FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Koda! He is one of our long-timers and has been waiting with us for 3 years for his forever family! ❤️ He is a very smart, goofy and athletic 70lb, ~4 year-old pup with lots of playful energy. He loves to play fetch so he definitely is a Retriever mix - he looks like a large, black golden Retriever mix - but also has strong guard-dog characteristics and is part Newfoundland. He's not a herder or chaser - he does not seem interested in running off, or chasing bunnies, squirrels or bikes, though cats are afraid of him (and probably should be). He knows basic commands (sit, down, wait, stay, leave it, come, play, ball, food, etc) and learns new things incredibly fast. He loves playing with dogs, but plays quite physically vs chasing them. Koda is happiest when playing ball or when in close proximity of his one 'person'. He's loving and affectionate with 'his person' but being part of a busy family where people are coming and going is challenging for him. He will do best with a single, experienced dog owner, who has the physical space (aka yard/rural vs a townhome in a city), time, patience and energy to work with him. Koda will benefit from structure, stability and exercise - He loves to play and learns very fast. Koda is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
I have an interesting dog that I need to be rehome. Relocating this week. Woodrow is a 4 year old, 130# Malamute/Newfoundland, neutered and gastropexy. Shots are due in July. He is the sweetest guy and puts his head into your hands, he leans on you for love. He is currently guarding large breed goats. He will walk on leash / responds well to correction collar, knows tricks. Great around people , strangers, children over 5 because he is so big. He will let me cut his nails on my own. He will play with toys and do a little fetch. He’s particular about new dogs due to guarding the goats from the neighbors dogs. But I have integrated another with him before and it went well. Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Rosa! Rosa is an almost 2-year-old, 60 lb Pyrenees mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA and is ready for a fresh start! True to her Pyrenees roots, Rosa is sweet, gentle, and a bit in her own world at times. She enjoys going on walks and adventures with her people, walks well on leash, and is treat-motivated. She has a gorgeous, big fluffy coat with striking silver along her back that makes her stand out just as much as her calm presence. Rosa is currently dealing with some leash reactivity, which we believe is largely due to stress from the kennel environment. She will need slow, thoughtful introductions to other dogs, time to decompress, and a consistent routine to help her feel safe and settled. A home with a yard and a quieter, more predictable lifestyle would be ideal for her. She would also do best in a home without cats I could potentially do okay with children 12+. With patience, structure, and a calm environment, Rosa has all the makings of a wonderful, loyal companion. She’s looking for a home that understands her needs and will give her the peaceful life she deserves. Rosa is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Ninja! Ninja is a 1-year-old, 76 lb Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. This magnificent, fluffy boy is as striking as he is sweet ~ and yes, he’s often walking around with his tongue sticking out, adding to his goofy charm! Ninja is playful, bouncy, and full of big-dog energy. He’s treat-motivated and eager to engage, but he is still very much a large, adolescent pup who needs continued work on basic obedience and manners. He can be jumpy and mouthy when excited, so he will need a confident, experienced handler who understands large breeds and can provide structure, consistency, and training. Because of his size, strength, and activity level, Ninja will do best with someone who has large-breed experience and can comfortably handle a strong dog. He would thrive in a home with a large, securely fenced yard — ideally in a more rural setting outside the city, as that’s what he’s used to. He would love to go hiking, explore, and have space to roam and stretch those long legs. That said, he also has a chill side and enjoys hanging out with his people once he’s had proper exercise. Ninja can be dog selective and does show some reactivity, so continued socialization work will be important. He would do best either as an only dog or in a home with a female dog of similar size. He would do best in a home without cats. Underneath all that size and fluff is a total sweetheart and a bit of a lovable dope ~ affectionate, silly, and deeply loyal. He’s a lot of dog, but for the right home, he’s going to be an absolutely incredible companion. If you’re looking for a stunning, big-hearted adventure partner and have the experience to help guide him, Ninja may be your perfect match! Ninja is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
