Story
Name: Fendi Breeds: Pit Bull/ Husky Mix Age: Young Adult Sex: Female Size: Large Fendi is a uniquely colored bi colored eye girl who isn't just a pretty face. Nope, this sweetheart also has a great personality and some training under her belt! She is housetrained (though with any dog expect accidents as she transitions), crates well, and minds her manners in the house. She adores people of all ages though the little ones might get bumped over from her playful nature. She has the energy you would expect from a husky and a pittie so needs daily outlets for her energy—walks/runs, playtime, training, etc. Fendi was well known in a local impound for her frequent visits. We aren't sure if she is an escape artist or if her frequent trips out of her house were due to no fault of her own but just in case she will need a securely fenced yard or an owner committed to leashing her (not tie-out) when outside in an unfenced area. She is good with other large breed playful dogs but is a bit too pushy in play and too much for bossy dogs or for smaller dogs. She cannot go to a home with cats or small animals. Fendi is super smart and loves to learn things. She knows how to sit, shake, and lay down. Her leash manners could use a bit of work but even with just a few training sessions she is picking up loose leash walking like an absolute champ. If you are looking for a smart, active, social dog who is ready to go on any adventure with you, Fendi wants to be your pooch! Requirements: No cats Adoption Fee: $500 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives. Story
Name: Mazzie Breeds: Husky Age: Adult Sex: Female Size: Medium Mazzie is a Husky found as an unclaimed stray and not reclaimed. We can’t imagine someone not wanting this girl! She is excellent with dogs and adores all people. She does think cats are a bit too fun to chase so needs a cat free home. She is surprisingly quiet for a husky though sometimes will give a quiet woo-woo for attention. She is housetrained and used to being crated for the workday. Mazzie is truly as beautiful in personality and she is in looks. She is laid-back but never turns down a romp in the snow or a walk! She is about 45 lbs and 4 years old. Requirements: No cats Adoption Fee: $500 + tax. Story
Name: Stuffy Breeds: Husky/ Pomeranian Mix Age: Young Adult Sex: Female Size: Medium Stuffy is a husky/Pomeranian who is everything a Pomsky should be—good, bad, and everything in between. If you like a dog with lots of personality, mischief, and sass then you will love Stuffy. If you want a quiet, mellow dog who always minds and never talks back then Stuffy is not for you. She is heavy on the husky in looks but in a smaller, petite package. Stuffy adores other dogs and loves to play with them. She is a bit pushy in play and overwhelming to calm dogs because she doesn’t take no for an answer—because who wouldn’t want to play with her? For a playful dog she is a best friend since she can go on and on running and wrestling. Stuffy adores people and is tolerant of everything. She frequently gets picked up to get put in her kennel and doesn’t even mind “air jail”. Will she tell you her opinions of being locked up…absolutely. Stuffy is not for apartments or shared walls unless your neighbors too would like to hear her opinions shouted. She is housetrained, crates for the workday, and does mind her manners in the house as best as her little mischievous self can—she doesn’t know how the trash can got tipped over or why the barbie doesn’t have feet anymore but definitely probably was not her ;). Stuffy will bring so much love, happy chaos, and fun to any house lucky enough to choose her. Requirements: Training sign up recommended Adoption Fee: $550 + tax. Story
Hi, I’m Lollie, and I’m one fun gal! I’m a little fluffball and I have an enthusiastic zest for life. I love to play with my foster siblings and sniff around the yard. I love people, other dogs and life! I am confident and can’t wait to learn new things. I live in an xpen when my family is out and sleep there too with my siblings. I can’t wait to find my family! Lollie is estimated to be 10 weeks old and 10 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Story
Hi! I'm Styles. I am from Minnesota. Styles is a good boy with the typical Husky characteristics. He is friendly to everyone he meets and enjoys loving on the kids in his foster home and giving kisses. He also enjoys playing with the resident dog that is ok with his mouthy play. Styles has a lot of energy. A home that can keep him stimulated and active would be best. He is crate trained and will go in his crate without a problem. When excited, he does howl, so a home without shared walls would be best. His favorite thing to do is hang outside in the yard and keep watch for the bunnies that live under the shed in the back. This boy has a high prey drive and is very interested in little critters when they catch his eye. It is unknown if he is good with cats. He is learning leash manners. If coming across a squirrel or small bird he does get excited and want to pull. Using a gentle leader seems to help but he is still getting used to wearing one and is not the biggest fan.

My name is Chimera and I'm from Minnesota. My start in life was hard, I lost my mommy and 3 siblings in a house fire at 3 weeks old. I was brought to my current foster home with my two siblings Phoenix and Sal and have flourished, I recovered from the fire and am a healthy pup. I love to play with my siblings, I have learned to use the doggy door and am doing great with potty training. I love adventures in the backyard and do great with the other dogs. My personality is sweet and cuddly. I have been to many puppy parties and am a hit every time. My foster mom thinks I'll do great with kids and would do good with cats too. I'm looking for a family who will love me forever.

Story
I am looking for a foster or forever family! Please email admissions@thebondbetween.org to sign up to foster! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi! I'm Lady Luck. I am from Missouri. Meet Lady Luck. Lady Luck is a spayed husky. She is about 7 years old and a hefty (overweight) 71 pounds. She was released from a breeder and is ready to live her best life. Lady Luck has been in a foster home with our rescue partner - here's what they have to say about her: "Lady Luck is probably one of the sweetest huskies we have come across and not to mention a stunner with her heterochromia(two colored eyes)! A life spent stuck inside a pen and used for profit instead of companionship, she is a breeder release but you would never know it by her affectionate heart and her adventurous spirit! She has a zest for life and LOVES to love - we think she may have done some freelancing for kissing booths at one point in a past life? Be prepared for a love that knows no boundaries - she will crawl in your lap and stay there as long as you'll keep petting her This extra furry & fluffy girl doesn't let her weight stop her and will frolick with the best of them! She loves walking around in the mornings and observing the birds and wildlife teeming about. Though respectful on leash, we know she would LOVE to have a big yard to patrol and a canine buddy to hang out with. She has not been cat tested. We think with her size and eager spirit maybe older children would be best (6+) but she loves affection and would make a great buddy for a child. She is a great girl for grooming despite still a work in progress to get her fur where it needs to be (but we are getting there!) At the end of the day, all Lady wants is to be by your side and enjoying the good life with you."

Story
Hi, my name is Daisy and I'm as adorable as I look!I love meeting new people and enjoy having my belly rubbed and snuggles.I'm about a year old and love to go for walks and run around at the dog park, I live with my foster mom and 2 other dogs, the 3 of us all love to play, and my favorite game is chase! When my foster mom is at work I stay in my kennel, I can get a little anxious when she leaves but having other dogs in the house helps me. At night I like to sleep on the bed or on the dog bed next to the bed.I'm housebroken and like to go outside regularly, I'm really good on the leash but can be a little energetic if I see birds or squirrels. I would be happiest with a fenced-in yard as I like to run and play.I know a couple of commands and my foster mom thinks I'll learn more easily, treats are a good motivator.I do well with kids and other dogs, I love car rides and going on adventures! Hope to see you soon! --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $475To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Hi there friends! The humans call me Bolt. I LOVE to be loved. I love getting brushed. I'm very curious and watch what the humans are doing. I have 2 foster brothers that are dogs, and 3 foster siblings that are cats. I'm shy and figuring things out still, but I'm starting to play when my brothers want to wrestle. I love kongs and treats. I think I show my BEST sit when I smell treats. I've been on a few car rides and so far, so good!I'd like my forever family to love me and include me as part of the family. It would be great if they had kids and another dog. My brother "Double Stuffed Oreo" lives with me too and I would love it if we could be be adopted together but if not, I would love to keep in touch with him! We have been together our whole lives! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Want to meet me? Come to the Underdog Headquarters (3345 Dakota Ave, St. Louis Park, 55416) for an Adoption Event filled with puppies on Sunday June 16th, 12:00-1:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Hi I'm Drizzle!  I'm the only boy in my litter and love playing with my sisters!  I enjoy doing zoomies and finding the biggest toys I can.  Hard chew toys are good too, but the soft ones or ropes are my favorites!  I love following my foster mom around and I'm always ready to give her kisses and snuggles if she wants them.  I'm ready to snuggle up with you forever so let's meet and fall in love.  I should be about 35-50 pounds full grown (best guess). I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE.
