Story
Name: June Breed: Domestic Long Hair Sex: Spayed Female Age: 8.5 years Weight: 11 lbs Inquisitive, Outgoing, Fluffy Beauty Good with dogs? June previously lived with dogs and may do better with a mature, quiet dog, if any dog. She may generally ignore dogs or let them know that she prefers her space. Good with cats? She has not tried to befriend cats she has met in foster care. She seems happiest as a solo kitty. Good with kids? Yes, she did great with kids who petted her gently, and even licked them with friendly appreciation. Energy level: Low to Medium. She enjoys wand toys, the red dot laser and her little play tunnel. She likes exploring and napping, especially with a good window view. Animal Characteristics: June is a beautiful, inquisitive, confident, outgoing, smart cat who enjoys love when she’s in the mood and also appreciates space and quiet time. When you call her name, she will come running, which is really cute given how fluffy she is! When she wants pets, she will give a gentle nudge or tap you with her nose. She will come sit in your lap and purr for a few minutes, then move on to explore her home with her adorable diva strut. She will curl up at the foot of your bed, purring loudly as she drifts off to sleep. June is ready to relax and fully blossom once she settles into her cozy forever home. Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!

Story
4/21/2025 Some recent developments from Rain's foster: "Rain has definitely opened up but still working on confidence. She loves me and my roommate and we are working on getting there with my roommates boyfriend but, my Mom came over a few days ago and she didn’t budge, even with tons of space and treats all around. Her profile currently describes her as “aloof,” and I don’t think there’s a better word to describe her personality." Rain is 16 months old, fat, healthy, and friendly. Her mom is a DLH black and white cat that was found pregnant and abandoned at her rescuers friend's apartment complex. Rain was a house cat until she was about 6 months old and then put outside in the outdoor "cat compound," which is where the cats are kept safe from coyotes. It's a fence yard with a wire "ceiling."  Rain and her sister Snow came back inside about a month ago to get them acclimated again to being house cats.  Snow is afraid of people, so we haven't tried to get her adopted. Rain is not afraid of people, but she has a somewhat aloof personality.  She and her sister currently live in the large bathroom connected to their rescuers bedroom.  Every time she opens the door to go in the bathroom, Rain comes running out and runs all over the bedroom, having fun, and then she'll run back into the bathroom. It's a game to her.  She also likes to be scratched and petted and to throw herself on the floor and roll around. Rain is a great cat. Rain came from San Antonio, Texas, which is already humid enough, so she brought some precipitation to the mountains! She needs a committed adopter, who loves a gentle rain, to give her the time and space to open up again in a new home, to new people, and continue working on her confidence with positive interactions. Rain is currently being fostered in Denver, Colorado. ##2269019##

Story
Boba was adopted in 2020 from a shelter where he was found wandering with his brother. Boba is a BIG cat, weighing near 20 lbs. He jumps, gets the zoomies, LOVES to eat and chase any flies or critters that come into the house. He’s bonded to his adopted brother Natto, and should be kept together. He needs to be brushed a lot or he’ll get hairballs. He will overeat so he needs to be given small portions. He hates water, and is also scared of strangers and machinery (like vacuums). But he’s an absolute cuddle monster that loves to have his belly rubbed and scratched. He’ll hop right into your lap for lots of cuddle time. He’s extremely loving and affectionate once he gets to know you. He’s not too fond of dogs, and has also been aggressive with female cats or cats that are smaller than him.
