Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Ninja! Ninja is a 1.5-year-old, 75 lb Newfoundland/Border Collie mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This big, fluffy boy is equal parts lovable goofball and loyal companion, with a personality that’s guaranteed to make you smile—especially when he’s walking around with his tongue hanging out and his trademark goofy grin! Ninja is sweet, affectionate, and forms strong bonds with his people. He enjoys spending time with his people and underneath all that fluff is a sensitive, intelligent dog who is still learning about the world and looking for someone willing to help guide him. As you might expect from a dog of his size, Ninja is strong and will need an adopter who can comfortably handle a large dog. He would benefit from continued training and basic obedience work to help him build confidence and develop good manners. He’s eager to connect with his people and will thrive with consistent structure and guidance. Ninja can do well with other dogs but prefers slower introductions and generally gets along best with calmer, more laid-back canine companions. He’s still figuring out how to play appropriately and can become vocal, growly, or reactive on leash when he gets overstimulated or excited. Because of this, we’re looking for a confident, experienced handler who can help him continue building social skills and navigate the world successfully. He could potentially live with another well-matched dog, but he could also thrive as an only dog provided he receives continued socialization and plenty of engagement with his people. Due to his size, energy, and training needs, Ninja is looking for a standalone home with a securely fenced yard. Apartments and condos are not a good fit for him. He would likely be happiest in a quieter area outside the hustle and bustle of busy city life where he can relax, decompress, and enjoy a little more space. As a long-coated breed mix, Ninja will also need a family committed to keeping up with regular grooming and coat maintenance to keep him looking and feeling his best. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, fluffy best friend with a goofy personality and lots of potential, Ninja might just be your perfect match! Ninja is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Koda! He is one of our long-timers and has been waiting with us for 3 years for his forever family! ❤️ He is a very smart, goofy and athletic 70lb, ~4 year-old pup with lots of playful energy. He loves to play fetch so he definitely is a Retriever mix - he looks like a large, black golden Retriever mix - but also has strong guard-dog characteristics and is part Newfoundland. He's not a herder or chaser - he does not seem interested in running off, or chasing bunnies, squirrels or bikes, though cats are afraid of him (and probably should be). He knows basic commands (sit, down, wait, stay, leave it, come, play, ball, food, etc) and learns new things incredibly fast. He loves playing with dogs, but plays quite physically vs chasing them. Koda is happiest when playing ball or when in close proximity of his one 'person'. He's loving and affectionate with 'his person' but being part of a busy family where people are coming and going is challenging for him. He will do best with a single, experienced dog owner, who has the physical space (aka yard/rural vs a townhome in a city), time, patience and energy to work with him. Koda will benefit from structure, stability and exercise - He loves to play and learns very fast. Koda is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Rosa! Rosa is an almost 2-year-old, 60 lb Pyrenees mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA and is ready for a fresh start! True to her Pyrenees roots, Rosa is sweet, gentle, and a bit in her own world at times. She enjoys going on walks and adventures with her people, walks well on leash, and is treat-motivated. She has a gorgeous, big fluffy coat with striking silver along her back that makes her stand out just as much as her calm presence. Rosa is currently dealing with some leash reactivity, which we believe is largely due to stress from the kennel environment. She will need slow, thoughtful introductions to other dogs, time to decompress, and a consistent routine to help her feel safe and settled. A home with a yard and a quieter, more predictable lifestyle would be ideal for her. She would also do best in a home without cats I could potentially do okay with children 12+. With patience, structure, and a calm environment, Rosa has all the makings of a wonderful, loyal companion. She’s looking for a home that understands her needs and will give her the peaceful life she deserves. Rosa is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Odin! Odin is a handsome 2.5-year-old Great Pyrenees weighing approximately 80 pounds. He came into our care as an owner surrender when his previous owner was no longer able to care for him. This sweet boy loves being close to his people and would thrive in a home where someone is around often to spend time with him. Odin would also love a securely fenced yard where he can explore, patrol, and enjoy the outdoors at his own pace. A quiet suburban or rural setting would be ideal - apartment living or a busy city environment would not be a good fit for him. Odin is hearing impaired, which means he can become startled and lash out if approached unexpectedly. Because of this, he will need a confident adopter who understands his needs and is willing to help him adjust safely as he learns his new home, routine, and family. An adult-only home with is required to ensure everyone, including Odin, is set up for success. He would do best in a quieter household without a lot of people coming and going, allowing him to feel secure and build trust with his family at his own pace. Odin has done well with other dogs while in our care and would enjoy having a canine companion. However, he could also be happy as the only dog in the home soaking up all of the love and attention. Odin is looking for a patient, understanding family who will appreciate his loyal nature and give him the stability he deserves. If you're looking for a devoted companion and have the right home for this special boy, Odin would love to meet you. Odin is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.
