Story
Best family dog! Likes dogs, humans and cats! Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com I would like a family looking for a Schnauzer mix. My owners abandoned my litter on a highway. Dillon is a ma le 4.5 mos old and 22 lb Schnauzer./Maltese mix (we think) I love people. I am shy at first, but I do love my people. I am a semi energetic, very affectionate gal that likes playing with toys and hang out with my people. I am an indoor dog that will enjoy daily walks and some dog training. I will need periodic grooming. Okay with dog tolerant cats. Courtesay post for Helotes Humane Society. L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 500,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Please contact us to ask about our adoption process and our adoption fees.

Story
Lieutenant (named after lieutenant Dan) came to us about 4 years ago as a sweet puppy. She has such a precious heart and personality. In a dream world she would be held all day, every day. We adopted her from a breeder that was going to put her down due to her being a runt that no one wanted. We instantly fell in love with her spirit. Shortly afterwards we realized she is blind and has strong anxiety due to this. She also loves being outside and running in circles. We have found a groomer that loves her and is trained for special needs dogs. We also have a vet that understands her also. Sticking with this vet and groomer would be a big plus for us. She is crate trained, we keep a heating pad in there along with white noise to help her calm down. At the end of the day we just don’t have the time for her. We would love to have the time to spend with her but unfortunately we both need to work full time. She gets along fine with our border collie but would maybe do best as an only pet.

Story
Hello, my name is bunny but my friends call me bun bun. The shelter said I was 14 but I really feel more like I am 8 or 9. I had tons of babies so my body got run down but with all my hopping around I am getting more muscle tone. I am also gaining some weight from all the soft food I eat now. I dont have any teeth at all so I do need soft food. I love women, kids and food. I am not fond of cats or men, but I would probably get used to a man in my space (i will always chase cats but with no teeth i cant hurt them). I love to play, go on walks and snuggle on the couch but i am still learning these new skills. And I love to bark at every noise. I really enjoy hanging out in my open crate or in my little soft enclosed dog bed. And I will hang out in my kennel with the door closed and not cause a ruckus. If you can be patient with me I will love you forever.

Story
Col. Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue www.cairnrescue.comDon Diego is a sweet little 16-year-old Cairn Terrier. He is mostly deaf, and mostly blind-- blind in one eye and not much vision in the other. He gets along fine with his keen sense of smell. As with many older pups, he has some health issues, so he is on a few medications. His foster home also has another dog, as well as 2 cats, and he gets along well with them all. He loves to go for walks, but he has some arthritis, so he can only walk shorter distances. He loves to eat, and he will even snatch food away from you, when you're not looking. When he isn't roaming around the house, motoring, he is usually snoozing.FOR LOTS MORE INFORMATION ON DON DIEGO ENTER OR COPY THIS LINK ONTO YOUR WEB BROWSER:https://www.cairnrescue.com/store/dogs/ San Diego, CA in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!LEARN OUR 'ADOPTION FAQS': Any questions that you may have about our adoption process, fees, transporting a dog, and our policy not to adopt to families with small children, can be answered at our main website or going directly to this link: https://www.cairnrescue.com/service/faq/ IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU READ THE FAQ'S BEFORE COMPLETING AN APPLICATION.
