Story
KENNEL ID #01658&#226&#128&#139 Meet Timmy! Timmy has come a very long way in the past 9 months, he just needed someone to work with him on his confidence and socialization. He is currently in doggy daycare and training and has made some impressive improvements. He is a gentle giant who is shy at first but will immediately be your friend if you give him a few minutes and some treats. He absolutley loves his lady dog friends and would be suitable with respectful kids. All around Timmy has proved that he is an amazing pup looking to run on someone's large property, go on hikes and walks and be active. He went from being abandoned, starved and unsocialized to being a big love bug who wants to climb in your lap. Will you give Timmy a chance? Please submit an application to adopt Timmy via our website www.ddpets.com. *If you are applying and have a male dog, this would not be best fit for Timmy or his brother Marius* Thank you for your interest in rescue. If you would like to be considered for adoption please submit an application to adopt. APPLICATION TO ADOPT: https://form.jotform.com/240606049335150      If you have any questions regarding the adoption process please email:  dianespets1486@gmail.com April 16, 2024, 1:24 pm

Story
KENNEL ID #01658&#226&#128&#139 Marius is a cross between two livestock guardian breeds. Marius and his sibling's owners decided a vacation was more important than caring for their 8 dogs. Marius has not been socialized very much and takes a while to warm up to you.  He is already a fantastic watch dog. He absolutely loves being outside and keeping an eye on things. He did come from a working farm so he needs an experienced owner that has prior experience with dogs that missed out on early socialization. He is affectionate to the staff that he knows, but it does take some effort on their part to win him over. This is pretty typical for guardian breeds. He will do best in a home without small children who may not understand that he needs some space and time to feel comfortable.  Marius deserves a chance at having a happy home. He just needs the right happy home. He is not an apartment or condo dog. He simply would not do well in a situation where there is a lot of commotion or new people. He would love hanging out with his besties and getting all of their attention all day. Thank you for your interest in rescue. If you would like to be considered for adoption please submit an application to adopt. APPLICATION TO ADOPT: https://form.jotform.com/240606049335150      If you have any questions regarding the adoption process please email:  dianespets1486@gmail.com April 16, 2024, 1:24 pm

Meet Chelsea: A Resilient Great Pyrenees with a Gentle Spirit! Breed: Great Pyrenees   Estimated DOB: 03/01/2023   Sex: Female - Spayed   Weight: 45-50 lbs   *BREED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO ADOPT* Things To Know About Chelsea: - Chelsea is a purebred Great Pyrenees, as confirmed by an Embark DNA test, and she embodies all the charming traits of her breed.- Her Story: In May 2023, at just 3 months old, Chelsea was dumped at a Mississippi shelter by being callously shoved under the fence. Despite the severe hardships she faced, including a spinal malformation and being congenitally blind in one eye, Chelsea's gentle demeanor never wavered. Her extensive medical journey included numerous vet visits, tests, and a crucial surgery to enhance her quality of life. Dr. Rosen, Chelsea's neurologist at VRC, emphasized that a radical stabilization surgery was essential for her to experience a pain-free and improved quality of life. Read more about this on our website: TLCrescuePA.com/BarkingBack- Personality: Chelsea is an absolute sweetheart, embodying the charming traits of her breed with a Pyr-like goofiness that brightens everyone’s day.- Social Behavior: While she can be aloof at first, Chelsea enjoys meeting new people and is great with kids of all ages, often visiting schools.- Activity Level: Her energy levels are low to medium. She enjoys playful times with her toys and self-entertaining antics.- Outdoor Preferences: True to her breed, Chelsea loves being outdoors in any weather.- Training: She is progressing well with leash training, though she shows typical Pyrenees stubbornness at times.- Night Routine: Chelsea enjoys peaceful nights in her cozy, gated space, with the soothing hum of her sound machine helping her sleep soundly.- Good with Dogs: Dog-friendly, she loves playing with other dogs and lives happily with multiple canine companions.- Good with Cats and Other Animals: Cat-friendly and even pig-friendly, coexisting peacefully with the family cat and pet pigs.- Ideal Home: Chelsea is looking for a forever home that can provide the love, care, and understanding she deserves, ideally with someone experienced in managing her breed's needs. Story
My name is Chachi and I am a very handsome and loving Great Pyrenees boy that is 18 months old and only 98 pounds.  I am big but NOT HUGE!   You see me smiling?Well, I do this all the time because I am a happy dog and I want people to know that I am very friendly and ready to be petted.   I really do like all people and all dogs that I meet.  I really, really love children too!   They say that my breed requires a fenced yard and I have to say that is a really good idea.  I like spending time outside and you really don’t want to have to sit and watch me for safety reasons if you don’t have a secured fence.   So…. if you have a physical fenced yard then Critter Cavalry Rescue would like to speak with you.  I think that if you love BIG dogs that I am a rather handsome dude to consider.  Mud puddles might NOT be my friend but big snow falls and deep banks would make me really happy!  I could stay clean very easily.   I am almost housebroken, and crate trained.    I would like to be your inside cuddle/lovebug and maybe help you start the new year off to a nice white fluffy start!  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com ASAP and ask all the questions you want about filling out an adoption form.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 16, 2024, 6:34 pm

Story
My name is Ocean and I am a 4 year old Great Pyrenees mix girl that is on the smaller side of 70 pounds and I love being outdoors.   I am looking for a home with some land to run on and a family  that will let me be inside as well as outside.  I am housebroken, great with children and dogs and good on a leash.   If I want out of a chain link yard, I will make sure I find a way out.  The only fence that would completely keep me contained is a privacy fence or a six foot iron fence that I cannot climb.  I just being a free spirit and so I could see myself living in the Northeast especially where it is cold and maybe out in the country or woods where I can explore but willing to always come home. I am truly a loving and sweet girl that  you will never regret loving or adopting.  My current family adores me but their yard is small and I need more room to run and enjoy my Great Pyrenees habits of being an outdoorsy kind of breed.   If you are interested then please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   I am ready to find my final family to love with all my pretty and pure heart. April 16, 2024, 6:34 pm
