Story
Meet Ghost. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!

Story
Carmelito is a big-hearted guy with an even bigger smile! This lovable goofball is convinced that he is, in fact, a lap dog—and honestly, who are we to argue? Carmelito loves snuggling on the couch and will happily curl up next to his favorite people at bedtime. He is affectionate, devoted, and happiest when he gets to be close to the people he loves. When he's not busy perfecting his cuddle skills, Carmelito enjoys getting outside and having some fun! He loves running around with his dog friends, playing chase, going for walks, and settling in with a stuffed or durable chew toy. He's also delightfully clumsy and has a tendency to tumble around on the couch in ways that keep his people laughing. With his goofy grin and equally goofy personality, Carmelito is never short on charm. Carmelito is house-trained, rarely has accidents, and walks nicely on a harness, making him a wonderful companion for daily adventures. He does well with other dogs and is respectful of their boundaries, enjoying their company and opportunities to play. Carmelito can be nervous when meeting new people, especially men, and will need patient, slow introductions while he continues building his confidence. Once he knows he's safe, though, his sweet and affectionate personality truly shines. He is also working on resource guarding around toys, treats, and food, so his new family should be prepared to continue training and thoughtfully manage those situations. For the right family, Carmelito will be a loyal, loving, goofy companion with plenty of cuddles, smiles, and personality to share. Give this big lap dog a little patience and a place to feel safe, and he'll happily reward you with endless affection—and probably a few entertaining couch tumbles along the way! ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*

Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Haku can only be adopted in the local or TX area. Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX)

Story
Ruby is a stunning Husky mix with a gentle soul and wonderful manners. This beautiful girl has the softest, sweetest presence and is an absolute joy to be around. She listens well, knows commands, and truly wants to please her people. Ruby has already shown what an amazing dog she is by raising four puppies and doing a phenomenal job. She was a devoted, loving mom and has transitioned seamlessly into being a calm, affectionate companion. She loves people, does well with other dogs, and is a dream indoors. Ruby is fully house-trained, crate-trained (though she doesn’t need one), and has excellent house manners, no chewing or destructive behaviors. Outside, her playful Husky side shines. She loves to run, play, and show off her zoomies. Like most Huskies, Ruby thrives with regular exercise and mental stimulation. If bored, she may try to explore, so a secure yard and an active lifestyle are important. She has been around cats and will bark at them, but with time and guidance, this may improve. Ruby would do best with an adopter who understands the Husky breed and is ready to give her the activity, structure, and love she deserves. In return, she will be a loyal, affectionate, and truly special companion. ✨ Ruby is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and loving Husky mix to add to your family, Ruby just might be your perfect match. 💕🐶 Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hi there! I’m basically your shadow with four legs and a wagging tail. If you’re looking for a dog who believes personal space is wildly overrated, I’m your girl. My favorite place in the world is right next to my person — on the couch, in the hammock, on a walk, supervising you in the kitchen, or curled up beside you while you relax. I’m a calm, affectionate sweetheart who loves cuddles just as much as I love making people laugh. If you pet me, I will absolutely lean my whole body into you like it’s my full-time job. I’m pretty laid back around the house and totally content lounging nearby with a puzzle toy or squeaky ball, but don’t let that fool you — I also love adventures! Walks are my favorite thing ever, and I’m happy no matter how long they are. I enjoy runs, sniffing new things, and playing fetch… although I like to add my own special version called “keep away first, fetch second.” One of my funniest habits is proudly bringing my toy back by casually walking past you first like I’m in a parade before finally handing it over. I’m super curious, confident around traffic and new environments, and smart enough to figure just about anything out… which brings us to my next disclaimer. I’m an extremely talented escape artist. Seriously. Houdini would be impressed. I love my people so much that being left alone is very hard for me, and I do have separation anxiety. If no one is around, I may sing you the saddest songs of my people while trying to engineer my escape from even the toughest kennel setup. But if someone is nearby? I can happily relax in my kennel all day without making a peep. Because of that, I’d thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time — work-from-home humans, stay-at-home families, retirees, or anyone who wants a constant companion would be my dream come true. I should also confess that I’m a bit of a counter surfer and opportunistic snack thief, so keeping food out of reach is definitely part of loving me! I’m potty trained on a schedule, though may have the occasional accident if unattended. I am great on leash, and I already know how to kennel on command once I trust you. I adore kids and greet everyone with excited tail wags and play bows, but I should mention I don’t quite understand that tiny humans may not appreciate surprise face kisses and enthusiastic jumping. I do best with male dogs and should avoid living with other female dogs as I have had past guarding behavior. I can not share my space with cats or other small pets. I would love to be the only pet.   I’m just a goofy, stubborn, loving girl who wants to be adored as much as I adore my people. Give me your attention, your couch, and a secure “Alcatraz-level” kennel setup, and I’ll give you endless love, loyalty, laughs, and companionship in return.

Story
Frida is a goofy, wrinkly-faced Bulldog/Boxer mix who is discovering that life can be pretty darn fun! She's settling into foster care beautifully, and the more comfortable she gets, the more her playful and cuddly personality comes shining through. When Frida comes out of her kennel, she's ready to party! Her first order of business is usually grabbing a toy, shaking it with great enthusiasm, and racing around like she just won the lottery. She particularly enjoys her stuffed mammoth, which she flails around with impressive determination. She knows how to play fetch, too—she's just still deciding whether outdoor fetch is worth learning. Once she's gotten the zoomies out, Frida is happy to switch gears and become a couch potato. She loves being invited up for cuddles and will happily sit between your legs when you call her over. Her foster has discovered a hilarious routine: Frida will leave the couch when she's finished getting pets, settle onto her bed, and then stare intensely at her person until she's invited back. Five minutes later, she's apparently forgotten that she was the one who left and is ready for another cuddle session. 😂 Frida has an adorable little excited "huff" or "harumph" when she's feeling playful, waiting for dinner, or hoping it's time to go outside. Combined with her irresistible wrinkles and wiggly butt, she has no shortage of ways to make her foster family smile. She's enthusiastic about meeting new people and has shown playful, excited interest in other dogs. She can be a little unsure in unusual situations—meeting people outside in the dark was understandably suspicious—but once she could see what was happening, her wiggly personality returned. She's had some short, on-leash interactions with her foster's resident dog and has been playful and excited, although introductions are currently being kept brief. Frida is fantastic in her crate and sleeps peacefully there overnight. She can also stay crated during the workday without a problem. She's fully potty trained and has gone overnight and through a 9-hour workday without an accident. She's learning her basic commands and appears to know sit and shake with hand signals. She's excited when the leash comes out and hasn't shown any leash reactivity, although she's still working on remembering that walks aren't a sled-dog competition. And one important note: Frida apparently has very strong interior decorating opinions. A blanket in her kennel lasted approximately long enough for her to discover it before she completely destroyed it. She's perfectly happy with her bare kennel, so perhaps minimalist décor is her preferred style. Frida is affectionate, playful, goofy, and full of personality. She's got the wrinkles, the wiggles, the toys, and the absolutely adorable harumphs—and she's ready to find a family who will appreciate every bit of her wonderfully silly self. ❤️🐶

Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! I am two VERY loyal breeds and once I know you are my family, you will have my unending love :) Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
