Story
Lucy is a sweet, affectionate girl with a curious personality and just the right amount of sass! She loves being around her people and is happiest when she’s close by. Her favorite spot? Chilling right at your feet while keeping you company.  She’s loving, curious, and full of personality—basically, the perfect mix of cuddly and sassy! Lucy is ready to find her forever family where she can be your loyal little shadow PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion. ##2823697##

Story
Randy is a gorgeous all white part Persian young boy we are so happy to have with our rescue. Life hasn’t been good to Randy. He was left on the streets to fend for himself . He is safe now! Randy has stunning light greenish yellow eyes coupled with wispy cottony long white fur making him movie star handsome. He is a very sweet calm young cat who gets along well with other cats. It took him a bit to feel comfortable with us but he is healthy and ready for prime time. We would like to see Randy in a home experienced in caring for long haired cats or dogs. Regular grooming is required to maintain a nice coat with Persians. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Sam is a gorgeous, young, long haired orange and white young adult we are thrilled to have with us. He was rescued as a kitten from the mean streets and ended up living with a kind lady. Sadly, she has cancer so Sam and 6 other long haired boys need to find new homes. Sam has that thick deep orange fur that is almost bronze in color. He is a very sweet and calm cat. He likes to be brushed. Gets along beautifully with other cats. We would like to see Sam in a home with one of his brothers or with another nice calm cat. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Manny is a stunning medium to long hair male cat rescued off the mean streets. He is safe now. Manny has the most fluffy ruff that surrounds his face. Could be some Maine coon in him. Part Persian. Not sure. Manny has never met a human or cat he does not like. He craves attention. Can be a bit needy at first. Boy, can he play. He needs a large space with a lot of activity. He was in a small apartment for a month and the family realized he has to be able to run around and explore. Extremely active. Manny needs stimulation so another active cat is paramount. He will do great with kids and probably a dog. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Meet Judy: A Fluffy Little Persian Beauty with a Heart of Gold! Just look at that face! Judy is an irresistibly adorable, fluffy little girl with obvious Persian heritage, a plush orange coat, and the classic smooshy Persian face that makes you want to scoop her up and give her a kiss. But Judy is so much more than a pretty face - she’s a sweet, people-loving girl who is waiting for someone patient enough to earn her trust and discover what a wonderful companion she can be. Judy was born in Egypt and was found on the streets begging for food. After all the changes and uncertainty she’s experienced in her young life, she made her way to Northern Virginia in hopes of finding something she’s never had before: a stable, loving forever home. Judy may need a little time to feel safe when she enters a new environment, but patience with Judy is very much rewarded. Once she knows she can trust you, she absolutely adores human affection. She loves having her soft fur stroked and her cheeks scratched, and she’ll happily return the favor with head butts, affectionate rubs, gentle purrs, and cozy snuggles beside you. She’s generally a calm girl, but don’t let that fool you. Judy has some delightful bursts of playful energy! She’s quite fond of being up high and enjoys cat trees, and she’s surprisingly skilled at a spirited game of crinkly-ball soccer. She also loves watching the world go by from a window and, naturally, is always interested when tasty treats are involved. Because Judy forms strong bonds with the people she trusts, she’d thrive in a stable home where her people are around frequently and where she can become part of the family’s daily life. She isn’t looking for a revolving door—she’s looking for someone who will give her the time she needs to settle in and then enjoy the deep bond that develops once Judy knows she’s home. At approximately one year old, Judy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and combo tested negative. With her Persian heritage comes some special grooming needs. Her beautiful plush coat will need regular brushing, and her smooshy Persian face requires daily eye cleaning to keep her comfortable and healthy. Daily eye care isn’t Judy’s favorite activity just yet, but she’s learning to accept this important routine—and the right family will understand that these little grooming rituals are simply part of caring for a Persian-type beauty. Judy gets along with calm, low-key cats following a gradual introduction. She has also lived peacefully with low-key, cat-friendly dogs. That said, Judy would be perfectly happy as your one and only feline, where she could enjoy being the center of attention and soak up all the love. Her $350 adoption fee helps cover her veterinary care, vaccinations, spay surgery, and international travel from Egypt. It also helps support the dedicated rescuers who continue saving vulnerable cats just like Judy. Judy’s Egyptian rescuers became very attached to her, so staying in touch with them will be an important part of her adoption process. They loved this little girl enough to help give her a chance at a better life, and now they’re hoping the rest of her story will be written with a family who will love her just as much. Judy is currently fostered in Burke, Virginia. If you have room in your heart for a gorgeous, gentle Persian-type girl—and the patience to let her show you just how loving she can be—Judy may be the little orange sweetheart you’ve been waiting for. 🧡 Please message us for an adoption application.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Carrot.  Sadly for me and my owner, I am returning to KSC soon. My person has to go back to their home country and is not allowed to take me. I know the caregivers at KSC will take really good care of me, but it might be a sad time initially.   I'm a friendly and affectionate guy, though I can be a little shy when I first meet new people.  Give me a little time, and you'll discover what a sweet companion I am.   I love stretching and scratching on my scratch board, and tummy rubs are one of my favorite things!  I'd be happiest as the only pet in my forever home so I can soak up all of your love and attention.   If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion who's worth getting to know, I'd love to meet you!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. August 30, 2026, 3:54 pm
