He loves people and other dogs and knows basic commands such as sit, down and wait. He is also kennel-trained. Chevy loves to be affectionate, but also respects your space and doesn’t jump on people. Story
Meet Aspen, a stunning 3.5-month-old husky weighing about 18 pounds. Aspen is a delightful young pup full of curiosity and charm. She adores being around people and will happily follow you wherever you go, eager to be a part of the action. Aspen is a snuggler and loves nothing more than cuddling up close for some quality bonding time. Her sweet nature and fast learning ability make her a joy to be around.Aspen is already showing great progress with her training. She knows how to sit and is eager to learn more. She has been doing exceptionally well with crate training, making her transition into her new home much smoother. Aspen is also showing promising signs of being potty trained, as she indicates when she needs to go outside by sniffing around.Aspen would thrive in a loving home where she can receive plenty of attention and guidance as she continues to learn and grow. A family that enjoys spending time outdoors and can provide her with regular exercise and mental stimulation would be ideal. Aspen would also benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to help her become the best companion she can be.If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, and fast-learning puppy to join your family, Aspen could be the perfect match for you!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Name: Fendi Breeds: Pit Bull/ Husky Mix Age: Young Adult Sex: Female Size: Large Fendi is a uniquely colored bi colored eye girl who isn't just a pretty face. Nope, this sweetheart also has a great personality and some training under her belt! She is housetrained (though with any dog expect accidents as she transitions), crates well, and minds her manners in the house. She adores people of all ages though the little ones might get bumped over from her playful nature. She has the energy you would expect from a husky and a pittie so needs daily outlets for her energy—walks/runs, playtime, training, etc. Fendi was well known in a local impound for her frequent visits. We aren't sure if she is an escape artist or if her frequent trips out of her house were due to no fault of her own but just in case she will need a securely fenced yard or an owner committed to leashing her (not tie-out) when outside in an unfenced area. She is good with other large breed playful dogs but is a bit too pushy in play and too much for bossy dogs or for smaller dogs. She cannot go to a home with cats or small animals. Fendi is super smart and loves to learn things. She knows how to sit, shake, and lay down. Her leash manners could use a bit of work but even with just a few training sessions she is picking up loose leash walking like an absolute champ. If you are looking for a smart, active, social dog who is ready to go on any adventure with you, Fendi wants to be your pooch! Requirements: No cats Adoption Fee: $500 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives. Story
Name: Mazzie Breeds: Husky Age: Adult Sex: Female Size: Medium Mazzie is a Husky found as an unclaimed stray and not reclaimed. We can’t imagine someone not wanting this girl! She is excellent with dogs and adores all people. She does think cats are a bit too fun to chase so needs a cat free home. She is surprisingly quiet for a husky though sometimes will give a quiet woo-woo for attention. She is housetrained and used to being crated for the workday. Mazzie is truly as beautiful in personality and she is in looks. She is laid-back but never turns down a romp in the snow or a walk! She is about 45 lbs and 4 years old. Requirements: No cats Adoption Fee: $500 + tax. Story
Name: Stuffy Breeds: Husky/ Pomeranian Mix Age: Young Adult Sex: Female Size: Medium Stuffy is a husky/Pomeranian who is everything a Pomsky should be—good, bad, and everything in between. If you like a dog with lots of personality, mischief, and sass then you will love Stuffy. If you want a quiet, mellow dog who always minds and never talks back then Stuffy is not for you. She is heavy on the husky in looks but in a smaller, petite package. Stuffy adores other dogs and loves to play with them. She is a bit pushy in play and overwhelming to calm dogs because she doesn’t take no for an answer—because who wouldn’t want to play with her? For a playful dog she is a best friend since she can go on and on running and wrestling. Stuffy adores people and is tolerant of everything. She frequently gets picked up to get put in her kennel and doesn’t even mind “air jail”. Will she tell you her opinions of being locked up…absolutely. Stuffy is not for apartments or shared walls unless your neighbors too would like to hear her opinions shouted. She is housetrained, crates for the workday, and does mind her manners in the house as best as her little mischievous self can—she doesn’t know how the trash can got tipped over or why the barbie doesn’t have feet anymore but definitely probably was not her ;). Stuffy will bring so much love, happy chaos, and fun to any house lucky enough to choose her. Requirements: Training sign up recommended Adoption Fee: $550 + tax. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is Balto, one of Lulu's 10 puppies that were all saved from a SD Reservation. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. Balto was adopted as a puppy and returned as an adult due to family changes.  Hi I'm Balto and I am looking for my forever home. I'm from a litter of 10 puppies and we all found our forever homes until mine didn't have time for a 'dog' anymore. So I ended up back at the rescue where I started. I'm in a foster home now and lucky to be with one of my sisters from my litter and I have a foster brother who is a Chihuahua mix. I get along with both of them and love playing with my sister but I am selective with all the animals in the home at times, so I would need to be an only pet in the home. I can socialize outside the home with other dogs, I just don't like to share when I'm in my own place. I have lots of puppy energy so I need a family that will help me learn and grow. I do know your basic commands sit, stay, lay, down and no. I like playing with toys, stuffies, chew bones, balls playing tug with my sister fetch with my foster parents. I do destroy stuffies so we might want to wait on them until I'm older. I love playing outside with my sister (fenced in yard) and going for walks with the whole family. I have lots of energy to burn so I need to stay busy so I don't do any naughty things when I'm bored. (Chew toys are a must) I take naps after a good play or walk and I love to snuggle with my human and sometimes I think I'm a lap dog. I'm a good eater and drink lots of water treats are good too but make me work for them so I don't forget my training. My foster parents tell me I'm a good boy when getting my treats I like that. I also like to relax and just sit in the yard / deck and watch the squirrels and birds. I'm okay by myself but would prefer my human to relax with me.(snuggles) I also love to hold your hand with my paw when we're just chilling. I do great in the car and love going for rides and watching out the window. I'm good with meeting new people I love the attention and I sit for kids and let them give me all the pets and belly rubs they want. When we go for our walks I do good when passing other people and dogs unless they want to meet me then I sit and get all the pets I can. When at home I do get jealous if my foster brother or sister is getting attention I like to push my way in and get the attention for myself I'm working on that now. I'm also working on sharing toys and chew bones with my foster siblings I like to have them all to myself but my foster parents tell me I am getting better at sharing them just need to be reminded at times. I'm still a young boy learning. We have cats in my foster home but I don't know how to react/play with them I get so excited I scare them so at this time I cannot be around the cats. My foster parents think when I'm older I could have a cat sibling. So at this time I am good with kids, a fenced in yard and no dogs or cats. So if you think you are my forever home and family and will continue to work with me let's meet. I'm ready for my forever family.  Balto is fully potty trained and will go to the door and bark/whine when he needs to go out. He also sleeps through the night anywhere from 8-12 hours depending on how much exercise he had the day before. He loves to sleep with his humans but will sleep on the floor, couch or dog bed if preferred. Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 9, 2024, 9:47 am

Story
Ghost is an active, good doggy who loves his people as well as playing rough and tumble with dog friends at the dog park or doggie daycare. We’ve had him since he was a puppy and he’s lived with three young children, but often wants to play with them like they are dog friends. As the kids have grown, life is getting busier and busier so we know Ghost needs to get his energy out and is getting anxious and bored! He would do great with an experienced owner who can help remind him of some good obedience and who is active. He’s a sweet, loyal dog, with a feisty, excited spirit. We want him to be his happy self again with more time and attention!!

Story
Hi, my name is Jacob and I was an owner surrender. From the foster: We are Jacobs second foster family, his first foster had this to say " Jacob is a happy, handsome Husky with calm energy. I describe it as calm energy because it is different than puppy energy. He will talk to you in his low husky voice to say good morning, tell you he his hungry or when he sees the leash come out because he is excited to go and explore. He loves to spend time in the backyard and play with our neighbor's dog. He lives with our 6 year old cattle dog and my 11 and 13 year old. Jacob likes to be pet, brushed, and snuggle while watching TV. Sometimes he will fetch, but it seems to be on his terms. I noticed that he likes to bury his toys in blankets which is super cute. I have enjoyed getting to know this husky breed, sometimes he seems so human. He even tried to keep the kids from jumping in the pool by putting his arms around them. While Jacob is 6, it does not appear that he had been taught basic obedience. He is a very good boy considering the lack of training. He rarely barks, he only jumps up when he sees the leash, and has not shown any leash aggression. He may get excited to see another dog, but it is not aggression. Jacob will pull on a leash until he gets more energy out and then he will settle in. He will require a fenced yard and training for owner and Jacob to be the best they can be together." Our update: In the time that Jacob has been with us he has not had any accidents in the house, though he did mark his favorite bed once. He loves wrestling with our two year old malamute and the two of them will play for hours. Jake does have a little bit of the typical husky mischief making and stubbornness. We have been working hard on his obedience which is improving quickly. As well he has been crated at night and during the day when we are away. While he does not like his crate, he protests less every day and generally quiets down after a few minutes. Jacob is a great companion and a joy to spend time with. Jacob has been taking an anti anxiety medication through his transition to our home. Our impression is that he is fearful of being left alone and the medication helps him relax in his crate when we have to leave him. The hope is that once he is more comfortable with his crate and settling into a forever home that he would no longer need this medication.

Story
I am looking for a foster or forever family! Please CLICK HERE to sign up to foster! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt. Hi! I'm Styles. I am from Minnesota. Styles is a good boy with the typical Husky characteristics. He is friendly to everyone he meets and enjoys loving on the kids in his foster home and giving kisses. He also enjoys playing with the resident dog that is ok with his mouthy play. Styles has a lot of energy. A home that can keep him stimulated and active would be best. He is crate trained and will go in his crate without a problem. When excited, he does howl, so a home without shared walls would be best. His favorite thing to do is hang outside in the yard and keep watch for the bunnies that live under the shed in the back. This boy has a high prey drive and is very interested in little critters when they catch his eye. It is unknown if he is good with cats. He is learning leash manners. If coming across a squirrel or small bird he does get excited and want to pull. Using a gentle leader seems to help but he is still getting used to wearing one and is not the biggest fan.

Story
Vivo needs a temp foster from May 10-12. Please CLICK HERE to sign up to foster! Hi! My name is Vivo and I am from Oklahoma. Vivo is the sweetest, snuggliest baby boy, he has stolen our (and every person he meets) hearts! He hasn't had any accidents in the house as long as he's let out on a schedule. We're working on basic commands like sit, lay down, and stay, but he runs happily to you when you tell him to come. We're still working on crate training and do all his feedings in his kennel to try to help with it. Based on what we've observed we're assuming he has some sort of bad experience with being kenneled, he will demonstrate all the husky noises (shared walls are probably not a great idea). Aside from being kenneled he hasn't been very vocal aside from stretching and occasionally during play. He does great with our 4.5 year old doggo (does a great job of giving him space) and loves to play with our 6 month old puppy too! Apply today to meet the happy boy who stole our hearts! Shared walls probably won't be ideal while he's crate training. He howls and cries like a typical husky but otherwise he's pretty quiet for a husky.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Hi I'm Drizzle!  I'm the only boy in my litter and love playing with my sisters!  I enjoy doing zoomies and finding the biggest toys I can.  Hard chew toys are good too, but the soft ones or ropes are my favorites!  I love following my foster mom around and I'm always ready to give her kisses and snuggles if she wants them.  I'm ready to snuggle up with you forever so let's meet and fall in love.  I should be about 35-50 pounds full grown (best guess). I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE.
