Story
Grigio, my miniature schnauzer loves me but he does not get along with my daughter's 3 big dogs. Grigio is very loyal to me but he growls at unfamiliar people, although he does eventually gets friendly. My daughter and I worry that Grigio might bite my daughter's baby that's coming in May. He barks at kids playing loudly and chases bicycles. He also chases cats and squirrels. Grigio is about 9 yrs old. He showed up at my gate one hot day in Las Cruces, NM crying and begging to be let in. That was 2017. Now I'm in Portland and I need to find him a home before the baby comes. Grigio is pretty quiet. He's happiest out by the yard exploring. He doesn't shed fur and he's quite handsome. His shiny fur is grey with some black and white. Grigio is bonded to my miniature poodle, Grace. She's also about 9 yrs old with cream colored fur. Grace is a sweetheart. They would do better if they were adopted together. Grigio weighs about 28 lbs while Grace weighs about 16 lbs. thanks for reading.

Story
My dog is around 9 yrs old. Grigio came to my gate one hot summer day in 2018 in New Mexico. He must have been at least a year old. I let him in and gave him water and food. He's been with me since. I moved in with my daughter this year here in Portland. She has 3 big dogs. Grigio cannot get along with them. He shows aggression towards other animals and screaming children. He has never bit anyone. He's very affectionate with me but may growl and bark at others who try to pet him. I'm also worried about my daughter's baby coming in May. It breaks my heart but I have to re-home him. He's attached to my other dog, Grace, a miniature poodle. They must go together, I suggest. Both of them have to be re-homed together because Grace will also miss Grigio. Grace is a sweetheart. I found her at a gas station one stormy day in New Mexico not long after Grigio showed up at my gate. She jumped right into my car and started playing with Grigio. They were around the same age I guessed.

Story
Meet Bucky Mini Schnauzer / Maltese Mix | Male | DOB: 3/1/2024 | 15 Pounds | Healthy Bucky is 15 pounds of loyalty wrapped in a happy, wiggly body. At two years old, he’s the perfect balance — playful enough to keep life fun, mature enough to settle beautifully into a routine. He’s the kind of little dog who chooses his person and loves them with his whole heart. Personality Bucky is affectionate, bright, and deeply people-oriented. He enjoys walks, toys, and interactive play, but what he truly loves most is being close. He’ll follow you from room to room, curl beside you on the couch, and look at you like you’re the best thing that ever happened to him. He bonds strongly and thrives when he feels included. Breed Info A Maltese/Schnauzer mix often brings intelligence, trainability, and strong attachment to their people. They are companion-oriented dogs who do not thrive in isolation. Grooming will be part of her lifelong care, and mental engagement is important to prevent boredom. With proper training and routine, this mix becomes wonderfully loyal and well-adjusted Owner Responsibilities Daily companionship, gentle exercise, mental stimulation, and positive reinforcement. Bucky will flourish with routine and stability. Things to Consider Is your housing secure and pet-approved long term? Are you prepared financially for grooming, veterinary care, and emergencies? If your life changes — a move, new job, relationship changes — will Chelsea still have a place in it? Adopting a young dog means committing through every stage of life. Vet Care Even though Chelsea is healthy, it is important to establish care with your own veterinarian immediately after adoption. This ensures proper vaccination follow-up, growth monitoring, and preventative care planning. The 3-3-3 Rule The first 3 days she may feel unsure or overstimulated. The first 3 weeks she will begin understanding your routine. By 3 months, with patience and consistency, she will feel safe and truly at home. Adjustment is a process, not an instant transition. Why Bucky? Bucky is the kind of dog who becomes your little shadow and your steady companion. He will celebrate your return home, curl beside you at night, and offer loyalty that feels deeply personal. If you’re ready for a devoted best friend who chooses you every day, Bucky is ready to choose you back.
