Persian kittens & cats in Canton, Georgia

Hi! I’m MASON (DOB: ~01/18/2019), a male purebred Shaded Silver Persian. I was surrendered to a local animal control with several of my siblings when my owner could no longer care for me. I lacked full socialization at the time I made my way to FFRS, but now I am a good boy - making a 180° turn-around since my intake, allow petting, and I would love a calm home with someone who is patient with me. I am not shy or aggressive – I just don’t yet fully understand this whole affection thing. Sometimes I like it a lot. My main motivation is treats that make me very happy. I forget my lack of socialization skills when someone plays with me. I can be petted, but I prefer it just be my head and shoulders and I absolutely LUV my neck massages and will reach out asking for one! I will let you know when I’ve had enough petting by backing away. I have have started purring when I'm petted. I don’t seem to mind other cats as long as they are nice to me but have not met any dogs. My manners are wonderful and with patience, I may become a cat who likes to be nearby on the sofa with you or maybe even on the bed. I don’t think I will ever be a snuggly kind of guy, but I am a good gentleman and will be a good companion. I am neutered, up-to-date with vaccines, negative for Feline FIV/FeLV, dewormed, have received flea preventative, and am microchipped. My adoption fee is $300.00.September 4, 2026, 4:08 pm

This boy is Motley Crue, or Motley for short. Like his namesake, he's got a bit of a wild side and we think he'd do best with someone a bit more cat-savvy or with more patience. Because he's not mean. He's just stressed out, gets overstimulated, and needs his space. He's a sweet boy besides that, though. When he wants pets, he'll gladly lean into you. He tolerates being held. He just needs someone to give him the time of day.Because he gets overstimulated fairly easily, we'd recommend no small kids. Older kids that are quieter and can respect his boundaries should be fine.He currently co-houses with other feline shelter residents and does fine, so we think he'd do well in a multi-cat household.He was turned in as a stray, so we don't know how he'd do with dogs, but we're guessing "no" since he likes his space and a quieter, calmer environment.If you're ready for this boy to "kickstart your heart", please stop by the shelter with all human family members.
