Story
Baby Cakes is currently in a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. -Baby Cakes came in with five siblings after being abandoned in the woods in late February/early March 2025. All of her siblings have been adopted and are thriving in their new homes. -She is a special case that will need a loving, very patient home. She is very shy and needs to feel safe and loved. You can see her disposition in the YouTube video attached. -Just turned 1 year old (January 1st) -Approximately 50-55 pounds -DNA testing shows she is 74% Great Pyrenees/18% Miniature Australian Shepherd/8% Boxer -Does great with other dogs large and small, would probably help her come out of her shell more. Small, yappy dogs stress her out. -Would do well with one-on-one attention -Best environment would be a quiet home. If there are children in the home, they need to be over 14 years old or so. -Needs an elevated bed or soft bed to lay on -Would need a fenced yard since she would be a flight risk (at least in the beginning when she's learning to trust her new family). Watch her video: https://youtube.com/shorts/cRBr78S6TkM See the rescue video when her litter was found: https://www.facebook.com/61556973118844/videos/641365195044815 Baby Cakes is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPPx3, Bordetella), has been dewormed and a fecal test, and on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $600, this is including all vetting above and transport cost. He likes to play with stuffed toys and does find ways to make you laugh every day. He has bursts of energy but then gets tired fast.Liam is a lap dog and loves to cuddle as he goes to sleep. Story
Meet Honey! Honey and her siblings were born to mama Sugar. Sugar is a wonderful and friendly Retriever mix who has done a great job raising her babies. Honey is a  sweet 3-month-old puppy and a beautiful mix of Great Pyrenees, Shepherd, Husky, and Malamute, which means she will likely grow into a large, intelligent, and naturally protective dog—a wonderful combination for families looking for a devoted companion. Right now, she’s everything you’d hope for in a puppy: playful, curious, and full of energy, but also incredibly affectionate. She absolutely loves being close to her people, soaking up attention, and belly rubs are at the top of her favorite-things list. When she looks up at you with one ear adorably flopped over, it’s impossible not to melt. She’s already showing how smart and eager to learn she is. She knows sit and lay down, is crate trained, and sleeps through the night. She’s also well on her way with potty training—pretty impressive for her age! With continued training and guidance, she has all the makings of an exceptional dog. Because of her breed mix, she will likely grow into a large and naturally watchful companion, so she would do best with a family who understands and appreciates confident, intelligent working dogs and is ready to continue her training and socialization. She has been well socialized with both adults and children and has truly been loved and adored since day one. We can’t wait to see what this charming girl grows into—and whoever welcomes her home will gain an incredibly loyal friend. Honey has received her puppy vaccinations, microchip and deworming. She will be spayed between 8-12 months of age at our cost. Her adoption fee is $595 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
