Story
Rosie is a very calm and relaxed dog. She loves lounging around the house but will occasionally come up to get pets once she gets to know you. She can be shy at times but has a really sweet personality. Rosie enjoys going outside to lounge in the sun and lay around the house. She prefers being inside especially in the heat. Rosie would thrive in a quiet home where someone is looking for TV buddy or low maintenance dog. Rosie is crate trained and loves taking naps in her crate. I would definitely recommend one but if you are interested I can give you the crate she sleeps in now. Rosie is spayed and up to date on all of her vaccines. She is on no medication and is healthy. Rosie belonged to my mother when she was in a fatal car accident. I have been trying to take care of her but am in college full time, working at least 20 hours a week and do not feel like she is getting the care she needs. Please consider her in your search.

Story
Paisley is a high energy dog who enjoys pets and attention. She likes running around the house with a toy in her mouth and coming up with a wagging tail to get pets. Paisley would thrive in a house where someone wants a companion. She would do well with other dogs and older children. She would be a great house-dog for anyone wanting someone with them at the house. Paisley knows basic commands like sit and lay down. She is also well crate trained and enjoys being in her crate when there are loud noises like fireworks or gunshots because it makes her feel safe. She can come with her crate so no purchase necessary if you don't have one. Paisley spayed and up to date on all of her vaccines. She is overall very healthy. The only medication Paisley is on is 30 mg of fluoxetine once a day to manage her anxiety. The main reason I can no longer take care of her is because with college and work I do not have the time. She belonged to my mother before she very suddenly passed in a car accident.

Sadie

Mutt

Female, Puppy
Austin, TX
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Sadie is a 14 week old mixed breed. She loves to run and chase things, go on walks, chew on her toys (and sometimes shoes) and taking afternoon naps. She loves being around her humans but is also independent. She is energetic and still needs to learn some manners when meeting new people or other animals. We found Sadie when she was approximately 6-7 weeks old. She was too young to be chipped and no one responded to our posts about a lost puppy. We were hoping to keep her, however, our 16 year old cat has not taken to her like we have. Sadie is not aggressive with the cat, just hyper and excitable. Sadie needs more time training than we are able to currently offer. Sadie would probably benefit from a home with an older dog to teach her the ropes. A home with young children is probably not ideal as she is still a nippy puppy. She is current on all vaccines and meds. Sadie is still a VERY young puppy that will need a lot of love and some training. Intact due to age.

Story
Sweet & Loyal Companion Seeking Forever Home (Austin, TX) Meet Kimchi, a 65lb, 3-year-old spayed mutt adopted from AAC in 2022. She is the ultimate "people dog"—bright, affectionate, and happiest right by your side. Her energy is moderate; she loves daily walks but is a professional cuddler once indoors. Training & Health: Kimchi is fully house and crate trained. She is healthy, up-to-date on all vaccines, and has moved past some previous UTI issues. Her Needs: Kimchi is reactive toward other dogs and has a history of biting when overwhelmed. She has completed professional training and made great progress, but she needs a responsible owner who understands her boundaries. She is great with kids but must be the only dog (or require very slow, structured intros). She is a wonderful, smart girl who just needs a calm, loving environment to thrive.

Story
Otis is a incredible dog. We adopted Otis at 2 years old from a shelter while we were living in New Mexico. He is now seven years old, with the same fun spirit just a bit more grey around his muzzle. Hes resiliant and strong, but caring and fun to be with. He is world class protector - we used to live in an area with more crime, and I beleive Otis helped prevent anything from happening to our family or property. We recently moved to the Austin area several months ago, and the home we're in now does not have easy access for him to go outside. We've also had a second child recently, so between working and the kids, we are not able to give Otis the amount of attention we would like to. Our hope is to find a new home for him where he can be cared for and loved. We're very thankful for the years we've had Otis in our life, he will always be a part of our family, and we hope by re-homing him he can spend the rest of his life with a family that feels the same.
