Story
Inara has quite the story—she was rescued by a kind police officer after being caught in a trap in Alabama, and she’s been on a journey toward her happy ending ever since. New situations can make her a little shy at first, but with patience, gentle reassurance, and a calm approach, she opens up beautifully. Once she feels safe, Inara quickly becomes everyone’s friend and loves being part of the action. She walks well on leash and enjoys peaceful strolls where she can take in the world at her own pace. And those gorgeous tiger-striped markings? They give her a one-of-a-kind look—like she’s always dressed in designer stripes. Inara is searching for a stable, loving home that will give her the time and security she needs to truly shine. With the right family, she’ll reward you with loyalty, sweetness, and a very special bond.

He is now settling beautifully into his foster home. Alfie’s story is one of survival and second chances. This 3–4-year-old boxer mix was found as a stray and ended up in a kill shelter in Arkansas. Story
🐾 Meet Atlas – Our Longest-Waiting Adventurer 🐾 Atlas is a 4-year-old Catahoula mix who has been in the rescue program for almost 4 years, and we truly don’t understand how this incredible dog is still waiting for his forever home. Atlas is great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends. He is cat-friendly, but he can be a bit much for them since he always wants to play—so he’d do best in a cat-free home or one with a very tolerant, confident cat. This guy is active, athletic, and always ready for an adventure. Walks, outings, and staying busy are his jam, so he’ll need an active family who can keep up with his enthusiasm for life. Atlas does have some separation anxiety, but it is very manageable and continues to improve with routine and structure. And here’s the really cool part—Atlas has competed in THREE OneWorld Canine Biathlons and absolutely crushed it, even placing 2nd in one of his races! 🏅 This dog has both brains and brawn. 📍 Fostered in Huntsville, AL 🐶 Good with dogs 🐱 Cats with conditions 🏃 Adventure-ready & athletic Atlas has waited long enough. He’s loyal, driven, and ready to be someone’s best adventure buddy. If you’re looking for a dog who will truly be your partner in life, Atlas is your guy. 👉 Apply to adopt at www.forrescue.net Rescue: Friends of Rescue 💙
