Story
Lara is a loving dog with a big heart. She loves to sit and just relax with the family. She also really likes being in the garden and smelling all the plants. Lara is protective but not aggressive, and is always looking for someone she can take care of. She wasn't socialized properly young and despite that is good with most kids (toddlers are iffy) and every cat shes met. She does not like other dogs so far, although most of the ones she's met were younger and annoyed her. She was obese when we got her, shes still on her weight loss journey, but is able to move freely and even be active now! She needs a surgery on her back that due to several unfortunate events we cannot afford. Shes been limping on her right hind leg for a couple months now. A lot of that time was spent waiting on care that we never received, and now can't afford. Shes been a wonderful dog and if it was in her best interests we'd be keeping her. If you want a best friend that will never leave you, Lara's your girl!

Story
Benny is a sweet boy. My mother adopted him from a shelter just over a year ago. His previous owner passed away and sadly so did my mother. My brother was supposed to take him but circumstances have changed. He needs love and attention I just can't give him especially in my grief. He just needs someone who will love him and give him the care he needs in his grief as well. He chases cats I have no clue if he'd hurt one

Story
This protective dog was left at a house, taken care of for a few years, but can no longer be, due to a very quick move. He has shown aggressive behavior to those he deems a danger to his “house” or “person.” He desperately needs a home as soon as possible! Someone who can love on him and take him for a walk!

Story
We adopted Saturn from The Linda Mcnatt shelter in denton. She is extremely friendly with people and LOVES to cuddle. We need to re home her because she does not get along with my two other dogs who are alot smaller than her (teacup pom & mini schnauzer) she has gotten into fights with them too many times and we unfortunately do not have the time to properly train her to get along with them. If someone is willing to take her they will get everything we have (a crate, food bowls, leash and collar). She is crate trained and house trained. She listens very well and will even wait for you to tell her to eat before eating. She is very well behaved but just needs to be supervised when around other dogs

Story
8 yrs old. I adopted Amber from a shelter in 2017 and she has been one of the best friends a person could have. I added her to my family of two other dogs and learned right away that Amber is food aggressive with other dogs. I adjusted our feeding routine to be sure this was no longer an issue. Amber and my other two dogs have now been best friends for years. Now that I’ve had two babies it has become difficult to control when food gets dropped on the ground and the chance of an altercation is too high. I cannot put my toddlers at risk of this. That is my reason for rehoming Amber. She has been a true best friend. Shes beautiful, strong, goofy, and so so loving. She truly LOVES people. I cant speak highly enough of her. She is completely up to date on all vaccinations and she is perfectly healthy. I dream of Amber getting all the love and affection she deserves from a family that can give her more time and affection than I will be able to now that I’m caring for two small children.

Story
Navi is a sweet dog that loves her humans and is tolerant of other dogs and cats. We found her in the New Mexico dessert wandering around near the Navajo reservation while on a road trip from Seattle, WA back to our home in the Dallas Fort-Worth area. Hence her name "Navi"...short for Navajo. She was in a pretty horrible overall state. Ribcage was showing, she was really dirty and had all kind of fleas and ticks on her. Moreover, she was on high alert at all times. Everything and anything triggered her alert state, from sounds to drastic movements. What we found interesting, however, is that she became extremely docile the minute we came to the rescue. She let herself be handled, picked up, etc. without hesitation, as though she was ready to be helped and fully adopted. And while we tried to do our best fostering her for several months, we are at a point where we would like to try to have a family, and we feel like she needs a forever home that will tend to her energy levels.
