Story
Honey came from a Newfie breeder that had a female get out of the yard while in heat for about 30 minutes. She bred her to another Newfie but when the pups were born something wasn't right. She DNA tested her and she has golden retriever and bloodhound in her as well as newfie. So she turned to us for help placing them in loving homes. There are 4 girls and one boy still available and they were born on Feb 19. Honey has the most perfect eyes! She’s a lighter brown and certainly is a poser. She can be prissy but she can also play hard! She also loves the water. If you are looking for a gentle giant that loves affection and water, Honey is your girl. Honey is UTD on all required vaccines and is microchipped. Story
Introducing Tobias, a Sweet and Sensitive 2 Year Old 35 lb Mini Bernedoodle who just might teach you the true meaning of life: that happiness isn’t found in the grand moments, but in the courage it takes to embrace the small ones. Toby is not the dog who will rush into your arms on day one. For the first two years of Toby’s life while living in a commercial breeding facility, he had very few opportunities to learn that people can be trusted. Then Zoe's House Rescue stepped in, and Toby's next chapter began. Because Toby never learned that people could be a source of comfort, everything felt overwhelming. Keeping his distance felt safer than seeking attention. But slowly, Toby has been quietly changing. Toby's progress isn't measured in giant leaps. It's measured in quiet victories that are easy to miss unless you're paying attention. You may catch a gentle tail wag. Toby happily accepts treats, though he still prefers a little personal space while enjoying them. And boy, does he love running with the pack when they think they'll be catching neighborhood squirrels and rabbits! Most importantly, he is learning to realize that some people can be trusted, especially his foster mom. Living with Toby means learning to celebrate the small things. One day, you’ll notice he’s chosen to settle a little closer than usual. Another day you’ll realize he’s watching you with curiosity instead of uncertainty. You will sense that he wants you to pick him up to cuddle, but he just doesn’t have the confidence to jump up on your lap. The leash was once terrifying but now pack walks are on the agenda! The milestones with Toby aren't loud. They sneak up on you and somehow end up meaning everything. Toby is a smart sensitive boy who benefits from routine, enrichment, exercise and gentle quiet encouragement. He needs a family that understands trust is something earned, not demanded. He isn't looking to hide from the world anymore. He is looking for patient people who will help him continue discovering it. Toby’s MUST HAVES in his new home: • A securely fenced yard • While he has grown comfortable around dogs, he seems most drawn to calm companions who won’t overwhelm him. A smaller or similarly tempered dog may be an especially good fit. • Toby can be crated but would prefer a smaller area where he has a little more freedom to relax and make choices on his own. • Adult only home preferred. Because Toby’s journey is still unfolding, his adopters must be willing to continue working with his trainer and understand that building trust will be a gradual process. This will not be a quick transition, and Toby is not searching for a family expecting instant results. He is searching for people willing to invest in the relationship and celebrate the small victories that eventually become life-changing ones. The greatest reward with Toby isn’t teaching him something new. It’s being present when he decides, on his own, that he’s ready for the next chapter. If you’re willing to slow down, observe, learn, and find beauty in the smallest of breakthroughs, Tobias would love to meet you. His story is still being written, and he is looking for someone special to help write the happy ending he is so deserving of.
