Everybody’s ravin’ over Raven! This 1.5 year old, 37-pound Mountain Cur mix is happy, healthy, sweet, and housebroken! And she’s very easy on the eyes too! Playful and active, Raven is an enthusiastic walker and does well on a leash. She enjoys visits to the park where she has room to run and a chance to meet other dogs. At home, Raven likes to rummage through her toy box and mess around with balls, ropes, chewies, plushies, and anything with a squeaker. Raven also has a very mellow side, and is often happy to just curl up in her bed and amuse herself, or better yet, join you on the couch for some cuddle time. Raven is initially a bit shy with strangers, but quickly warms up once she knows it’s safe to do so. Once you’re a friend, you’re a friend for life. She eagerly accepts pets from her head to toe…with belly rubs being an all-time favorite. She will even paw you to convince you to keep rubbing her, dare you try and stop! ;-) Treat motivated and attentive, Raven responds to the commands sit and has a great recall. She is capable of leaning much more. She is well-behaved when left alone, she travels with ease, and she doesn’t seem to be much of a barker. Raven has a very gentle mouth and allows you to take both food and toys away from her without a problem. And she gives the softest, most tender kisses imaginable! Awwwww! A petite beauty, Raven is an amazing dog who will thrive in a home, with or without another dog, as long as there is plenty of love to go around! First of all, she’s got those great ham legs that sploot behind her when she lays down. As you could tell from her pictures she has quite the sizable head on her shoulders but from what we’ve seen it’s only skills are licking and eating. Quinn enjoys treats and can be very food motivated. This has been great as we try to improve some of her skills with basic commands but can also lead her to sniffing out and then jumping up to investigate the smells further. Her jumping is something we are working on but she is quite easy to redirect to the floor. Quinn loves people and dogs. She’s eager to interact with the various dogs in our building and always wiggles with excitement to say hi to new faces. Lastly, Quinn loves a good nap and she is truly gifted when it comes to napping. She can fall asleep within 10 seconds, followed by deep and humorous snores. She has been a joy to foster and will bring much love to a household!

They are both very playful but a little shy meeting new people at first, but they warm up! This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained so would need to relearn it. She does well in a car and is okay on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and probably not a fan of cats. She will need time to warm up to a person but is just a sweetheart when she knows you! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy. She is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Clementine is a beauty who is looking for a home. Clementine is with our sister rescue in Louisiana. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved applicants. Clementine and her pups Hershey and Teddy were taken in by a nice family when the pups were very young. They were at a high kill rural shelter with few resources and little hope for rescue. They were very lucky to get into a nice foster home. Their foster mom has taken care of this family for several months but their original rescue in NY backed out on them. Now this family needs a place to go. We are happy to help this sweet family. Poor Clementine has been through a lot in her 4 years. The vet found 5 bb's in her chest so someone has shot at her in the past. She is also afraid of the dark. Clementine loves her puppies and some of the dogs in her foster home but she does not do well with the Boston Terrier so she is considered dog selective. She may do best as the only dog in the home. Clementine is fixed, microchipped soon and up to date on vaccines. She tested positive for heartworm. and her current foster is working on slow kill treatment for now. Her adoption fee is $450.
