Story
Hi, my name is Reece! I am a happy-go-lucky girl that loves everybody - even the dog! My human mom is moving and can't take me with her. She really loves me and wants me to have a good life. SCC is helping us find that special home. So, let me tell you about myself. I am about 4 years old. I do really well with kids of all ages. I love attention and I love to be brushed. I live with a dog and cat and I get along with everybody. Of course, slow introductions are always great. I have lived an indoor only life and that suits me just fine. I will be brought current on my RCP vaccine and microchipped as a part of the adoption process. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.February 11, 2026, 1:21 am

Story
Nyx is a beautiful one-year-old female with a stunning long black coat - fittingly named after the Greek goddess and personification of night. She’s as lovely inside as she is outside. Nyx is very friendly and affectionate and won’t hesitate to come over to ask for some love and pets. She’s easygoing, confident, and adapts well to new situations. She was found as a stray on someone’s patio, but unfortunately they weren’t able to take her in - so now Nyx is looking for a forever home. She does well with other cats and should be fine with respectful children. While her experience with dogs is unknown, her laid-back personality suggests she may adjust with a proper introduction. Nyx has been spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV—she’s healthy and ready to go home. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who will happily seek out your attention, Nyx may be the perfect match. Please fill out an application for her at www.sccpets.com.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.February 13, 2026, 8:54 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Lucy and my brother, CH - Chris and I are looking for a very special person. You see, our human mom took us off the streets as feral cats when we were really young - as cats go, but probably as feral cats go, really too late to 'flip us', to be regular house cats. She really loves us! But time, of course, is the demon of our fate. You see, she went into assisted living and was unable to take us with her. My brother Chris, he is really my protector - kind of like my emotional support animal (and I am his). He is way more outgoing than I am, so, if you are looking for a 24/7 lap cat, he would be the one, but you see, we are a package deal. He is my voice. Because we are ramping down on 12 years old, SCC got us a senior blood panel and in the scheme of things, we are doing alright. Our foster person tricked me into getting into a carrier - - not cool, but I got a sedated shave of my belly, and my 3 yr rabies shot during that 'adventure' - - - So, let me tell you about me. I am a petite girl (most of what you see in my pictures is fluff) I am under 8 pounds. I am a timid girl My brother is a bit more outgoing and he is my mighty protector. As you can see from our pics, we are very bonded and are often perched together by the window, watching the world go by. We also like to play with catnip mice inside crinkly, kitty tunnels. Our foster has a camera in the room and watches us play. We would be best in a quiet home environment, retirees that live a quiet life, and are home more. If friends or family do come to visit, they might not see us, but you should know that we will be waiting for your company to leave so that we can come out. As you might assume, kids are a bit noisy for us, and even though we had a dog in our lives before, we can do without that. We are current on our vaccines and microchipped and are very good with our litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.February 15, 2025, 2:14 pm

Hi, my name is Fili - you can stop looking any further - you have just found your perfect cat!! My human mom is moving out of state and can't take me with her. She has asked SCC to help me to find a new family to love me as much as she does. So, about me, I am about 8 years old. I have been around younger kids but sometimes I just get annoyed and wander off. I do ok with older kids - especially because I know they can brush me (and I like that!) I am a playful guy, I like laser toys, but I haven't ever caught that red dot. My human mom says that I don't have dog experience, but given my personality, I could probably adjust with an older, nice dog. Of course, slow introductions are always best! I live a leisurely life, and sleep in a few prime locations around the house - it's tough work being a cat. I have had some time outside when the weather is nice. I like laying in the sun. I could adjust to being an indoor only guy - but having a perch by the window would be nice to watch the birds and squirrels. I am current on my vaccines and will be microchipped as a part of the adoption process. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.February 5, 2026, 9:57 pm
