Story
This is Gibby! Gibby is a young (roughly 1 year old) stray who I found in a construction site after he was hit by a car. He had to have FHO surgery on his back leg due to injuries, but he has not let it slow him down. Unfortunately, I already have many of my own animals, and he needs a lot of exercise, continued training, and love. He loves the outdoors (swimming, hiking, playing fetch) and would do very well with an experienced owner who is somewhat familiar with positive reinforcement training. He plays constantly with both the large and small dogs in my house. He likes to chase the cat around, but I’m not sure the cat is a fan. He has not yet been around children, and may do best in a home without them. Gibby is full of energy and love and is ready for a forever home to love him back!

Story
Hestia is looking for her Forever home before she is taken to the shelter this evening. Hi! My name is Hestia, I was originally pulled from the euthanasia list from Mecklenburg County Animal Care 2 years ago, where the had named me Flap jack. I am 3 years old. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I need a new home or foster until I find a furever home. I have until this evening before I am taken to the pound and I am terrified of getting back on the euthanasia list because I have so much love to give. I get along with other dogs, haven’t been around cats much other than feral ones and I just like chasing them. I am fixed, crate trained, leash trained, and potty trained. All I need is a family that would give me a chance. I am the most loving baby and love snuggles and kisses. Please give me a chance or at least help me finding a foster until the people helping me can find the perfect home for me. God bless you.

Story
We’ve had Boots about 5 years after finding him on the side of the road. He’s always been a great companion and a good guard dog for the house. Boots loves to snuggle his favorite people. Unfortunately our newborn is severely allergic to Boots and we have no other options. We want him to go to a good home with people who will love him as much as we have.

Sammy is super sweet and snuggly. She loves to hug and sit on your lap. She plays well with other dogs. She’s energetic and very nice. We are moving into a small apartment and can’t take her with us. We think she is about nine months old, unsure of breed.

Story
I got Sailor over a year ago, when I was living in an apartment on my own. She was being rehomed by a young family with children who did not have the time to care for her. Since getting her, she has blossomed into a sweet, playful young girl. She does great with cats and most dogs. I've recently had to move home to my parents' house, where they have two dogs, a male and a female. Sailor and the female dog do not get along, as they are both trying to be the alpha female in the house. Sailor would do great in a house where she is the only female dog or only dog, period. She loves cats and often tries to play with them.

Story
Sweet Senior Dog Needs a Loving New HomeMeet Buck! This gentle 10-year-old, 25-lb mixed breed is looking for a new family to love. He's an indoor dog at heart but really lights up during outdoor time.Buck is fully housebroken and leash trained, and he gets along wonderfully with kids, other dogs, and cats. Don't let his age fool you — he's still active, affectionate, and always up for a game of fetch with his favorite tennis ball. We're relocating to a smaller home with very little yard space, and Buck deserves room to run and play, which we just won't be able to offer him anymore. Please note he is not neutered. If you think you could give Buck the home he deserves, please send a DM — my husband works third shift, so messaging here is the best way to reach us.
