Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501c3 virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout Louisiana and the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption.  You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.    Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout the Northeast and in Louisiana to care for our animals until adoption.  You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.   Meet Gray - Gray is one of 9 pups who came to us from a situation where their family became overwhelmed and could no longer care for them.  Gray, his mom, and all his siblings joined our pack, were cared for by our veterinary team and prepared for life in a new, forever home.  According to his foster mom, Gray has been easy to please, loves toys and treats, is food motivated when in training, and loves the attention of his family.  Gray is a bit of a velcro dog, loves being with his people and can be a bit protective - nothing a little more training won't cure.    Gray is  shy at first. He will take a short period to warm up to you, but once he’s comfortable, your patience will have earned you a little shadow with a heart of gold.  You can tell by his eyes, Gray is very expressive; every thought he has ever had has been right there on his face. You can SEE him working through new challenges in his training, new experiences out in the world on a leash like an open, fuzzy book. Gray is playful!  He loves rope toys and a good game of tug-o-war!  He's good with other dogs - loves to run and chase.  He's active and busy and looking for a family to share that with.   Gray and his siblings have blossomed since first rescued.  The foster moms working with this crew have been dedicated and determined offering proper care, nutrition, structure, and basic training, and their dedication has paid off.  In fact, Gray has just completed a training program with one of our partners in Louisiana and did great.  Gray is a really good boy and he's learning the ways of life in a happy family environment.   As with all new pets Gray will need time to adjust to his  new family and new s urroundings.   He will also need someone interested in and able to continue his basic training in order to make him the best dog he can be.  Looking for a best friend, hiking buddy, walking buddy, who's energetic and playful - here's your guy!     Applications can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/.  Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt, and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day.   Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  Please be advised that we will not approve adoptions to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on this application.  Incomplete applications will not be processed. Tyson is an active boy - he does need to keep moving, play hard, then crash and snuggle.  Tyson's foster family says he's really quite sweet and would do well with a young family.  He is currently living with a 13 year-old and is so smitten with her, following her everywhere!   Tyson is good with other dogs and is agreeable to cats - however he does like a bit of a chase - not to harm, just to chase.  As with all new pets, Tyson will need time to adjust to a new family and surroundings.  We believe he will do well in an active family with time for outdoo r activities plus indoor downtime.  He will also need someone interested in continuing with the basic training he is getting now but missed out on as a very young pup in order to make him the best adult dog he can be.  The effort will be rewarded with love, devotion and compan ionship for a lifetime. Story
Hi friends, I’m TOBEY! I'm 10–12 months • 50 lbs and Certified Good Boy with the Floppiest Ears Around! I'm super sweet, happy, and lovable pup who is so excited to find my forever family. I adore people, love being included, and I’m always ready for fun, snuggles, or anything that makes my humans smile. I’m basically a walking ray of sunshine with floppy ears. A Little About Me: I’m playful, joyful, and full of love. Toys? Bones? YES PLEASE. And good news — I’m very food motivated, which means training with me will be fun, easy, and full of tail wags. With consistency and a few tasty treats, I’ll learn anything you want to teach me! I’m also making great progress with my house training, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come already. I do wonderfully in my crate, especially with something yummy to chew on. And riding in the car? I’m a total pro. My Dream Home • Awesome with kids 5+ who enjoy a playful buddy • Best with medium to large dogs who love to play • Would thrive in a home that enjoys time outdoors, play sessions, and togetherness • Probably not the best match for kitties • Mostly, I just want a family who loves me — because I have so much love to give back I’m a smart, affectionate boy who just wants to brighten someone’s life. If you’re looking for a loyal, happy companion who will adore you endlessly… that’s me! I can’t wait to meet you. Reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to get lots more info on me!

Story
Pudge is a special guy. He’s unfortunately blind in one eye and may be losing sight in the other. A crummy Texas shelter no place for this guy. He is a very well behaved and chill. Great with other dogs and people. I’m pretty sure kids too but I’m checking on that. Nothing bothers this guy , he adapts to everything. Fully vetted! Vaccinated, neutered, hw-. Pudge needs a break in the worst way. Please consider pudge, he’ll bring love into your home. BE A HERO!!
