Story
Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!

Story
Meet Remi: Professional Shoe Inspector & Part-Time Pig 🐷🐾 Hi, I'm Remi. My résumé includes being ridiculously handsome, incredibly sweet, and making sure absolutely no shoe in the house feels lonely. Don't worry—I don't chew them. I just like to "borrow" them and lie next to them. It's called interior decorating. You wouldn't understand. I'm a pretty chill guy most of the day. I enjoy leisurely strolls, supervising whatever everyone else is doing, and quietly investigating the cat's daily business. If you have another dog, I'm happy to coexist and don't mind them at all. I also walk beautifully on a leash, so I like to think I'm the classy one on our outings. Now, every once in a while, I experience what scientists call “The Zoomies.” For approximately five glorious minutes, I transform into a furry race car, sprint laps around the yard like I've been training for the Doggy Olympics... and then immediately return to my regularly scheduled relaxation. During my zooms though, watch out! I jump over furniture and play a little "parkour". Due to this, I'd do best with older kids who can handle my jumping and sporty-ness! People say I play fetch, but that's a bit generous. I'll enthusiastically chase the ball... bringing it back, however, seems like your job. I'm affectionate once I get to know you and love having my head and ears rubbed. I'll happily hang out with you, although I'm more of a "I'll lie on the floor nearby" kind of companion than a full-time lap dog. Quiet by nature, I rarely bark, and I was wonderful meeting the shelter and veterinary staff. New people don't seem to bother me much. One of my greatest talents? When I get excited, I make the cutest little snorting noises that sound suspiciously like a tiny pig. It's impossible not to laugh. I'm mostly house-trained, with just a few accidents when I first arrived and after my neuter surgery. I'm not food aggressive, ride nicely in the car (even in a kennel), and while I'm not a fan of being kenneled in the house—I may voice my opinion about it—I settle just fine for travel. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who's equal parts couch potato, neighborhood walking buddy, occasional zoomie champion, and full-time shoe enthusiast, I think we should meet. I promise to keep you smiling... and your footwear closely supervised.

Story
Hi there! I’m basically your shadow with four legs and a wagging tail. If you’re looking for a dog who believes personal space is wildly overrated, I’m your girl. My favorite place in the world is right next to my person — on the couch, in the hammock, on a walk, supervising you in the kitchen, or curled up beside you while you relax. I’m a calm, affectionate sweetheart who loves cuddles just as much as I love making people laugh. If you pet me, I will absolutely lean my whole body into you like it’s my full-time job. I’m pretty laid back around the house and totally content lounging nearby with a puzzle toy or squeaky ball, but don’t let that fool you — I also love adventures! Walks are my favorite thing ever, and I’m happy no matter how long they are. I enjoy runs, sniffing new things, and playing fetch… although I like to add my own special version called “keep away first, fetch second.” One of my funniest habits is proudly bringing my toy back by casually walking past you first like I’m in a parade before finally handing it over. I’m super curious, confident around traffic and new environments, and smart enough to figure just about anything out… which brings us to my next disclaimer. I’m an extremely talented escape artist. Seriously. Houdini would be impressed. I love my people so much that being left alone is very hard for me, and I do have separation anxiety. If no one is around, I may sing you the saddest songs of my people while trying to engineer my escape from even the toughest kennel setup. But if someone is nearby? I can happily relax in my kennel all day without making a peep. Because of that, I’d thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time — work-from-home humans, stay-at-home families, retirees, or anyone who wants a constant companion would be my dream come true. I should also confess that I’m a bit of a counter surfer and opportunistic snack thief, so keeping food out of reach is definitely part of loving me! I’m potty trained on a schedule, though may have the occasional accident if unattended. I am great on leash, and I already know how to kennel on command once I trust you. I adore kids and greet everyone with excited tail wags and play bows, but I should mention I don’t quite understand that tiny humans may not appreciate surprise face kisses and enthusiastic jumping. I do best with male dogs and should avoid living with other female dogs as I have had past guarding behavior. I can not share my space with cats or other small pets. I would love to be the only pet.   I’m just a goofy, stubborn, loving girl who wants to be adored as much as I adore my people. Give me your attention, your couch, and a secure “Alcatraz-level” kennel setup, and I’ll give you endless love, loyalty, laughs, and companionship in return.

Story
Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! I am two VERY loyal breeds and once I know you are my family, you will have my unending love :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
