, pets, and cuddles from anyone including strangers. She likes to play with her foster sister, stuffed toys, and play tug-of-war. She enjoys running in the yard. She is vocal if she’s happy, frustrated, or on alert. She does seem to have a bit of trouble reading social cues from other dogs. She’s consistently a good eater and loves her special prescription treats. Sikey is quite smart and learned how to shake just from watching her foster siblings! If you think you would be the perfect fit for Silkey please fill out the application below.
