We received a call for help, this person had more then 20 animals on his property, adults and puppies he needed food and to get the girls fixed. A local spay/neuter clinic helped with spay/neuter, rabies and heartworm testing. All the adults were taken back to the owner and he is given dog food to help with feeding them. We were able to take in some of the young pups, had them heartworm tested (which was negative) spay/neutered all vaccines and microchipped. We took the puppies hoping they would be heartworm negative and they are. Since having them here we have had to work with them to learn to trust us, at first they will be a little nervous but give them time and they will fill your heart. They are crate trained, but not house broken. If you have a big heart and would like to give these puppies a chance, please email BakerBridgeRescue@aol.com and ask for an application, we would love to talk with you in detail about each pup. Once approved, we will call you. We transport every other week to a location near you with the most animal friendly transport - Rescue Riders Transport.

This pup is a Catahoula mix. This pup was born 10-20-22. This pup will not be overly large. My educated guess is around 35-40 pounds at maturity. This pup is extremely sweet and social. This pup is great with other dogs and cats. We have started crate training and potty training. Frances is spayed! This pup will be current on vaccines, deworming, preventives. This pup will be micro-chipped. This pup will receive a physical and a certificate of health prior to going home. The adopter will get all the health records with adoption. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Nestle is an easy dog to have and to love. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her, and she absolutely loves to be around her person. Once she gets to know you and feels comfortable with you, she’s a snuggler. Her foster says “She is sweet, lovable, and mostly calm, although she is excited when she has the opportunity to go outside and explore. With proper introductions, she gets along great with other dogs. In her foster home she has a canine sister and gets along great with her. She is overall a great dog.” And our fosters see a lot of dogs, so this means Nestle is something special. A friendly dog, who spreads smiles wherever she goes. A nice, medium-sized one too, who will fit into most any household. In short, she is really fun to have around and will make an ideal family dog and best friend. If you are happy, she is happy. And she can tell when you are sad or worried, and will do her best to make you smile. It’s her calling! Nestle is not completely house-trained. She will go outside but also uses a pad indoors when she has an accident. Continued work with her in her forever home should help get her fully trained. No cats for Nestle. She is a bit too interested! They seem to look too much like those squirrels and rabbits that she wants to chase.
