FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Koda! He is one of our long-timers and has been waiting with us for 3 years for his forever family! ❤️ He is a very smart, goofy and athletic 70lb, ~4 year-old pup with lots of playful energy. He loves to play fetch so he definitely is a Retriever mix - he looks like a large, black golden Retriever mix - but also has strong guard-dog characteristics and is part Newfoundland. He's not a herder or chaser - he does not seem interested in running off, or chasing bunnies, squirrels or bikes, though cats are afraid of him (and probably should be). He knows basic commands (sit, down, wait, stay, leave it, come, play, ball, food, etc) and learns new things incredibly fast. He loves playing with dogs, but plays quite physically vs chasing them. Koda is happiest when playing ball or when in close proximity of his one 'person'. He's loving and affectionate with 'his person' but being part of a busy family where people are coming and going is challenging for him. He will do best with a single, experienced dog owner, who has the physical space (aka yard/rural vs a townhome in a city), time, patience and energy to work with him. Koda will benefit from structure, stability and exercise - He loves to play and learns very fast. Koda is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.

I have an interesting dog that I need to be rehome. Relocating this week. Woodrow is a 4 year old, 130# Malamute/Newfoundland, neutered and gastropexy. Shots are due in July. He is the sweetest guy and puts his head into your hands, he leans on you for love. He is currently guarding large breed goats. He will walk on leash / responds well to correction collar, knows tricks. Great around people , strangers, children over 5 because he is so big. He will let me cut his nails on my own. He will play with toys and do a little fetch. He’s particular about new dogs due to guarding the goats from the neighbors dogs. But I have integrated another with him before and it went well. Zuzu : a spunky name for a spunky gal! Zuzu is a 2 yo Great Pyrenees with a unique feature: a corkscrew tail! This very much epitomizes her upbeat and playful nature. Zuzu is HIGH energy, ready to engage in wrestling, tug, or zooming with any & every dog in your household! The only time she slows down & her tail uncorks is when she sleeps. Her past is a mystery. She was found as a stray in Hondo with evidence of sometime having had a litter of puppies. Her coat was a matted mess, so she had to be shaved. An abundance (if you know the breed you know ) of soft white fur is growing in. Great Pyrenees are fantastic family dogs, taking guardianship of their family seriously. Because of her go-go-go nature, Zuzu would do best in a home with a lively companion dog that will submit to her dominant nature. Also true to breed, although she understands basic commands, Zuzu weighs them & independently decides whether or not to follow them at any given time. Persistence, patience & acceptance of this gentle giant’s qualities are needed. She is a gorgeous good dog waiting for her “furever” home. Love and laughter are sure to follow her lively antics. We may have different theme names, but we all started the same way — as a litter of TEN tiny bottle babies! That’s a whole lot of hungry puppies, so we had to split up into different foster homes to make sure everyone got all the love, bottles, and cuddles we needed. Because of that, some of us ended up with totally different names and personalities… but we’re still one big goofy family at heart! Now look at us! We’ve grown into happy, playful puppies that are always ready for an adventure. We love exploring the yard, carrying toys around like treasures, wrestling with other dogs, and zooming around until nap time hits. We are social, loving babies that get along great with other dogs and kids too. After a long day of puppy business, our favorite thing is snuggling up close for naps and bedtime cuddles. We’ve come a long way from tiny bottle babies, and now we’re ready to find forever families to continue our happily ever afters!
