Story
Remy was a stray dog that was pregnant and I took in a little over a year ago. She is a very sweet and loving dog who loves attention. Remy will chase small animals other than dogs and would do best in a home with no other pets. While Remy has made dog friends, she does appear aggressive towards other dogs until she gets to know them. Remy is also very protective over her family and tends to bark or growl at strangers. Remy does wonderful in the house when her family is home but if left alone she will have potty accidents and get into things. We love and adore Remy but as a single mother, I do not have time nor the outdoor space that Remy needs to get fully trained. She would do best with a fenced yard and would need to be leashed in unfenced yards. She is up to date on vaccines and flea treatment, the vet estimates that she is about 2/3 years old and a hound/pitt mix. By the way, she LOVES riding in the car and does excellent on trips.

Mutt

Male, Adult
Shelby, NC
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Rescued Chipper from Cleveland County animal shelter, along with another dog in September. At times, animals get along fine but Chipper seems to have some food aggression and potentially owner aggression toward the other dog. Not set up to handle two dogs that cannot coexist in same yard. With me, he is super sweet and I think could be a great pet for a one-animal household.

Mutt

Male, Young
Denver, NC
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Dingo is approximately 1.5 years old, full of energy and love. We found him after hurricane Helene with a broken back leg which had since been amputated. We have a dog in the home already and we aren’t able to keep Dingo. The dogs play together all day but since Dingo has come into our home our dog has started to have behavioral issues and this is why we are rehoming Dingo. Dingo deserves a family that can work with him and give him a lot of cuddles. He would thrive in a home where he can run around in a yard and be played with daily.
