General about info for the dogs currently listed in this group: Permanent, Loving Homes Needed for Senior Rescue Dogs Over many years, I have monitored and tried to help this particular group of dogs. These dogs have been loved, responsibly vetted, and cared for throughout their lives, though not in an ideal overall situation. They were in a somewhat hoarding situation… not the typical not cared for at all one, but still applies. They were kept clean and fed and I paid for most of their vet care along the way, but their owner would not surrender them until now. I am finally allowed to find them homes, and cannot provide the level of long-term veterinary care these dogs deserve — including dental work, senior monitoring, and ongoing medical needs, thus, I am seeking permanent, stable homes where their remaining years can be lived with comfort, dignity, and consistency. Due to this: Adoption fees are all $300, but will be returned once proof of dental is given. What I am looking for • A calm, stable home • Someone experienced with senior dogs • Financial ability to provide ongoing veterinary and dental care • A commitment to keep them for life — no rehoming • Patience, kindness, and realistic expectations These dogs are older (aged 8 to 12 years old), and while many are still active, affectionate, and content, they will require the kind of care someone prepared for senior dogs can provide. What I will provide Full transparency about age, temperament, and medical needs Important medical history is known I do not have every vaccine record/etc but they are all spayed/ neutered, microchipped, and current on rabies vaccines Time for proper introductions Careful, thoughtful placement — this will not be rushed I am open to placing individual dogs or compatible pairs, and I will work closely with the right people to ensure a good match. About me: I am super snuggly, so my rescue mom calls me “Humphrey the Hugger.” I am about 16 lbs and am ABSOLUTELY the perfect size for snuggling!!! I will push myself very hard against you to be sure we are snuggling ABSOLUTELY perfectly! I am about 8-10 years old, and about 17 lbs, and due to my age, many people have overlooked me. I have been 2nd choice more times than I can count. I am first choice, until my age comes up. I am sorry, I cannot control this. If I could be younger for you, I ABSOLUTELY would be. About you: I like to be around my person 27/9… aka ALL OF THE TIME!!! I am ok with you going away for your errands etc (if you must), as long as I understand you will be back… and we will snuggle again soon! Aka… he can have separation anxiety to begin with, but settles quickly if you set a routine. We have TONS of tips.. Like leaving the radio or tv on soft music whilst you are away. He truly just needs to feel safe based on all of the changes he has been through along the way. I was originally rescued from a high kill shelter many years ago, on my last day (aka I was going to be put to sleep within 30 min). Back then, I was young, but I was male. My female partner got saved. My person saw me and noticed I was left behind, and they grabbed me within that 30 min window before I was to be put to sleep. Fortunately my rescue mom loved me, but she had too many of us. I was cared for, but never had my own mom really. So, what I know: I need a calm, stable person(s) to be my forever family. I am older and calmer now. So, I will be happy as long as you have lots of snuggles and food…. I like food too. I also need a dental appointment. The last time I had one is unknown. Please forever family! Pick me! I promise I will give you lots of love and snuggles! My rescue offers a 2 week trial. It can be shorter or longer based on your needs. PLEASE GIVE ME A CHANCE! I am FULLY vetted: fixed, 3 year rabies, DDAVP, microchip, heartworm tested negative multiple times, including recently, and current on heartworm and flea preventative. My stuff comes with me (crate, bed, toys, hw flea prev for 3-6 months depending on where I am in between vet visits). Lewis is a little bigger than his friends Lois and Clark. He is cautious of big dogs. He plays very well with small dogs. He loves to play and walks well on a leash. Loves toys and getting lots of rubs. He was very scared when he first came to the ranch. He has blossomed and become very confident and affectionate. He will be great with a family. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He is located in the Texas Hill Country. He would love to travel anywhere in the US or Canada. ##2088929##

Ducklett has had a rough past, but he’s a sweet boy who’s looking for a home to call his own! FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Taffy! Taffy is a 1-year-old, 10 lb Pekingese/Chihuahua mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded CA shelter. This little girl is all personality—bouncy, confident, goofy, and full of charisma! She loves to play with other dogs and can be a bit of a “boss lady” during play, but always in a fun, spirited way. Taffy has a soft, fluffy coat, bright expressive eyes, and a zest for life. She’s an active young dog who loves going on walks, exploring, and joining her people on adventures. Because she has a good amount of energy, she’ll do best in an active home that can keep her engaged, exercised, and enriched. She’d be a great match for a home with another playful dog, but she could also do well as an only dog with adopters who keep her well-socialized. She has not been tested with cats or children; we recommend dog-savvy kids 10+. If you’re looking for a small dog with a big personality and an adventurous spirit, Taffy is your girl! She’s a gentle girl who loves to go on walks with her people and curl up for cuddles afterward. Lunala is still building her confidence with the world, so she’d do best in a calmer environment—somewhere outside the hustle and bustle of city life. She’ll thrive with adopters who understand shy dogs and can help her continue to blossom at her own pace. She could happily be an only dog with continued socialization, or she’d do well with a friendly canine companion. Either way, Lunala is ready to be a loving, loyal part of her new family! FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Say hello to Klink! He is a 5 year-old, 14lb, Pekingese/Shih Tzu mix who came to us from a hoarding situation in CA. Klink is sweet and once he knows you, is very loving. Due to his past, he can be fearful and nervous in new situations. He will thrive in a patient and calm home that can help him decompress, and build trust and confidence. Klink is not used to walking on leash, and will need a secure leash/harness set up and he can get scared and try to pull out of his collar/harness. He would be bested suited in a home that is in a calmer neighborhood, and not a busy city environment. Klink is good with other dogs and would do well with a dog companion, or fine as an only dog soaking up all the love. We are looking for a home without children. Klink is UTD on shots, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

That will not save a dog’s life. No one was coming to save Prada & we said we would help her & knew she was so misunderstood & of course she was. Our beautiful Prada will now be looking for a home to cherish her. Prada is being brought back to WA from CA. Prada had 2 foster homes in CA as 1 ended up going away on holidays & both foster homes said she is such a character & when she knows you & becomes comfortable with you she really makes herself at home. She loves to be loved. She is a fun spirited girl. She is a sneaky little bugger & has puppy energy & can be found jumping on chairs & has even been known to jump on the table. She absolutely adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, we don’t know if this is something she did not get to experience ever until she was rescued. When a clean blanket comes out she gets so excited to go lay on it. She enjoys sleeping with her foster siblings & in bed with you. She can be found sitting with her foster siblings on the couch or bed. Prada is wonderful with her baths & grooms as she has learnt since we got her to have them. Prada loves to eat & is a wonderful eater now & she is not shy about that. She eats a clean diet of, raw proteins, fruits, vegetables a small of grains, along with different supplements & fats. She also loves collagen sticks & bully sticks. She is a very sweet intelligent dog her foster mum said. In her current foster home she enjoys going into the backyard & sunning herself & running & playing with her dog friends. She does walk really well on a harness & leash & has been taught since she has been in the rescue. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Prada as you can imagine spent such a long time in a caged environment. Please do not say you won’t crate her & then go & crate her, that is unacceptable. We are also looking for a forever home for Prada where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Prada is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her. Prada loves her dog friends so much & she enjoys being with them & has never met a dog she doesn’t like. She does not discriminate against breeds. She even loves puppies. We currently have her with other dogs in her loving foster home. Prada needs a fully fenced backyard if it’s a freestanding house. Prada is roughly 12 lbs, & perhaps 1 year old & possibly a bichon frise, but what she is mixed with we are not sure. She is female, spayed, she had her shots, including DHPP, rabies & dewormed. But once these shots expire we will not redo them as we do not over vaccinate our beloved dogs & will only redo the rabies. We have spent far more on Prada with bringing her to WA with her travel costs from CA, her medical care in WA & trying to save her life etc than her adoption fee comes close to covering. We have spent $700 alone on a private transport for this beautiful girl. Prada has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had her around children so we do not recommend cats nor children but it’s always up to the adopters to responsible with their children, cats & dogs. We were not there when Prada was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Prada’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. The oh so beautiful inside & out Jesse, whose picture screamed the disgusting neglect he was in, in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. He looked absolutely defeated & plain sick & we knew he as deathly ill with pneumonia. He was posted online on social media begging for his life to be saved. The shelter was sending out pleas for a rescue to help him or he was going to be euthanized. The shelter said he was a sweetheart but still no one came to save him. The reality is that when a dog is posted with pneumonia rescues know it’s going to cost a fortune & may financially break them & they still may not survive. We finally were able to get Jesse out with a lot of back & forth with the shelter & once we did it was determined immediately that Jesse was the biggest sweetheart ever. We did determine though that he was extremely ill & may not survive. He stunk & was matted badly. His foster mum took him to get a bath as his fur was so stained all over. We had him booked into our vets but had to rush him in immediately to another vet as he was not doing well & we were frightened with his breathing & it was determined that he need meds, fluids etc until he could get the care from our regular vet. Once our regular vet was open Jesse was admitted immediately for 5 days straight to save his life. If we did not rescue Jesse the pneumonia alone would have killed him in the shelter. After we rescued Jesse, he is coming back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find him his loving forever home. We have hired a wonderful private transporter so Jesse could have one on one time with a married couple who are absolutely obsessed with animals. Along his journey here he gets to be apart of the sites & experience them. The absolute insanity to think this baby doll ended up in one of the highest kill shelters in CA is soul destroying. Jesse just wants to be loved. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. When we first rescued him, he ate multiple bowls of food as if he is making up for lost time. In his foster home he eats clean. Fruits, vegetables, grains, raw meat & other proteins along with supplements. He also adores a good treat which are homemade. When it’s time to eat he gets very excited & can jump high with enthusiasm. Jesse is a very soft gentle soul, he is so easy his foster mum said considering what he has endured. His foster mum said Jesse is a very sweet dog & loves his humans. He does get excited now & has a big zest for life, love & adventure. This boy will look at you with so much gratitude & admiration. He is so regal while sitting watching you. He also loves to be with his buddies & just lay with them or do whatever they are doing. She said he is really such a good & smart boy. He loves everyone he meets after he knows them & enjoys being cuddled & given love. He also enjoys snuggling up on the couch & spend his day relaxing. He enjoys sleeping on the couch & sleeping in bed with you at night. His foster mum still cannot believe someone would be so cruel & neglectful to Jesse. Jesse’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard. He enjoys going out into the backyard in his foster home & having a wander around & sunning himself. Jesse has been great with his baths because he started having them with us in his loving foster homes the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. He has also started getting used to being dried with a hairdryer. He will stand up & hug him. He has put on a good amount of weight since being in his loving foster home & was so thin when first rescued. Jesse rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & will sit in his car seat next to you with his dog friends. He also enjoys looking out the window. Jesse is a wonderful walker on his harness & leash & loves going on many walks. We are looking for a forever home for Jesse where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lad only. We cannot stress this enough that due to the trauma he experienced at the shelter he must not be put into a crate. He was left in a cage in the shelter until we rescued him. Jesse is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Jesse has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & fostered with other dogs in his foster home & does well with them & enjoys their company. He absolutely needs another dog in his forever home for him to thrive. Jesse is roughly 8 years old & 18 lbs, he is male, & a bichion frise possibly & neutered. He had the major emergency vet visits & emergency hospital stay for 5 days on fluids, intravenous medications, x-rays to save his life with severe pneumonia. We have Jesse just had full major dental scale & polish & had several teeth removed. He still does have teeth left but not many but that most certainly does not stop him eating his food he loves. He is microchipped, up to date on his shots, including DHPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we do not redo them only rabies as we do not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. After Jesse’s dental we have spent over $4000 to save this precious boys life. Jesse has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together.
