Story
Brandy is a sweet and cuddly spayed female mutt that we adopted 6.5 years ago. She is 8 years old now, and a small/medium size at 20 pounds. We have loved her and she has loved us but our home is no longer a suitable place for her now that we have a small child who makes her nervous. She is a low maintenance dog who is healthy, house trained, loves pets and walks, and sleeps most of the day, but she does have anxiety and barks nervously around new people and new dogs (but has done well in boarding/doggy daycare situations). She cannot live with small children or cats. We are heartbroken that after a year, Brandy still has not taken to our baby. We are looking to find her a home where she will be loved, safe, comfortable, and happy.

Story
Meet Lady: a beautiful two-year-old soul with a resilient spirit. Lady wound up at her town's local animal shelter not once, not twice, but three times throughout her short little life. With each shelter stay, Lady's fate hung in the balance, her future uncertain. But five minutes before the world went dark for her, fate intervened! Lady's story is one of perseverance, a testament to the indomitable spirit that resides in rescue dogs. With each return to the shelter, Lady clung to the hope that one day, her forever family would come for her. But time stretched on, and as she watched her kennel companions find their homes, Lady's hope began to waver. She wondered if her family would ever come; if the love she longed to give would forever remain unclaimed. From Lady's perspective, the days blurred together, a montage of waiting and wondering. She yearned for the gentle touch of a hand, the warmth of a loving gaze, and the sound of a family's laughter. No matter how much doubt crept into her heart, she clung to the belief that somewhere out there, her family existed. She held onto that glimmer of hope, the flicker of a dream that refused to be extinguished. And then, in June of 2022, Lady's life took a turn for the better. "The Pitty Committee" whisked her away from the shelter, ensuring that she would never face the threat of euthanasia again. From that moment on, Lady found herself in the serene atmosphere of South Lake Tahoe, where she has flourished under the loving care of her wonderful Foster Mama, Hailey! But, although Lady is safe from a dreaded shelter environment, her journey remains incomplete. She still waits for her forever family to find her.

Lady is more than just a dog; she's a lake-loving adventurer, a spirited soul who thrives on the joys of nature. She yearns for an active family, who will embrace her love for swimming, running, and frolicking in the sun and snow. Lady's heart knows no bounds when it comes to people of all ages. She adores children, and her boundless energy makes her the perfect playmate. She's a fetch aficionado, and her dock-jumping skills are nothing short of astounding. But what sets Lady apart is her unwavering loyalty, her eagerness to please, and her ability to melt your heart with a single glance. This beautiful girl has come a long way since leaving the shelter. She's crate trained, muzzle trained, and she listens to commands with a heart full of eagerness to please. She's not just a dog; she's a testament to the power of love and resilience. A promise of boundless joy to the family that opens their heart to her. Don't let Lady's story remain incomplete. She's been waiting and hoping for quite some time; she deserves a forever family to call her own. We ask that you consider Lady as the missing piece in your life, the companion who will make every moment brighter, and the love that will fill your heart. Complete your life with a furry friend who knows the true meaning of hope, love, and the promise of a forever home. Lady is waiting, and her love is worth the journey. Don't let her wait any longer; make her a part of your family, and create a story of love and happiness that will last a lifetime. Adopt Lady, and change both your lives forever! ♥

Story
I adopted Lola at 8 weeks old from a woman who's dog had puppies. She's a 6 year old sweetheart who lives for walks, loves people, as well as other 'friendly' dogs. I don't know if she'll take a liking to cats, but she's a gentle soul that just wants to play and her favorite thing to do is bird watch. Lola requires monthly Librela injections to keep her happy and healthy, as she has early onset arthritis from slight ACL tears in her hind legs. She's not a dog to take on long hikes or go on jogs with, but she's active, enjoys being outside as often as possible and engaging with the world. Loud noises, banging sounds (fireworks, slamming doors) or young screaming children frighten Lola, so she requires a calm and peaceful environment to call home.

Story
Hello, this is Crouton! I have had Crouton with me for the past 7 months. In the past 7 months, I have seen this very shy and slightly reserved dog become a very affectionate dog at home. When first meeting new people Crouton is very anxious but with time, she does warm up to you and will stay by your side. Crouton thrives when she is around other dogs, she does not have much exposure to kids or cats. Crouton is up to date on all of her vaccinations, has current lab work and up to date heartworm tests. Crouton has a history of respiratory illness and has completed several courses of antibiotics; she continues to have a mild intermittent cough but is other healthy. Because of Croutons anxiety, I have recently started her on Reconcile, 24mg by mouth once daily. While Crouton might be timid when you first meet her once she has developed a bond she is the sweetest dog anyone could have.

Story
Bear is a cute shortie. He weights about 45 lbs. He is a friendly and energetic boy who loves to travel, walk, and snuggle with his family. He is ok with other dogs and with kids 5 years and above. He is potty trained, sleeps on his bed/crate, crate trained, walks well on a leash. Unfortunately, the couple who adopted Bear split apart and their new living arrangements do not allow either one to have pets. Bear in in foster care. He will be neutered and vaccines will be up to date. If you are a loving family who can accommodate this 1 year old boy a chance for a loving home, we would be greatly appreciative. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
