Story
Meet Wisteria – The Sweetheart with the Sunset Coat!    With her rich, red coat and eyes full of kindness, Wisteria is more than just a pretty face—she’s a joyful, loyal, ball-chasing bundle of love looking for her forever family.    At just 5 months old and around 26 pounds, Wisteria is a Mountain Cur mix who was found with her two siblings on a quiet country road in rural Middle Tennessee. Despite her rough start, she’s blossomed into a confident, playful pup with so much love to give.    Wisteria is always the first to the party—especially if that party includes a game of fetch or a backyard full of kids! She’d thrive in a home with young, active children who want a best friend to grow up with. Her energy is happy and contagious, and she loves to be included in whatever fun the day brings.   She’ll likely grow into a 65–70 lb graceful girl, with the classic Cur traits of being intelligent, loyal, and watchful. While not a guard dog, she’ll make sure your home feels safe—just enough bark to keep things in check, and plenty of love to make everyone feel welcome.    Wisteria is doing great with crate and house training, thanks to a foster family full of caring humans (and kids!) who have helped her start life on the right paw.   Ready to fall in love? Because Wisteria already loves you.    Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to request an adoption application. Let’s give this beautiful girl the fresh start she deserves and the family she’s been waiting for.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 27, 2025, 5:42 pm

Story
Oakley, affectionately known as 'Dottie girl ' by her foster family, has such a sweet, lovable, big personality and is very eager to please!  This Pit/Mountain Curr mix is a total Phoenix that has risen from the fires of neglect, abandonment and even successfully raised her litter of puppies in the woods for the first 10 weeks of life. They were all successfully adopted in the Fall and living wonderful lives of love and commitment from their families.  Oakley is the perfect girl that lives with anyone and everyone that comes her way.  She embraces all people and dogs and she just lives her life with resilience and tolerance.  This girl might not be a Golden Retriever in looks but she surpasses any of the commonly accepted breeds that everyone gravitates to and wants to adopt.  Take her Pit mix package look away and please consider only her SOUL?  Trust us, you will not want to look elsewhere for the most perfect and beautiful temperamented dog.  Oakley sits on command and walks nicely on a leash.  When she meets new people, she is so very social and she embraces all other dogs, adults and children alike.  This girl loves to play dress up in cozy sweaters and loves a good chew toy. HOW FUN!???? RIGHT?  If you have children she is right there to engage and play with them and their fantasies.  This Momma dog is just a young 2yr old, 40lb sweetheart who longs to be an inside dog that can cuddle up next to you on the couch and help you melt the life challenges away.   Oakley had outsmarted many rescuers for months running around the county with her litter of puppies being. When she gave in we realized what a remarkable Mom she was and the beauty of her puppies.  All of her puppies have been adopted, but now Oakley is raising her heart and hand to say…. Pick Me Too!  She deserves a remarkable future and life because she will provide the amazing dog companion to someone that can ever be imagined.  Forget the wrapper on the package and consider the heart please…You won’t regret living a life with Oakley. Story
Razzle Taz has the most beautiful coal black eyes that pierce  your soul as he stares at you begging for some love and attention.  This boy was taken from an abusive family who were bragging to co-workers about kicking and tying him up.  The co-worker contacted Critter Cavalry and we found a wonderful foster family that is spending time getting to know Razzle Taz and what his emotional and physical needs will be in life.  This boy is 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds.  He is slim and  sleek and has the energy of 3 puppies.   This boy is so smart and curious and he needs mentally fun challenges daily and some real walking and exercise time in a fenced backyard or on the road running with an active person.  This boy is very smart and would benefit from games, flyball, agility classes, just thinking activities paired with exercise.  He is friendly with everyone and good with cats, dogs, children and ready to take on learning all he can about the world.   If your are interested in this Mountain Cur mix pup please write to us atccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 30, 2024, 1:47 pm

Story
Wanda – Queen of the Zoomies & Ruler of Hearts!  Looking for a pup who’s equal parts comedian, cuddle bug, and confident leader? Meet Wanda, a 5-month-old Mountain Cur mix who was found with her siblings in the rural backroads of Middle Tennessee—no humans in sight, just wagging tails and hopeful hearts. At 25 lbs and growing fast (she’ll likely be around 70 lbs when full-grown), Wanda is well on her way to becoming a gorgeous big girl with a low-shedding, light tan coat and paws that promise epic adventures ahead.  But let’s talk personality—because Wanda has plenty of it!She’s the Queen of Zoomies, zipping around the yard with total joy and cracking up everyone who watches. After the fun? She’s perfectly content to crash at your feet, wagging her tail and soaking up your love.  Confident and clever, Wanda is the natural leader of her sibling trio. She’s always the first to figure things out and is brave enough to try anything new. She’s great with kids and other pets, even the grumpy ones who just don’t appreciate her puppy energy. Wanda’s philosophy? “More love, less drama.” If you're ready for a life filled with laughs, snuggles, and a little bit of adorable mischief, Wanda is your girl. She’s smart, affectionate, and 100% ready for her forever home.  Reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to request an adoption application.
