Except chickens!   HISTORY : Max (FKA Cottontail) was the biggest pup in Bunny’s litter and was raised using the Puppy Protocol with proper socialization. He was adopted by a wonderful family with other dogs, cats, kids and a farmette with chickens. He went to an office with the owners every day and enjoyed time with visitors between naps. Max enjoyed playtime until he met the few chickens that he could catch and play a bit rough with. The adopters thought it best to return him to us to find him another home.      PERSONALITY : Max is friendly, laid back, curious, brave and loving. He is very food motivated so he would be easy to train for any advanced tasks. He knows sit, paw, come (in his own time). He goes to a dog friendly office every day and is not reactive, sleeps, greets with a tail wag and is learning not to jump up and hug new friends.  FAVORITE ACTIVITIES : Meeting new friends, chewing all types of gullet sticks, antlers, kong, filled bones, treats and surgically removing squeakers from stuffies between naps.   MEDICAL ISSUES : NONE. Up to date on all vaccines.  Neutered, rear deux claws removed. Max has been exposed to all types of proteins with no issues. Like most dogs, consistent food keep his tummy happy.  He eats 2x per day. He is not a picky eater.  WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME : He would be best around his people and another dog. He has manners and is a gentleman but still needs some structure and guidance. He is still a puppy but a mature one. He would love to be active and have a job to do. Boredom is his nemesis. He enjoys a schedule and his naps. He loves riding In the car so would be a fabulous travel companion. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS : Max just had a first visit to the groomer and did well. Not a fan of the noises of the dryer or the cremel on his nails but, he would get used to it with more experience. He is shedding a bit now in the spring but has not been a big shedder like his Pyrenees momma.   Meet Lady Anne, a stunning 4-year-old Great Pyrenees whose story is one of resilience, devotion, and unconditional love.   When it came time to give birth, Lady Anne did what any devoted mother would do—she searched for a place she believed would keep her babies safe. She chose a quiet spot beneath a shed, only for that refuge to become anything but safe. Thankfully, a compassionate neighbor recognized the danger and reached out for help. Critter Cavalry stepped in just in time, giving Lady Anne and her nine newborn puppies the second chance they so desperately needed.   Placed with an experienced foster family, Lady Anne slowly learned that she and her puppies were finally safe. At first, she was understandably protective, but with patience and kindness she allowed her foster family to help her. Beneath her thick coat were painful mats, ticks, and fleas, and she needed a gentle grooming and a trimmed belly so her puppies could nurse comfortably. Through it all, her only concern was her babies.   For seven weeks, Lady Anne rarely left their side. As the puppies grew, she would ask to step out of their pen, only to lie beside the fence, faithfully watching over them. Day and night, she stood guard, making sure every puppy was safe. Even after they were weaned, she continued her watch. It wasn't until each puppy had gone to a loving home and the pen stood empty that Lady Anne finally walked into the air-conditioned house, curled up, and truly rested.   Her watch was finally over.   But Great Pyrenees are born with a purpose, and Lady Anne simply found a new one. She now happily patrols the fence lines, checking on the livestock with quiet confidence before making her rounds to visit the very dogs she once chased away from her puppies. Today, they're all friends.   Lady Anne can be a little reserved when meeting new people, taking her time to decide who she can trust. Once she knows your intentions are kind, however, she gives you her whole heart. She'll greet you with joyful full-body wiggles, lean into your affection, and 'talk' to you in her soft, gentle Pyrenees whines that seem to say just how happy she is to be by your side. She is cat-friendly, easygoing, gentle, and deeply loyal—the kind of dog who doesn't just become a pet but a steadfast companion. Lady Anne has already proven what an incredible guardian she is. Scout is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish him as a family member. He is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want his transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!). Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Scout can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life, in the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Scout is never without a safety net; he will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until his perfect home is found. About Scout Scout is a typical 6-month-old puppy (August 5) who is ready to find his perfect forever family! Believed to be a wonderful mix of Great Pyrenees and Australian Shepherd, he is currently a handsome 20-pound package of pure puppy joy. Personality: A typical, happy pup who absolutely loves people. Meet Willa! 🐾 Willa is a 5-year-old, 25-pound Mini Bernedoodle with the sweetest personality you could ask for! Willa is looking for a special home with a family who has previous rescue experience, where she can truly thrive. She came to us from a commercial breeder and was previously adopted, but it simply wasn't the right fit for everyone. Now she's hoping to find her forever family. Willa doesn't ask for much, but she does have one important requirement: she must be allowed on the furniture! She is the definition of a couch potato and loves nothing more than curling up beside you, resting her head in your lap while you relax together. However, she loves going on walks! She does well on a leash and looks forward to her walks so she can sniff out the world she travels well in a car tooo She is an excellent house guest. Willa is house-trained, although we always say regression is common in new environments, ignores cats, gets along well with her Golden Retriever sister, and settles nicely in her crate (even if it isn't her favorite place). Her ideal home is a calm environment We do feel it would be best for children to be 12 and over so they can understand how to be respectful of Willa until she feels comfortable. Because Willa is quite the little escape artist, her future family will need to take extra precautions. She should always wear a GPS tracker or similar device, and her home should have secure barriers or a reliable system to prevent her from slipping out the door. Hi hooman! My name is Nilla! Like Nilla Wafers… because I’m sweet, tiny, and apparently made of approximately 11 pounds of fluff and feelings. I’m a 5-month-old merle Mini Bernedoodle, and I have an important announcement: I am a VERY good puppy. I am just… currently experiencing some technical difficulties with confidence… but I’m getting there!! When I first got to my foster home, I was pretty sure humans were suspicious. Like, “Hmmmm… you seem nice, but I’m going to need approximately 60 business days to think about this.” 👀 I didn’t trust people much at all, but my foster family has been teaching me that humans can be safe and kind. And guess what?! I’m starting to believe them! I’m slowly learning to trust the people I live with, and I’m even getting braver around visitors. My foster brother is my FAVORITE. He’s basically my personal canine life coach. He shows me what to do, where to go, and how to be a dog. I definitely need a confident, friendly dog sibling in my forever home because having a doggy buddy makes me feel SO much braver. Kids? I think older, dog-friendly kids could be great! But they’ll need to understand that I’m a little nervous and sometimes need some space. Now, let’s discuss my greatest nemesis: THE LEASH. I do not understand it. It touches me. It follows me. It expects me to WALK. Absolutely outrageous. 😳 I’m working on it, but leashes still make me pretty nervous. A securely fenced yard would be AMAZING because then I can run, zoom, sniff, play, and generally conduct important puppy business without being attached to the scary string thing. I’m already microchipped, spayed, and up to date on all my preventatives, so I’ve checked all the responsible-puppy boxes. Underneath these nerves is a sweet little puppy who REALLY wants to figure out this whole “being a dog” thing. I’m just going to need a little help, and maybe a confident dog sibling, and snacks…definitely snacks. Oh—and I should mention: I absolutely love a nice soft couch. It is my favorite invention of all time. I will happily curl up, get cozy, and supervise your life from maximum comfort.
