Story
Sandi is a 7-year-old terrier mix that we adopted from Baja Dog Rescue in 2019. She is spayed, professionally trained, and very loyal to her people. She loves spending time outside, chasing lizards in the backyard, and these days is just as happy relaxing in the sun taking naps.Sandi is protective and territorial, so she does bark at strangers or activity around the house, but she responds well to her training and commands. She is great with other dogs but would do best in a home with adults or older children who understand dogs and boundaries. We want to be fully transparent that Sandi is anxious around small children. We believe she may have experienced abuse before we adopted her. She has shown aggressive behavior toward little kids in the past, although she has never bitten anyone. Because of this, we believe the safest and best fit for her would be a home without young children.

Story
Please help Lady, shelters are full and rescues I have contacted don’t take private surrenders leaving me no choice but euthanized her this Saturday.I adopted lady 18 months ago at a Humane Society nearby. She is three years old. She has been through a basic training course. She came to me with resource guarding and since has overcome food bowl and stranger aggression, and a long way with her dog aggression, we walked around the lake this morning with two other dogs. She is very smart, but she’s also stubborn at times, very food motivated and sweet. I need to rehome her because I have a seven year-old child that lives in the home who is deathly afraid of her and does not want to leave her room. It breaks my heart not being able to keep her, but it’s not fair to the child.
