Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  Mystique goes by Mija (Me-ha) which means daughter in Spanish.  Mija was adopted as a kitten and lived with her mom and sibling kitties until her mom passed away unexpectedly this winter.  She was a little confused and heartbroken when she arrived, but she has blossomed back into her happy, sassy self.   Mija has a playful side and a chill side.  She's an active 8 year old lady who loves attention (demands it at times).  Her favorite toys are mice, feathers, and toys she can carry and toss around. Mija is an excellent biscuit maker and takes orders daily.  Her happy place is on a lap while co-foster mom plays xbox.  She loves the animal channel on tv, and CAT TV.  Mija is a great companion kitty.   While she lived with other kitties, however, we've learned that she prefers to be an only cat and the center of attention.   She's an excellent climber and enjoys high places - perches, shelves, cat trees.  Give her a high spot where she can nap and she'll love you forever.  You'll never be lonely with Mija as she is a great conversationalist and protests if you close a door on her.  Mija is a great cuddler - on her terms.   See more on IG @303.fosters.    Born in Puerto Rico in 2016.  Up to date on vaccines.  Full dental on April 19th. Mija is being fostered in Park Hill, Denver.  Children 12 and over.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
It breaks my heart to do this but we have to re-home our beautiful Maine Coon mix cat, Baba Ghanoush (aka Noosh). He's 7 years old and such a sweetheart. He's fixed and in great health. He loves ear scritches and belly rubs. The reasons for rehoming him honestly aren't his fault. Unfortunately, when we moved into our new house a few years ago our older female cat and him started going outside. No problem there except he'd come home smelling like other cats which made our older female cat turn on him. She claimed the downstairs of our house and he has been relegated to the upstairs which just isn't fair to him. Also, we got a puppy last year who loves to chase him, further isolating him to our upstairs floor. He has begun showing physical signs of stress by getting urinary tract and bladder infections. The vet even said cats tend to manifest stress via urinary system infections. We manage to keep them at bay by putting him on a urinary health focused dry food.

Story
Hi, My name is Rigby. I am about 4 years old. I am very affectionate and love to play, I also don't mind occational bellyrubs and small treats. I have been fostered and loved by Lauren, who really loves me and spoiles me, but unfortunately she gets really bad allergies and has a big surgery coming up soon. I hope to find a family who can give me snuggles and hugs! I am super chill and get along with other dogs and cats.

Story
Hello, I`m Swiftie. My life is like a comic book adventure. I once roamed the city, exploring every nook and cranny, my curiosity leading me to thrilling escapades. One day, I stumbled upon a gang of alley cats terrorizing a helpless mouse. I sprang into action, using my quick reflexes to scare them off. The mouse, grateful for my bravery, led me to a haven, a shelter, where I could rest. Here, I`ve been honing my superhero skills, waiting for my next adventure. I`m independent, but loyal. I can be temperamental, but that`s just part of my charm. I`m looking for a sidekick who`s ready to join me on my heroic journey. Could that be you? What I Need In a Home:* Kids 14+ mandatory* Cat experienced home required

Story
Hello, I`m Breck, a seasoned and wise lady of the feline world. I`m quite friendly and love a good chin scratch. My intelligence is apparent in my curiosity; I love to explore my surroundings and learn new things. I am independent too, I enjoy my own company, but I`m always up for a cuddle. I have a bit of a house soiling issue when there is too much stress, but with patience, understanding, and a peaceful home we can work on it together (I wasn`t stressed at the DAP so I used my litter box!). Why should you adopt me? Well, I`m not just a cat, I`m a companion. I`m a confidante who`ll always be there for you, offering comfort and a friendly purr. What I Need In a Home:* Kids 14+ mandatory* Cat experienced home required

Very friendly with new people. Not a big fan of being picked up but tolerates it. she's about 5 years old. Generally disinterested in human food so she won't bug you there. Included with her would be a cat water fountain, electronic litterbox, cat scratcher, a few toys, nail clippers, lint roller, and a carrier if you want them.

Story
~Foster to Adopt~Hi friends, my name is Beau-the most handsome, dashing, and charming 15-year-old black cat you will ever meet.I have been to MaxFund twice. The first time was because my previous owner was moving into a memory care facility. I eventually found my new owner and thought things were going well, until one day I ended up here again. But, after several months I was lucky enough to find a loving foster home! Sadly, my fosters were unable to care for me long term so I am back at the shelter. Though, I am shy at first, I eventually warm up to people. I am very playful (for an old guy) and I never met a wand toy or laser that didn't instantly get my attention. My most recent foster mom carried me around like a clutch, which is funny because I didn't like to be picked up at the shelter. In fact, I really started to come out of my shell in my foster home. I even got along with the family dog!Every cat's wish is for a forever home with a forever family. Would you consider taking in a sweet old guy?

Story
Hello Friends! I'm Jackson, a beautiful orange and white short-haired guy with adorably long hears and mesmerizing green eyes! I kind of look like an orange Creamsicle??I am a sweet, easy-going boy who loves to be brushed and picked up, and I purr like a little motorboat. I lived very successfully with an energetic, talkative small dog. At the shelter, I have spent time around my cat buddy, Otter and we seem to get along just fine! So, if you want a gentle, easy-going boy, that's me! I'm 13 & ½ years young - plenty of healthy years left!
