Story
Marley has spent almost two years waiting for something most dogs are given without question — a home. Born around February, 2023, this strikingly handsome Catahoula mix boy has grown up in a shelter, watching the world move past him while he stays behind in a kennel run. It’s hard to understand how a dog so joyful, so loving, and so eager to connect has been overlooked for so long.  Maybe it's because he isn't in a big city where people frequent the local shelter looking a dog to love.  Marley is in a very rural ,out of the way shelter that few people come to. Marley is the kind of dog who lights up when someone notices him. He is friendly, social, and genuinely happy just to be included. He gets along well with other dogs and older children, and his favorite thing in the world is simply being part of the moment — whether that means splashing in water, running around outside, or settling in as your loyal couch companion. Time has softened Marley in the best ways. While he still has a playful spirit, he’s matured into a wonderfully balanced dog who knows how to enjoy both adventure and quiet companionship. He leans into affection, seeks out closeness, and gives love freely — the kind of love that feels steady, sincere, and deeply comforting. What Marley is missing isn’t training or potential — it’s belonging. He deserves a family who sees him not as another face in a kennel, but as a best friend waiting patiently for his turn. A home where he can stretch his legs, rest his head on your lap, and finally understand that he’s safe and chosen. Marley is sweet. He is beautiful. He is ready. He has already waited long enough. He deserves more than a kennel. He deserves mornings in a home, evenings with his head in your lap, and a life where he's finally chosen. If you're looking for a dog who will meet you with joy, loyalty, and an open heart every single day... Marley Is still at the shelter, still hoping, and still ready to go home. Even if all you can do is foster him while Critter Cavalry searches for a home, please consider the option to free him. All he needs is someone to look at him and say, you’re coming home with me. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Please consider Marley and changing his life from a kennel run to a soft dog bed laying at your feet. Don't hesitate to contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.January 26, 2026, 6:54 pm

Story
Frankie and Liberty are 6 month old Catahoula mix pups who are little social butterflies and ready for the homes. Their foster family does nothing but compliment these two on how well they do with their kids and their other dogs. They have truly fit right in! They were rescued directly from a city kill shelter so that they can have their chance at freedom. They are spayed/neutered, fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. Our pups come with one month of free pet insurance when you adopt. If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://packleadersrescue.com/adoption-application/

Story
Cookie, Camille, Cinnamon and Charlotte are 10 week old female Catahoula mix puppies who weigh around 10 lbs. They were surrendered to the city pound at 6 weeks of age and were very scared prior to being rescued. Cookie, Cinnamon and Charlotte were the most scared and shy while in foster but have slowly started to come out of their shell and thrive being around other dogs. It will take a few days for them to relax and feel safe in their new homes so they will need patient and understanding adopters. We’d recommend these three go to homes that have other dogs to continue to build their confidence. Camille is a more outgoing and confident puppy but affectionate and great with other dogs. They are up to date on vaccines for their age and microchipped. Our pups come with one month of free pet insurance when you adopt. If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://packleadersrescue.com/adoption-application/
