Maggie

Mutt American Pit Bull Terrier

Female, Adult
Bloomington, IN
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Maggie is a beautiful pit bull mix. Fantastic with adults and children. Very loving. Cuddly. Has been an emotional support to owner. House broken. Not destructive. Does not chew. Does not dig. Does not beg. Currently lives in a home with two other dogs. Plays with them and gets along with them well. She sometimes visits another home with dogs that she has become familiar with and plays with them well. She has shown aggression toward new dogs when they were introduced to her territory. She does require some patience to warm her up to new dogs. Have not tried warming her up to cats. Owner is moving and unable to take Maggie with him. This is very sad for us and we want to find her a loving adoptive family. Maggie prefers to sleep indoors and does not tolerate cold weather well. Does like to play outside. She is trainable and listens fairly well. Owner will provide a month supply of her food, dog bowls, toys, and bed to a loving family. Please help

Story
Paxton came from a family member who couldnt care for him. He is a very sweet boy and how I wish I could keep him. Unfortunately, he is not fond of my other dog. I have 2 other dogs, a small jack russel mix and a larger Australian shepherd mix. He is a perfect gentleman to my jack russel but has tried to go after the larger dog several times. It is causing a very stressful environment for all of the dogs and as much as this sucks, I don't believe it is in anyone's best interest for him to stay. That being said, i think it would be best for him to go to a home where he will be the only pet. He is so loving with me and loves to play tug. He knows how to sit, lay down, and give handshakes. Im not sure of his breed but I think he is a cockapoo mix. As you can see from his photo, he is an interesting looking character but cute all the same lol. He is very food and treat motivated. Now for a couple downfalls, he does bark quite a bit and pulls on the leash. He is small but mighty.

Story
Roman Around is a very good boy who was going to a shelter before we got him. We did not want him to go from country life straight to a city shelter. He almost never barks. He loves being with other dogs, or with a stay at home worker. He respects an electric fence collar. He is crate trained. He will chase cats and chickens. He gets along well with other dogs, big and small. Neutered. Huge cuddle bug, will lay with you on the couch, bed, or floor. He does not chew furniture, shoes, or anything that’s not his, or tear up toys. He is good with children. Walks well enough on a leash. Really he needs a place where he can have attention all day, whether it be from another dog, or from a person that works from home. All shots up to date. He will come with a large crate and food bowls and some toys.
