I rescued Lou when she was just four months old, and for almost ten years she has been such a special part of our family. She is incredibly smart, energetic, loving, and happiest soaking up the sunshine or cuddling with her favorite people.Lou thrived when it was just my husband and me. As our family has grown, we’ve realized she deserves a quieter home without young children. She has never bitten a child but is uncomfortable around little ones. She can be reactive toward other dogs, although she has enjoyed playing with my mom’s dog. She also resource guards food and toys.Lou has so much love to give and so much potential. We truly believe that with an experienced, patient owner, a consistent routine, and positive training, she could make wonderful progress and flourish. We love her more than words can express, and while this decision is heartbreaking, our greatest hope is to find the home where Lou can feel safe, understood, and live her happiest life.

FAITH is looking for her forever home!!She has been with a foster for several months and unfortunately her foster was not expecting to have her this long. She does not have time to give Faith the attention she needs and deserves. Male dogs likely okay, proper introduction necessary. In a house with cats, sometimes barks and might chase them but once she gets the appropriate exercise and stimulation I believe she'll do better around them. Happy go lucky, fun, playful girl. Loves love and attention ♡Rescued from Detroit. She is the sweetest once she knows you are a safe person, and she is starting to open up to new people and becoming more social. This is my father’s dog. He adopted her after his second wife passed. Unfortunately my father’s health has declined to the point that it’s very hard for him to keep up with her. He doesn’t have a fenced yard so she can’t just go out and run around. He has to take her out every time and this is too much for him. She needs to be the only dog in the house or go to someone with time to help her adjust. She’s very friendly with people. Never seen her with a cat. She doesn’t react to squirrels so a cat could be okay. She needs a yard to play in and to just be loved by a caring family

Zelda is a great girl who loves to snuggle and be active. We have a baby at home and she hasn't been the most receptive to him. She wants to be around people as much as possible but she shouldn't be around kids under the age of 10 as she treats them as a sibling and likes to play a bit too aggressively. She's a great dog but she needs more attention then we currently are able to give her.
