Meet Owen!  A handsome, goofy boy who enjoys swimming, playing with other dogs and his toys. Owen is currently just under 70 lbs, just shy of his 3rd birthday and a total ham who doesn’t realize he’s not a lap dog. Owen thinks he is a giant puppy (we won’t tell him he’s actually an adult). His foster mom describes him as a puppy in a full-size dogs body. Owen is crate and potty trained. Cats are a little too interesting to Owen, so no feline friends for this hunk. While he is great with his human foster siblings (ages 5 & 9), he does jump when excited. Once he’s past that though, he is just a big potato who wants a family to call his own. My name is Newton! I am a really really handsome boy. I am 2 years old and honestly, I need someone to take a chance on me. I am a mix of hound, maybe some mountain dog and venturing to say some Aussie. I am longing for a chance to sit on the couch with my humans and get lots of love and playtime. I am a nice boy! I am good with other dogs (we are unsure of cats and because I probably have some herding breed in me, we should stay away from the felines for now). I am playful, I love to walk and have fun outdoor adventures. This is what would work for me in a new home. A fenced in yard would be perfect for me and a single family home would be ideal. My family/person needs to be relatively active - a person that will put a little time into some basic training, take me for walks or hikes or maybe even a mild jog sometimes. Asha’s owners loved her, but had a farm and she had a taste for the owner's chickens and made the choice to surrender her. Asha is high energy and loves to play, but also loves her snuggles and to be with people. She has tested well with dogs, but due to her prey drive towards chickens, we are hesitant to suggest a home with small animals/cats. Asha is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org . A young lady had thought she had a rescue lined up and they said they could not take the puppies when she took them to them. She was given our number and after talking to her we could not say no. These poor babies were at a house with no food, they were eating anything they could find. They were also near a road that they would have been killed. Bosley is the sweetest fellow and loves to snuggle. He is doing great with leash training and it would not be difficult to house train him as they are all so smart. He would be great for anyone. We can do a video if you would like too. She is a very smart girl & needs an experienced owner as she is energetic and will test her boundries. She is a great dog, just energetic. She has had professional training (knows come, sit, down, stay) and would do best in an active home with someone who will continue her training. The sweet girl has good leash manners, and is looking for a home with an active person/family & a fenced yard. She is very energetic and would be a great running companion! She is people friendly, likes kids, and loves to get attention. She could easily knock small children over so older kids would be better and is dog friendly and gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, but is not a fan of cats. Handsome and elegant, that's how they describe Stanley who was found as a stray with an old eye injury that doesn't slow him down. He is very well-trained and has even completed a board & train program. Stanley's professional training comes with lifetime follow-ups if needed. Stanley loves going for rides in the car if you'd like company. This boy would do best with an owner that will provide him with the structure to which he has become accustomed.  He loves the outdoors and is excellent on a leash. He would be a great dog to take on your outdoor adventures and he especially loves to go on long hikes! When it comes to other dogs, he seems to prefer female over male dogs. He does get along with cats though. Stanley is 7 years old and weighs 55 pounds. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. He is ready to move in if you'll have him! At first the landlord said it was okay to have her in his house but now that Skylar is 6 months old he wants her gone - says she is too noisy and has to go because he can hear her running on the floor & playing with toys.
