General about info for the dogs currently listed in this group: Permanent, Loving Homes Needed for Senior Rescue Dogs Over many years, I have monitored and tried to help this particular group of dogs. These dogs have been loved, responsibly vetted, and cared for throughout their lives, though not in an ideal overall situation. They were in a somewhat hoarding situation… not the typical not cared for at all one, but still applies. They were kept clean and fed and I paid for most of their vet care along the way, but their owner would not surrender them until now. I am finally allowed to find them homes, and cannot provide the level of long-term veterinary care these dogs deserve — including dental work, senior monitoring, and ongoing medical needs, thus, I am seeking permanent, stable homes where their remaining years can be lived with comfort, dignity, and consistency. Due to this: Adoption fees are all $300, but will be returned once proof of dental is given. What I am looking for • A calm, stable home • Someone experienced with senior dogs • Financial ability to provide ongoing veterinary and dental care • A commitment to keep them for life — no rehoming • Patience, kindness, and realistic expectations These dogs are older (aged 8 to 12 years old), and while many are still active, affectionate, and content, they will require the kind of care someone prepared for senior dogs can provide. What I will provide Full transparency about age, temperament, and medical needs Important medical history is known I do not have every vaccine record/etc but they are all spayed/ neutered, microchipped, and current on rabies vaccines Time for proper introductions Careful, thoughtful placement — this will not be rushed I am open to placing individual dogs or compatible pairs, and I will work closely with the right people to ensure a good match. About you: I like to be around my person 27/9… aka ALL OF THE TIME!!! I am ok with you going away for your errands etc (if you must), as long as I understand you will be back… and we will snuggle again soon! Aka… he can have separation anxiety to begin with, but settles quickly if you set a routine. We have TONS of tips.. Like leaving the radio or tv on soft music whilst you are away. He truly just needs to feel safe based on all of the changes he has been through along the way. I was originally rescued from a high kill shelter many years ago, on my last day (aka I was going to be put to sleep within 30 min). Back then, I was young, but I was male. My female partner got saved. My person saw me and noticed I was left behind, and they grabbed me within that 30 min window before I was to be put to sleep. Fortunately my rescue mom loved me, but she had too many of us. I was cared for, but never had my own mom really. So, what I know: I need a calm, stable person(s) to be my forever family. I am older and calmer now. So, I will be happy as long as you have lots of snuggles and food…. I like food too. I also need a dental appointment. The last time I had one is unknown. Please forever family! Pick me! I promise I will give you lots of love and snuggles! My rescue offers a 2 week trial. It can be shorter or longer based on your needs. PLEASE GIVE ME A CHANCE! Lewis is a little bigger than his friends Lois and Clark. He is cautious of big dogs. He plays very well with small dogs. He loves to play and walks well on a leash. Loves toys and getting lots of rubs. He was very scared when he first came to the ranch. He has blossomed and become very confident and affectionate. He will be great with a family. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He is located in the Texas Hill Country. He would love to travel anywhere in the US or Canada. ##2088929##

Meet M&M! Marshmallow and Mac are a bonded pair of pups on the search for their new family. These cuties are about 9 and 7 years old and have plenty of pep. Marshmallow adores playing with stuffy toys and Mac enjoys going for walks. And they both love snuggling with their humans! These two cuties lived with cats and did well, but they need to be the only dogs in their new home. These two will likely do well with older kids who can handle them gently. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Say hello to Klink! He is a 5 year-old, 14lb, Pekingese/Shih Tzu mix who came to us from a hoarding situation in CA. Klink is sweet and once he knows you, is very loving. Due to his past, he can be fearful and nervous in new situations. He will thrive in a patient and calm home that can help him decompress, and build trust and confidence. Klink is not used to walking on leash, and will need a secure leash/harness set up and he can get scared and try to pull out of his collar/harness. He would be bested suited in a home that is in a calmer neighborhood, and not a busy city environment. Klink is good with other dogs and would do well with a dog companion, or fine as an only dog soaking up all the love. We are looking for a home without children. Klink is UTD on shots, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

We cannot even begin to imagine what Casper witnessed & heard when he was at the slaughterhouse. We suspect he was used as a breeding machine & then the breeder was done with him & had no use for him . The oh so beautiful inside & out Jesse, whose picture screamed the disgusting neglect he was in, in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. He looked absolutely defeated & plain sick & we knew he as deathly ill with pneumonia. He was posted online on social media begging for his life to be saved. The shelter was sending out pleas for a rescue to help him or he was going to be euthanized. The shelter said he was a sweetheart but still no one came to save him. The reality is that when a dog is posted with pneumonia rescues know it’s going to cost a fortune & may financially break them & they still may not survive. We finally were able to get Jesse out with a lot of back & forth with the shelter & once we did it was determined immediately that Jesse was the biggest sweetheart ever. We did determine though that he was extremely ill & may not survive. He stunk & was matted badly. His foster mum took him to get a bath as his fur was so stained all over. We had him booked into our vets but had to rush him in immediately to another vet as he was not doing well & we were frightened with his breathing & it was determined that he need meds, fluids etc until he could get the care from our regular vet. Once our regular vet was open Jesse was admitted immediately for 5 days straight to save his life. If we did not rescue Jesse the pneumonia alone would have killed him in the shelter. After we rescued Jesse, he is coming back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find him his loving forever home. We have hired a wonderful private transporter so Jesse could have one on one time with a married couple who are absolutely obsessed with animals. Along his journey here he gets to be apart of the sites & experience them. The absolute insanity to think this baby doll ended up in one of the highest kill shelters in CA is soul destroying. Jesse just wants to be loved. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. When we first rescued him, he ate multiple bowls of food as if he is making up for lost time. In his foster home he eats clean. Fruits, vegetables, grains, raw meat & other proteins along with supplements. He also adores a good treat which are homemade. When it’s time to eat he gets very excited & can jump high with enthusiasm. Jesse is a very soft gentle soul, he is so easy his foster mum said considering what he has endured. His foster mum said Jesse is a very sweet dog & loves his humans. He does get excited now & has a big zest for life, love & adventure. This boy will look at you with so much gratitude & admiration. He is so regal while sitting watching you. He also loves to be with his buddies & just lay with them or do whatever they are doing. She said he is really such a good & smart boy. He loves everyone he meets after he knows them & enjoys being cuddled & given love. He also enjoys snuggling up on the couch & spend his day relaxing. He enjoys sleeping on the couch & sleeping in bed with you at night. His foster mum still cannot believe someone would be so cruel & neglectful to Jesse. Jesse’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard. He enjoys going out into the backyard in his foster home & having a wander around & sunning himself. Jesse has been great with his baths because he started having them with us in his loving foster homes the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. He has also started getting used to being dried with a hairdryer. He will stand up & hug him. He has put on a good amount of weight since being in his loving foster home & was so thin when first rescued. Jesse rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & will sit in his car seat next to you with his dog friends. He also enjoys looking out the window. Jesse is a wonderful walker on his harness & leash & loves going on many walks. We are looking for a forever home for Jesse where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lad only. We cannot stress this enough that due to the trauma he experienced at the shelter he must not be put into a crate. He was left in a cage in the shelter until we rescued him. Jesse is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Jesse has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & fostered with other dogs in his foster home & does well with them & enjoys their company. He absolutely needs another dog in his forever home for him to thrive. Jesse is roughly 8 years old & 18 lbs, he is male, & a bichion frise possibly & neutered. He had the major emergency vet visits & emergency hospital stay for 5 days on fluids, intravenous medications, x-rays to save his life with severe pneumonia. We have Jesse just had full major dental scale & polish & had several teeth removed. He still does have teeth left but not many but that most certainly does not stop him eating his food he loves. He is microchipped, up to date on his shots, including DHPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we do not redo them only rabies as we do not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. After Jesse’s dental we have spent over $4000 to save this precious boys life. Jesse has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Jesse has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Jesse & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Jesse who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Jesse has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
