Story
Are you looking for an independent cat one that comes to you for pets but is self-sustainable? Already past the terrible 2 stage of getting into everything and destroying things but more like 'let’s chill here together and watch a movie'? A partner who encourages you to live your dreams? Gives you a majestic look of confidence and always there to tell you that you are the most important person in the world, while still allowing you to have your own space and time to yourself? Then I have the cat for you! This beautiful girl, roughly around two years old, give or take a few months is a street cat that was picked up and given a second chance through “Second Chance Companions” and is now a pretty princess who show her majestic-ness all the time. She can be shy at first, but opens up and becomes a friend. She had one litter and was an amazing mama. Now spayed and no longer able to bare children, she’s looking for a furever home. She gets along with other cats, can be playful, submits to hierarchies, but eventually wins their hearts over. She does great with older children and will hang out with video gamers. She likes to talk to you, whatever you're doing! She is current on vaccines, FeLV/FIV tested and negative for both, spayed, clear of parasites, and litter box trained. Please fill out an adoption at www.sccpets.com and her foster will be in touch so she can come home to you!If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.July 4, 2026, 12:49 am

Story
Hi, my name is Misha. I am sure you have been told that cats always land on their feet - well, this lucky cat sure has! I was a stray guy, hanging out in a neighborhood, banking on the kindness of strangers and I hit the jackpot! This nice lady took me in. It was so nice to get a warm, safe place to sleep and food. She took me to the vet and I got a clean bill of health (and neutered, but that is a discussion for another day). Anyway, she wants for me to have a good life and has asked SCC to help us in the search. So, I am about 1.5 years old, I was a bit timid coming into my current surroundings but, for the most part, I am doing ok. I am really playful, and a very good hunter of toy mice. I love the wand toys with feathers that fly - I can really jump after them. Since my arrival, I have adjusted well to my indoor only home. I can tell you, life on the streets is not for the faint hearted. I might be timid at first, but would probably do well with kids over 5, younger kids can be a bit noisy for me. I don't have any known dog experience, so we can skip that. I might do ok with another cat - especially if you have one of those job things. I am current on my vaccines, will be microchipped and very good with my litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.July 4, 2026, 12:49 am

Story
Hi, my name is Lucy and my brother, CH - Chris and I are looking for a very special person. You see, our human mom took us off the streets as feral cats when we were really young - as cats go, but probably as feral cats go, really too late to 'flip us', to be regular house cats. She really loves us! But time, of course, is the demon of our fate. You see, she went into assisted living and was unable to take us with her. My brother Chris, he is really my protector - kind of like my emotional support animal (and I am his). He is way more outgoing than I am, so, if you are looking for a 24/7 lap cat, he would be the one, but you see, we are a package deal. He is my voice. Because we are ramping down on 12 years old, SCC got us a senior blood panel and in the scheme of things, we are doing alright. Our foster person tricked me into getting into a carrier - - not cool, but I got a sedated shave of my belly, and my 3 yr rabies shot during that 'adventure' - - - So, let me tell you about me. I am a petite girl (most of what you see in my pictures is fluff) I am under 8 pounds. I am a timid girl My brother is a bit more outgoing and he is my mighty protector. As you can see from our pics, we are very bonded and are often perched together by the window, watching the world go by. We also like to play with catnip mice inside crinkly, kitty tunnels. Our foster has a camera in the room and watches us play. We would be best in a quiet home environment, retirees that live a quiet life, and are home more. If friends or family do come to visit, they might not see us, but you should know that we will be waiting for your company to leave so that we can come out. As you might assume, kids are a bit noisy for us, and even though we had a dog in our lives before, we can do without that. We are current on our vaccines and microchipped and are very good with our litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 7, 2026, 3:28 pm
