Story
Meet Buster! This sweet little guy was found as a stray, wandering in a rural area. No owner was ever located and he is now safe in one of our foster homes. He is such a sweet boy! He likes other dogs and is a happy guy. He is pretty easy-going and seems like he will do well in most settings. We are estimating his age to be around 2 years old (to be verified by our vet).  Buster will be vaccinated, chipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $395 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Darling Daphne the Pekinese is ready for a soft place to land. Daphne came to us thru our partners at King County Animal Control as they were unable to process her and get her needed veterinary care quickly. Daphne has been treated for fleas and we are treating the resulting skin condition, she has now been Spayed, had a Dental, along with Microchip and updated vaccinations, she is 100% ready for her forever home. With a heart full of love and a playful spirit! This affectionate little lady is not only great on a leash but also loves to play fetch and has a special talent for finding the squeaker in her toys. Daphne is spayed and fully vaccinated, making her all set for her forever home. If you're looking for a loving companion who enjoys both cuddle time and playtime, Daphne is the perfect match. She's ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless love to her new family. Will you be the one to give her the loving home she deserves? If you are looking for that couch companion, or neighborhood walking partner, and have patience and love to give, Daphne will pay you back in kisses and cuddles. This little lady deserves the good life ahead of her!

Story
* Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Story
Albie is a chill 11-12 year old senior looking for his new home. He spends most of his day napping and when the sun is out, looks for spots to sunbathe. He came to us from a shelter when he was estimated to be 1 year old with most of his habits already developed. He is food motivated and protects his food. He does not play with toys and not interested in a toy unless food is involved. He is not very active and loves to be petted every now and then. Unfortunately, with our life changes we are unable to give him the attention he needs and deserves. He is fine at the vet but hates the groomers so you will need to be able to groom him yourself or find a groomer that will work with anxious dogs. He is potty trained, but because he is getting older, he does have occasional accidents, especially when he is excited. He knows basic commands such as sit, down, and paw. He prefers to lounge indoors and does not pay much attention to other pets or kids unless they take his food.

Story
Meet Lily, our sweet Mama Bichon! This good mama was rescued with her litter of pups, desperate need of medical care. Poor Lily was suffering from pyometra and her uterus was necrotizing, with no care from her previous owners. Our wonderful team of caregivers and veterinarian got right to work on getting Lily healthy, she has been spayed, proper medication and a dental and is now on her way to good health. Lily's litter is now weaned and in foster homes of their own, so now Lily needs now is her perfect forever home- with no puppy responsibilities! Bichons are very smart, loving little dogs, fabulous companions. Soft beautiful coats and charming personalities make Bichon Frise a very desirable breed! Lily needs a soft, and quieter home to assimilate into family life, she has had a tough road raising her pups, and deserves all the cuddle time she can get. At 3 years young, and a life of breeding behind her, she deserves the love and affection and healing a loving family can provide.
