Story
Leia is a beautiful high energy 14 month old. She is a Great Pyrenees who is very affectionate. She likes giving hugs to humans and canines alike. She will ask anything to play with her and needs an active home to keep her stimulated. If a toy does not catch her fancy she plays with rocks. She just LOVES to play! She has a few down sides so a tidy house is a must. She loves to steal under garments and shoes are a favorite item to chew. She needs to be kept busy or she will find something new to test with her teeth and paws. Shes your typical working dog young adult! She plays outside in any weather. She sadly was not allowed to be a puppy and now at the age of 14 months old, she is making up for lost time. She is currently fostered with cats and does fine. She is crate trained and spends each night in her crate on a soft dog bed. We don't recommend small children as she loves to jump up and needs manners. She does need a fenced in yard or an active home with will help her expend her energy. She would do best as the only female dog in the home but should be fine with a male or as an only dog. She will be an amazing addition to a family that will help her continue to learn manners. For an application please visit Www.zoeshouserescue.com

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Please say hello to Reginald (aka Reggie). This one year-old Great Pyrenees mix that came to us from Alabama from a not-so-great background but absolutely flourished once he entered our foster's home. He was very scared in the shelter and we were told that he may have been beaten by his previous owner. REGGIE is a gentle soul, affectionate (likes hugs but not a licker) and loves to snuggle! Since leaving the shelter environment, REGGIE doesn't like long periods of time in the crate and will let you know when he has had enough. REGGIE is housebroken and is still learning how to properly walk on a leash. The only time he has pulled on the leash was around farm animals - he wanted to join the goats and the horses! REGGIE can be a big goofball and adores showing off his "sticks" (or branches) that he finds outside. REGGIE is good with other dogs of different sizes and ages and is in a home with a toddler. Reggie will need a dog savvy, patient home that will give him a little time to adjust. He is certainly well worth the time and will bond to his family. He is now neutered,  up to date with vaccines and microchipped.  He did test negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $300.00.If you would like to meet REGINALD, please visit our website www.LHARinc.org,  go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application.  ##1714467##

Story
Nola is beautiful white angel that is a young 1 year old that only weighs 70 pounds. This Great Pyrenees mix girl is totally healthy and has the biggest brown eyes and a wonderfully calm personality.  Easy going comes to mind as we watch this girl move through the farm yard at her foster home.  She was found at an Alabama gas station where people who worked there said she had been begging for food in the parking area for 3 days.   Foster mom Cissie, brought her home to her small farm and did social media and advertising on Lost and found sites.  The owner contacted Cissie but said he did not want her back, so this girl immediately became a Critter Cavalry Rescue girl.  She fit in immediately with all of Cissie’s dogs and there are quite a few too!  Nola most enjoys long walks on the farm and romping and playing with everyone there! She is curious of the cat but doesn’t bother him and Nola is good with the horses and donkeys,  but does bark at the pig.  Nola is good on a leash and in the house with kids and dogs.  Her favorite things are getting hugs and going for car rides!!!!   This gentle soul is ready for a lifetime commitment from someone with fenced containment and time, love and attention to give her.  She must be an inside and outside dog.   We do not want her to live outside as only a working dog.  If you are interested please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com \PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 7, 2023, 9:44 am

Story
Juneau is a 2.5 year old Great Pyrenees mix (bday 9/02/20) weighing around 65 pounds. He is a very snuggly boy who will sit on the couch with you to watch TV or take a nap. He currently has two cat siblings who aren't huge fans of him, but he would love to play with them if they would. He's very mild mannered, however he does get into garbage if it is not in a can with a lid on it, and isn't the best leash walker. Juneau is a very social dog who loves people and animals, but has a ferocious bark when he sees someone new (once you let him smell the person, though, he's their new best friend). He is a great family dog and loves having friends to play with. Lots of shedding comes with him, but his snuggles and sweet little ways he shows affection are absolutely worth it. If you are interested in adopting him, please submit at application at www.goofyfootrescue.org

Story
Freddy is a GORGEOUS 55 pound, 7-month-old great pyr mix. This guy didn’t have the best start to life, but he’s learning that life is good and fun! He absolutely LOVES playing with the other dogs in his foster home.He uses the dog door like a pro. Freddy still likes to chew like a pup, so watch your shoes or he’ll have them as a snack. Freddy is still a bit skittish with new people, but if you have patience and treats, you will win him over in no time. He will truly be your best friend. Freddy has had NO leash training, so that is something you would need to work on with him. A fenced in yard is highly preferred. If you are interested in giving this gentle teenage pup a home, it would make Freddy’s day! He’s been waiting patiently for the right family to come along. Applications can be found at www.goofyfootrescue.org.

Story
How you doin? My name is Tribiani. I'm a 2-year-old female Bernadoodle who weighs 43lbs. I came to the rescue when I was retired from a commercial breeder and am looking forward to transitioning to a loving home. I was groomed while in my foster home and have a very soft coat. Regular grooming should continue for me, which would be about every 8 weeks, so I can maintain a soft, mat-free coat. While in foster care, Tribiani learned to walk on smooth surfaces, such as kitchen and dining room flooring, and how to go up and down the stairs and eat from a dish on the floor. She is food motivated and a quick learner. She is shy around new people and continues to work on making new human friends. She would prefer a home with older children or no children. Tribiani is crate trained and house broken and walks well on a leash. She does have some separation anxiety, which is managed with daily exercise. Her activity level is moderate. The more exercise she gets, the less anxiety she has. She enjoys walking 2-3 times a day and will rest quietly when her family is at home with her. She enjoys going on car rides. She's most comfortable when spending time with her humans. Each evening, she sleeps on the floor next to her foster mom's bed either in her dog bed or on the floor. A fenced yard is required for her to run in between walks. She will use the bathroom on a leash. She does well with other dogs, and currently lives with 2 small dogs in her foster home. Tribiani would do best having another dog in her new home to spend time with when her family is away. Tribiani is most comfortable when she's in the company of her family members. She craves attention from her humans and will lay near you on the floor in her dog bed and rest when watching TV. Regression may occur and is common for dogs when transitioning to a new home. She was spayed, had her teeth cleaned and is up to date on her vaccinations.
