Meet Pickles Abandoned and Forgotten—Now Ready to Be Loved Forever ❤️ Breed: Miniature Schnauzer Mix Gender: Female | DOB: 7/23/2025 | Weight/Size: Small Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats: Unknown | Kids ✔️ Medical: ✔️ Spayed | ✔️ Vaccinations Up to Date | ✔️ Microchipped Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue provides safe transportation to approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Pickles' Story Pickles deserved so much better. At some point in her life, the family she trusted made the heartbreaking decision to leave her behind. Suddenly, she was alone, trying to survive on the streets without the comfort and care she had always known. When rescuers found her, her coat was heavily matted, dirty, and neglected, making it clear she had been fending for herself for quite some time. Beneath all those tangled mats, however, was something truly special—a sweet little dog who had never stopped believing that someone would help her. After being rescued, Pickles received a much-needed grooming, veterinary care, nutritious meals, and plenty of love. As the knots disappeared and her beautiful face was revealed, so did her cheerful personality. It didn't take long for everyone to fall in love with this happy little girl. Pickles is affectionate, gentle, and loves being close to her people. She enjoys leisurely walks, exploring the yard, relaxing in a cozy bed, and following her favorite person from room to room just to be part of whatever is happening. She has a calm, loving personality and appreciates every bit of attention she's given. As a Miniature Schnauzer Mix, Pickles is intelligent, loyal, and eager to please. Miniature Schnauzers are known for their bright personalities, adaptability, and devotion to their families. They enjoy learning, love spending time with their people, and make wonderful companions for individuals, couples, and families alike. Pickles would thrive in a home that offers: Daily walks and moderate exercise Plenty of love and companionship Positive reinforcement training Interactive toys and mental enrichment A comfortable indoor home where she can always be close to her family A predictable daily routine A lifetime of love, patience, and commitment Pickles has already experienced what it feels like to be abandoned. Now she's looking for something she's always deserved—a family that will love her, protect her, and never let her feel alone again. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Although Pickles has likely lived in a home before, every rescue dog needs time to adjust to a new environment. New routines, unfamiliar surroundings, and different experiences can take time to understand. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to learn your household routine 3 Months to fully settle into family life Pickles is eager to please and enjoys being with people, making her an excellent candidate for continued positive reinforcement training. As she grows comfortable in her new surroundings, her playful, affectionate personality will continue to blossom. Her new family should continue providing: Positive reinforcement training Daily walks and regular exercise Mental enrichment through toys and interactive games Consistent routines and gentle leadership Continued socialization Plenty of love, patience, and encouragement With kindness and stability, Pickles will become a loyal companion who will happily spend every day by your side. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Adopting Pickles is a lifelong commitment that includes providing proper veterinary care, exercise, companionship, and unconditional love. As part of responsible pet ownership, Pickles will need: Annual veterinary wellness examinations Routine vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention A balanced, nutritious diet to maintain a healthy weight Regular exercise and mental enrichment Continued positive reinforcement training A safe, loving indoor home where she is treated as a cherished member of the family We recommend scheduling a wellness examination with your veterinarian shortly after adoption to establish care and help ensure Pickles continues to thrive throughout her life. After everything she's been through, Pickles deserves the comfort of knowing she'll never have to fend for herself again.
