Story
Meet Owen!  A handsome, goofy boy who enjoys swimming, playing with other dogs and his toys. Owen is currently just under 70 lbs, just shy of his 3rd birthday and a total ham who doesn’t realize he’s not a lap dog. Owen thinks he is a giant puppy (we won’t tell him he’s actually an adult). His foster mom describes him as a puppy in a full-size dogs body. Owen is crate and potty trained. Cats are a little too interesting to Owen, so no feline friends for this hunk. While he is great with his human foster siblings (ages 5 & 9), he does jump when excited. Once he’s past that though, he is just a big potato who wants a family to call his own. Owen will even humor you and wear a silly hat for picture time. What’s not to love? He truly is a love bug!! If you would like to meet to OWEN, apply at EHRdogs.org. April 25, 2024, 6:38 am

Story
Meet Milo -- he’s an energetic, confident Mountain Cur pup with a heart of gold! At just under 1 y/o and 45ish lbs, he's a natural-born leader and loves to be on the go. Milo's always eager to learn and work, which makes him a perfect fit for farm, working, or active households. He's not one to mess around - Milo's all about pleasing his human and knowing what's expected of him. He already knows commands like Sit, Come and Stay.  Milo is also a social butterfly, having lived with small and large dogs and even feline friends (although he sometimes gets a bit frisky). While he's sure to be a hit with school-aged kids, his boundless energy might be a bit much for little ones. Whatever adventure comes his way, Milo is ready to take on the world with a wagging tail and a smile!  If you'd like to meet Milo, please visit ehrdogs.org and fill out an application.   April 25, 2024, 6:38 am

Story
My name is Newton! I am a really really handsome boy. I am 2 years old and honestly, I need someone to take a chance on me. I am a mix of hound, maybe some mountain dog and venturing to say some Aussie. I am longing for a chance to sit on the couch with my humans and get lots of love and playtime. I am a nice boy! I am good with other dogs (we are unsure of cats and because I probably have some herding breed in me, we should stay away from the felines for now). I am playful, I love to walk and have fun outdoor adventures. This is what would work for me in a new home. A fenced in yard would be perfect for me and a single family home would be ideal. My family/person needs to be relatively active - a person that will put a little time into some basic training, take me for walks or hikes or maybe even a mild jog sometimes. Did I tell you I won a race with my caretaker! That's me in the picture at the race! I have not been around young kids so ASCZ is recommending kids 10+. I have always welcomed new faces and may jump with excitement. I will need some housebreaking work when I go into my new home. I am 2 years old so it shouldn't take me long and I am SMART. I am kind of like a big kid who wants to play and have a lot of fun. If you are interested in giving me a chance in a real home setting, please apply here! ASCZ will be very excited to talk to you! https://asecondchanceforziva.org/adopt/adoption-process-application/

Story
Asha’s owners loved her, but had a farm and she had a taste for the owner's chickens and made the choice to surrender her. Asha is high energy and loves to play, but also loves her snuggles and to be with people. She has tested well with dogs, but due to her prey drive towards chickens, we are hesitant to suggest a home with small animals/cats. Asha is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org . If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. We partner with the awesome transport service company Rescue Riders to safely and professionally move our animals to their loving new homes!

Story
Due to an ongoing medical situation in our family and concurrent need to move out of our home and into temporary housing, we are looking to find a new home for our beloved Kira. She is such a sweet soul and just wants to be with people, and our current complex situation is making it difficult to give her the quality of life she deserves. ABOUT KIRA —11 y.o., medium-sized, 45 lbs —Thinks she's a lap dog! Wants to cuddle in your arms —Easygoing - doesn't require a strict schedule for wakeup or meal time —Happy to sleep all day but still has energy for adventures —Currently has freedom to go in & out of the house or be let outside to explore the yard, so would do best with fenced-in yard —Very quiet & doesn't bark at things, does whimper for attention —Can be reactive/picky with which dogs she gets along with, so should be the only dog in the home —Great with our young children but for a new home would do best with children ages 8+ who know not to climb on her —Perfect companion/WFH bud

Story
Bosley is the only boy in our Charles Angels litter. We got a call about 4 puppies that needed help. A young lady had thought she had a rescue lined up and they said they could not take the puppies when she took them to them. She was given our number and after talking to her we could not say no. These poor babies were at a house with no food, they were eating anything they could find. They were also near a road that they would have been killed. Bosley is the sweetest fellow and loves to snuggle. He is doing great with leash training and it would not be difficult to house train him as they are all so smart. He would be great for anyone. We can do a video if you would like too. All of us in the rescue have full time jobs as well as running the rescue so if you are interested in Bosley please go to our website www.doginghampalacerescue.org for our application. Then email the application back to doginghamrescue@aol.com. The fees on our website are very out dated, we are waiting on the lady to update everything. Since covid hit, it is hard to get into vets offices and prices have gone way up. The adoption fee and transport fee is explained below. We are based in the Nashville, TN area and have most of our dogs transported up north. The $450 includes the adoption and transport fee (will have a health certificate too). The transport fee is not refundable if things do not work out.

Story
Allegra is a beautiful & friendly Girl who is about 3 years old and 59 lbs. She loves to be outside, loves her toys, and loves playing fetch! She is a very smart girl & needs an experienced owner as she is energetic and will test her boundries. She is a great dog, just energetic. She has had professional training (knows come, sit, down, stay) and would do best in an active home with someone who will continue her training. The sweet girl has good leash manners, and is looking for a home with an active person/family & a fenced yard. She is very energetic and would be a great running companion! She is people friendly, likes kids, and loves to get attention. She could easily knock small children over so older kids would be better and is dog friendly and gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, but is not a fan of cats. She is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated & microchipped. Apply to adopt at EHRdogs.orgApril 25, 2024, 6:38 am

Story
Handsome and elegant, that's how they describe Stanley who was found as a stray with an old eye injury that doesn't slow him down. He is very well-trained and has even completed a board & train program. Stanley's professional training comes with lifetime follow-ups if needed. Stanley loves going for rides in the car if you'd like company. This boy would do best with an owner that will provide him with the structure to which he has become accustomed.  He loves the outdoors and is excellent on a leash. He would be a great dog to take on your outdoor adventures and he especially loves to go on long hikes! When it comes to other dogs, he seems to prefer female over male dogs. He does get along with cats though. Stanley is 7 years old and weighs 55 pounds. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. He is ready to move in if you'll have him! If you're interested in meeting Stanley, go to EHRDOGS.ORG and submit an application.  Don't forget to ask for STANLEY MARTIN STEELE!!April 25, 2024, 6:38 am

Story
Skylar was adopted by her dad when she was 3 months old. At first the landlord said it was okay to have her in his house but now that Skylar is 6 months old he wants her gone - says she is too noisy and has to go because he can hear her running on the floor & playing with toys. Skylar's dad is besides himself and he is trying to find a loving, safe place for Skylar. She is a Plott Hound mix who weighs 60 pounds - she is a friendly girl who is house trained and crate trained. Skylar is NOT with 11th Hour Rescue but we are helping Dad network her for a safe place to go. If you are interested in Skylar, please contact Juan directly at 201-647-8640 or by emailing Peacemakerjuanrivera3rd@gmail.com - Skylar lives in Somerville, NJ.April 25, 2024, 6:38 am
