Story
I am Ryder, a Mountain Cur mix with a beautiful brindle coat. Look at my beautiful coat...I look like an adorable baby fox! I'm just 1 year old and I'm fully grown at only 30 pounds which is small for my breeds and the perfect small-medium sized pup. I'm a very good boy and playful and trusting with other dogs. I'm gentle and kind and love people. I'm also really smart and walk so nicely on a leash. I'm hoping my forever family finds me soon so we can all have our happily ever after story!

Story
I am Rocco, a Mountain Cur who is between 1 -2 years old. I'm fully grown at 50 pounds and I'm the most adorable and chill boy you'll ever met. I get along great with other dogs and everyone who meets me thinks I'm wonderful. It's probably my friendly and mellow personality that wins them over. I'm also a sweetie pie sho is smart too which makes me even more of a catch. I'm hoping a wonderful adopter who lives in the suburbs comes and scoops me up so we can live happily ever after. Reach out to Long Road Home to find out more information on me.

Story
Birthdate:  12/11/2023Breed: One of a kindWeight:   Still growing!Picture this: a frolic in the lush fields of Ireland, where the playful barks of puppies blend with the laughter of leprechauns. Among these spirited pups are our Irish gems, whose names are as charming as their playful natures. These adorable wee ones don’t just chase rainbows; they fill our lives with joy brighter than a pot of gold! From the moment they wake, it’s a whirlwind of energy; each day is an adventure waiting to happen. These pups thrive on affection, giving as good as they get with cuddles that could soften even the hardest of hearts. Their zest for life is infectious, whether they’re racing through the grass or exploring the nooks of their world.Their love for toys? Unmatched. A squeaky toy is more than a plaything; it’s a ticket to endless fun. And oh, the treats! These pups believe in the magic of snacks, each one a treasure to be savored. So, if you’re seeking a companion who’s equal parts love and mischief, our Irish pups are ready to fill your days with laughter and love. In their eyes, every day is St. Patrick’s Day, and you’re always the guest of honor at their parade!Walk-ins are welcome! Stop by during our open hours to meet our available dogs!!Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.May 8, 2024, 6:43 am

Due to Tank's energy level and need for a bit more manners training, we think he'll do best in a family of children 10 and up.  Tank and his siblings will remain small to medium sized pups as they are just about full grown based on their age.  The fosters involved with this group are working on consistent training to bring them up to speed and it's working!  They are food motivated and eager to learn. Tank is working with his foster mom on house training and basic commands and is doing well.  He does really well sleeping in his crate.  As with all new pets, Tank will need time to adjust to his new life and family.  He is hoping to find a moderately active family who has time for play and time for snuggles.  We believe he will do well in just about any home.  He will need someone interested in continuing the basic training he missed out on as a very young pup but is now getting with his foster mom in an effort to make him the very best adult dog he can be - might that be you?     Applications can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/.  Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt, and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day.   Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  Please be advised that we will not approve adoptions to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on this application.  Incomplete applications will not be processed. He loves treats and toys, but ATTENTION above all. If you’re looking for a Velcro dog with a heart of gold, we’ve found your fella. He’s shy at first. He’ll take a minute to warm up to you, but once he’s comfortable your patience will have earned you a little shadow. He wants to be where you are, always.  He’s expressive; every thought he has ever had has been right there on his face. You can SEE him working through new challenges in his training, new experiences out in the world on a leash like an open, fuzzy book. Gray is playful!  He loves rope toys and a good game of tug-o-war!  He's good with other dogs - loves to run and chase.  He's active and busy and looking for a family to share that with.   Gray and his siblings have blossomed since first rescued.  The foster moms working with this crew have been dedicated and determined offering proper care, nutrition, structure, and basic training, and their dedication has paid off.  In fact, Gray has just completed a training program with one of our partners in Louisiana and did great.  Gray is a really good boy and he's learning the ways of life in a happy family environment.   As with all new pets Gray will need time to adjust to his  new family and new s urroundings.   He will also need someone interested in and able to continue his basic training in order to make him the best dog he can be.  Looking for a best friend, hiking buddy, walking buddy, who's energetic and playful - here's your guy!
